Abstract

This research aims to develop learning media including pictures storybooks for Strengthening the Character of early childhood in accordance with the Pancasila Student Profile. This book highlights elements and cultural values ​​of Central Kalimantan including characters, clothing, local food, local plants and local wisdom. The book developed contains 5 (five) stories referring to the 5 (five) themes of the Pancasila profile dimensions: devotion to God, Independence, Mutual cooperation, Global diversity, Critical reasoning and Creativity.  The development model used in this research refers to the Borg & Gall model. The research involved experts to carry out validation tests, include design, language and children's story experts. Respondents consisted of early childhood education teachers. The instrument data used includes questionnaires and interview sheets. Responses from teachers and students are analyzed to measure the practicality of using the product. This research is expected to make a significant contribution to children's character education and strengthen the profile of Pancasila students among the younger generation as well as provide new insights for the development of interesting and useful learning media for young children. Apart from that, it also encourages collaboration between educators and experts in creating teaching materials that are in accordance with the curriculum.

Abstract

Learning media plays an important role in the teaching and learning process. The use of media is expected to create positive impacts, such as a more conducive learning environment, feedback, and optimal outcomes. The Sitaya Miniature Media represents a "Solar System" model. This media is a scaled-down replica of the actual arrangement of planets, designed for classroom use to address limitations of time, space, and sensory experiences. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Sitaya miniature media on the cognitive abilities of children in group B aged 5-6 years at TK Islam Darussalam Palangka Raya. This research employs a quantitative approach using an experimental method with a "One Group Pre-Test and Post-Test Design." The sample consists of 17 children from group B at TK Islam Darussalam Palangkaraya, aged 5-6 years. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded from the t-test calculation that the t value obtained is 4.587, while the t table value at a significance level of 5% with 16 degrees of freedom is 2.119. Since t calculated (4.587) > t table (2.119), it can be concluded that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. This indicates that there is an effectiveness of the Sitaya miniature media on the cognitive abilities of children in group B aged 5-6 years at TK Islam Darussalam Palangkaraya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media flipbook interaktif Petualangan Si Handep dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan anak usia dini mengenai pakaian adat dan tarian adat Kalimantan Tengah pada kelompok B1 di TK Bakuwu Palangka Raya. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya pengetahuan anak tentang budaya lokal serta perlunya inovasi media pembelajaran yang menarik, interaktif, dan sesuai dengan karakteristik anak usia dini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen semu (quasi experiment) menggunakan desain pre-test dan post-test. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 15 anak pada kelompok B1 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan tes, dengan instrumen berupa lembar penilaian yang mengukur kemampuan anak dalam mengenal tarian dan pakaian adat. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji N-Gain untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media flipbook Petualangan Si Handep efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan terhadap pakaian adat dan tarian adat Kalimantan Tengah pada anak kelompok B1 di TK Bakuwu Palangka Raya. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan adanya peningkatan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar anak dari niali pre-test 77 ke nilai post-test 186, dengan skor rata-rata dari nilai N-Gain 0,827 yang berkategori tinggi. Dengan demikian, media flipbook interaktif dapat menjadi alternatif media pembelajaran yang inovatif dan menyenangkan dalam mengenalkan budaya lokal pada anak usia dini.
