The population in this study were students of SMK Negeri 2 Binjai with a sample size of 205 people. Data on the use of culinary accounts on instagram media which includes duration and frequency and student eating patterns were collected by means of interviews using the food recall form and the food frequency form. The research results show that199 people (97.1%) students whose types of food are not diverse. This non-variety food consumption was more common among female students at SMK Negeri 2 Binjai. The duration of using culinary accounts on instagram media in the low category is 126 (61.5%). However, the frequency of using culinary accounts on instagram is high, namely 107 (52.2%). The results of the Chi Square test also showed that there was a significant relationship between the duration of using culinary accounts on instagram media and students' eating patterns that were not good (p<0.05). Multivariat analysis also shows that there is a significant effect on the duration and frequency of using culinary accounts on instagram media on students' eating patterns that are not good. The variables that influence student eating patterns are the duration and frequency of using instagram media quinary accounts.

Abstract

Indonesia has a significantly higher maternal mortality ratio (MMR) than other countries in Southeast Asia, and infection is one of the most common causes of maternal deaths, of which premature rupture of membranes (PROM) can be the consequence of the infections. In primary healthcare settings, midwives play an important role in identifying and managing PROM appropriately; however, studies on their knowledge, attitudes, and practices related to PROM are limited. The aim of this study was to determine the midwives' knowledge, attitude and healthcare practice on PROM in Indonesia. A cross-sectional study was conducted among midwives at primary healthcare facilities in Samosir and Toba Regency, North Sumatra, Indonesia, from July to November 2022. The knowledge, attitude and practice towards PROM were assessed. Results showed that 57.5% of midwives had poor knowledge and 35.1% had poor attitude levels. There were 4.9% of midwives referred the patients immediately to the hospital. Our data indicated that aged 31−40 or 41−50 years, having a lower than bachelor degree and having a higher monthly number of referred PROM patients were significantly associated with poor knowledge compared to younger, having a bachelor degree, and lower monthly referral patient number, respectively. Similarly, younger, having higher degree and a having lower monthly referral number of PROM cases were associated with higher chances of having a sufficient-good attitude towards PROM. This study highlights that a significant percentage of midwives had poor levels of knowledge and attitude, and age, educational level and monthly referral number of PROM cases were associated with the level of knowledge and attitude.

Abstract

Children's welfare in the health aspect can be seen in the level of growth and development of children. Socio-demographics and family food security are important because they affect the nutritional status of the community. If food security and sociodemographics are lacking, nutritional status will also be lacking and cause a decline in health status. This condition can lead to malnutrition or stunting in the community. This study aims to analyze the influence of socio-demographics and food security on the incidence of stunting in Medan City. This type of research is quantitative observational with a survey research study design using a cross-sectional study design that examines at a certain point in time the entire sample population or predetermined subset. The sample in this study was 266 toddlers from Medan Tuntungan, Medan Maimun, Medan Sunggal, Medan Helvetia and Medan Denai sub-districts. The analytical method used is bivariate analysis using the chi square test and multivariate analysis using logistic regression. The results showed that there was a positive and significant effect of the variables of mother's education, birth spacing and family income on the incidence of stunting in toddlers in Medan City with a p value <0.05. Furthermore, it was found that there was no significant effect of the variable number of children, mother's occupation and family food security on the incidence of stunting in toddlers in Medan City. Mothers should be able to find additional sources of income that can increase family income without neglecting the provision of good parenting for toddlers. This is done to increase the understanding of mothers in providing adequate nutritional intake to children under five

Obesity, diabetes mellitus, and hypertension in patient with renal kidney disorder increase the risk of renal failure which is characterized by decrease in the filtration capacity of kidney (glomerulus filtration pace). If the filtration capacity below 15 cc per minute, patient should had take hemodialysis for survival. In addition, it is important for them to control their eating pattern. The objective of the study would be to know food consumption pattern of patient with kidney failure taking ambulatory hemodialysis. This is a descriptive study with a cross-sectional design. Population was patient with renal failure undergoing ambulatory hemodialysis in RSUD dr. Pirngadi Medan. The size of sample was 55 of patients taken purposively. The data of food consumption pattern were collected by means of food frequency questionnaire and 24 hours food recall which was conducted two times. The result showed that most of the patients aged between 54 and 62 years old. Food consumption patterns─type, quantity, and frequency─were categorized as ‘not good’. Also, potassium and sodium intakes were in the ‘not good’ category. In general, the daily water intake of the patient was in excessive amount.
