Abstract

 ABSTRACTThis study was conducted at SMP Negri 4 Tualang in the second semester of the school years 2012/2013. The subject of the research is students of class VIIIE. There are 36 student in that class, consisting 18 girl and 18 boys who have heterogeneous academic ability. The goal of this study is to improve students’ mathematics achievement, especially in geometrical (cubes, blocks, prisms, and limas) by applying the Cooperative Learning Think Pair Square Approach. This study is an action research. There are two cycles and four stages in this study. Each cycle has four stages, they are planning, action, observation, and reflection. The result of research showed that the improvement of students learning achievement. The percentage of first cycle showed that students who get minimum achievement criteria (MMC), from 50% to 72,22%. While, in the second cycle, the percentage of students who minimum achievement criteria (MMC) increase to 91,66%. In other words, the implementation of Cooperative Learning Think Pair Square can improve students’ mathematics achievement in class VIIIE of SMP Negeri 4 Tualang, especially in geometrical in the school years 2012/2013.          Key words: Cooperative Learning, Think Pair Square, Learning Achievement

Abstract

outcomes of students of class XI MIPA 1 SMA Babussalam Pekanbaru odd semester of the academic year 2017/2018. Form of research conducted is action research (PTK) with 2 cycles. The research subjects consisted of 24 female students and 6 male students with heterogeneous ability. The research data collection instrument is an observation sheet used to obtain teacher and student activity data during the learning process and the mathematics learning result test. The observation sheet was analyzed descriptively narrative, while the test of learning result was analyzed by descriptive statistic. Based on the data analysis of teacher and student activity after applying Discovery Learning, teacher and student activity started to run well and experienced improvement at each meeting. Based on the data analysis of student learning outcomes, there is an increase in student learning outcomes in each cycle. Based on the analysis of KKM achievement, the number of students who reached KKM at UH 1 amounted to 27 people with the percentage of 90% and UH 2 was 28 people with the percentage of 93%. Based on the frequency distribution analysis, an increase in the number of students who scored above the KKM. From this research, it can be concluded that the application of Discovery Learning models, can improve the learning process and also can remind students of mathematics learning result of grade XI Science 1 of Babussalam Senior High School Pekanbaru. Abstract

Abstract: This research is a classroom action research that aims to improve the learning process and improve student learning outcomes through the application of the Discovery Learning model. This research was conducted in class VII1 of SMP Negeri 3 Pekanbaru in the 2019/2020 odd semester school year. The subjects of this study were 40 students consisting of 21 male students and 19 female students. The study was done in two cycles with each cycle consisting of three meetings and one repetition every day. The research instrument used was a learning device and data collection instrument. Learning tools consist of syllabus, lesson plan, and student work sheet. Data collection instruments consisted of observation sheets and learning outcomes tests. Based on data analysis of teacher and student activities, it appears that there is an improvement in the learning process after the Discovery Learning model is applied. The data obtained from the student mathematics learning achievement test shows that the competence of knowledge decreased the frequency of students at low and very low intervals from the base score (8 students) to the UH I score (4 students) and to the UH II score (2 students) as well as an increase in the frequency of students at high and very high intervals base score (21 students) to UH I score (34 students) and to UH II score (37 students). The competence of skills decreased the frequency of students at low and very low intervals from the base score (8 students) to the UH I score (6 students) and to the UH II score (4 students) as well as an increase in the frequency of students at high and very high intervals base score (21 students) to UH I score (23 students) and to UH II score (30 students).This study results indicate that the implementation of the Discovery Learning model can improve the learning process and improve mathematics learning outcomes of grade VII1 students of SMP Negeri 3 Pekanbaru.Key Words : Classroom Action Research, Discovery Learning Model, Mathematical Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract:This research aims to improve the learning process and improve learning outcomes mathematicsin third grade students of SDN 67 Pematang Pudu by applying the model of Learning Direct. The subjects were third-grade students who have academic ability heterogeneous. This research is a class act with two cycles. Each cycle consisted of three meetings and one at each end of the cycle UH and has four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results of observational studies showed the teachers and students sheets activities have done after the action. An increase in the number of students who achieved KKM in UH in the end of each cyclecompare to the number of students who achieve a score of KKM on base. The results of this study showed that the application of direct instructional model can improve the process of learning and improving learning outcomes mathematics in third grade students of SDN 67 Pematang Pudu Mandau District in the odd semester of the academic year 2013/2014.  Keywords: Learning Process, Mathematics Learning Outcomes, Learning Direct, classroom action research

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes by implementing Cooperative Learning Think Pair Share (TPS) in class V SD Negeri 005 Desa Binuang. In the first semester of academic year 2012/2013. This study uses classroom action research. the subject studied were student of class V SD Negeri 005 Desa Binuang, with academic and social heterogeneous. Implementation phase of this study consisted of planning, action, observation, reflection. conducted in two cycles, six meetings and two quizzes. The activity student and teachers learning outcomes data were gained by collecting activity data by using observation sheets, and test. Analysis of the data used descriptive analysis that describes the activities of teachers and students, analysis of the results of learning mathematics. The conclusions of this study indicate that Cooperative Learning Think Pair Share can improve mathematic learning outcomes.Keywords: Cooperative Learning Model, TPS, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: This research is a classroom action research that aims to improve the learning process and improve student learning outcomes through the implementation of the Cooperative learning model of structured approach Numbered Heads Together. This research was conducted in class VII-A of SMP Negeri 2 Minas in the 2019/2020 odd semester school year. The subjects of this study were 25 students consisting of 12 male students and 13 female students. The study was done in two cycles with each cycle consisting of three meetings and one repetition every day. The research instrument used was a learning device and data collection instrument. Learning tools consist of syllabus, lesson plan, student work sheet and NHT question sheet. Data collection instruments consisted of observation sheets and learning outcomes tests. Based on the analysis of students and teacher activities after implementation of the Cooperative learning model of structured approach Numbered Heads Together, it can be concluded that there is an improvement of learning process. In quantitative analysis, On knowledge competence the percentage of students who can reach KKM on a basic score is 20% increased to 52% in Cycle I and increased to 64% in Cycle II. On skill competence, the percentage of students who can reach KKM on a basic score is 20% increased to 36% in Cycle I and increased to 56% in Cycle II. Based on the result, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Cooperative learning model of structured approach Numbered Heads Together can improve the learning process and the students’ mathematics learning outcomes in class of VII-A SMP Negeri 2 Minas.  Key Words : Classroom Action Research, Cooperative Learning Model Of Structured  Approach Numbered Heads Together, Mathematical Learning Outcomes

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to develop instructional materials for teaching statistics using a contextual teaching and learning strategy. The goal is to enhance the mathematical connection abilities of eighth-grade junior high school students. The materials are designed to meet the criteria of validity and practicality. The present study involves the development of a 4-D model, encompassing the stages of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The validation process was carried out by involving three experts. Data pertaining to the feasibility of the teaching materials were acquired through testing conducted on eighth-grade students in a junior high school. The present study examines the validation outcomes of teaching materials, which were categorised as highly valid. Based on the findings of the readability assessment, it was determined that the average score for the "easy to understand" category was 86.97%. In addition, the practicality test meets the "very practical" category. These findings indicate that the use of a contextual approach in statistics material effectively improves students' mathematical connection abilities. This technique proves to be legitimate, easily comprehensible, and particularly beneficial for promoting the development of mathematical connections among eighth-grade junior high school students. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan dalam pengembangan bahan ajar untuk pengajaran statistika menggunakan strategi pengajaran dan pembelajaran kontekstual untuk meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa SMP kelas delapan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan pendekatan kontekstual dalam materi statistika efektif meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa. Bahan ajar ini terbukti valid, mudah dipahami, dan sangat bermanfaat untuk mendorong pengembangan koneksi matematika di kalangan siswa kelas delapan SMP.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil belajar mahasiswa semester II Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Universitas Riau pada mata kuliah kalkulus integral khususnya materi integral luas dan volume pada pembelajaran daring. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subyek penelitian adalah 41 mahasiswa semester II Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Universitas Riau. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes integral luas dan volume berupa 3 soal uraian. Soal terdiri dari 1 soal integral luas dan 2 soal volume integral. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan prestasi belajar siswa pada materi integral luas dan volume sebesar 38,44% dan masih tergolong rendah. Pada masing-masing materi, capaian pada bidang integral sebesar 47,04% berada pada kategori sedang, dan pada integral volume sebesar 34,31% berada pada kategori rendah.
