Abstract

This study aims to determine the field observation activities of PPKn SD learning in improving the teaching ability of Pkn to prospective elementary school teacher students at Ahmad Dahlan University Yogyakarta in the 2019/2020 academic year. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data collection instruments were lecturers' diaries, observation sheets, interview guides and reflection sheets. The research was carried out in the Ahmad Dahlan University Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD) study program in the Elementary School PPKn Learning course for the 2019/2020 academic year. The results showed that efforts to improve Civics teaching skills for elementary school teacher candidates were carried out in three ways, namely: 1) Internalizing Civics pedagogical skills in Elementary Schools through innovative elementary school civics education practice development courses, 2) habituation of elementary school civics pedagogic skills and 3 ) the existence of supporting activities, namely through the Field Observation of PPKn Learning in Elementary Schools to support the pedagogic skills of PKn Elementary School Students of Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD).

Abstract

Ketidaksamaan dalam cara pandang setiap warga negara dalam memaknai keberagaman dalam konteks negara-bangsa Indonesia dapat menimbulkan persoalan yang mengarah pada perpecahan bangsa. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menyampaikan hasil penelitian tentang membangun wawasan kebangsaan yang religius melalui pendidikan kewarganegaraan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah jenis penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif terhadap realitas yang ada dengan tujuan untuk mendapatkan kebenaran ilmiah yang alamiah dengan melakukan penafsiran terhadap fenomena sosial dalam bentuk telaah kepustakaan dan pengamatan dari suatu peristiwa. Penelitian ini tidak berangkat dari suatu teori karena memang tidak untuk membuktikan suatu teori, yang ingin didapatkan bukan bagaimana yang seharusnya tetapi bagaimana adanya, sesuai gambaran nyata yang ada di masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan yang berwawasan kebangsaan yang berlandaskan pada nilai Ketuhanan Yang Maha Esa ini menumbuhkan kesadaran bahwa perbedaan yang ada dalam masyarakat Indonesia merupakan anugerah dari Tuhan Yang Maha Esa yang harus disyukuri. Kesadaran warga negara bahwa negara ini dibangun atas perbedaan inilah yang kemudian dapat mewujudkan integrasi nasional.building a religious nation insight for reaching national integration through education of citizenship. Inequality in the perspective of every citizen in interpreting diversity in the context of the Indonesian nation-state can lead to problems that lead to national disunity. This article aims to convey the results of research on building a religious national outlook through civic education. The research method used is a type of qualitative research that is descriptive of existing reality intending to obtain natural-scientific truth by interpreting social phenomena in the form of literature review and observation of an event. This research does not depart from theory because it is not to prove a theory, what is wanted is not how it should be but how it is, according to the real picture in society. The results showed that Citizenship Education with a nationalist vision based on the value of the Almighty God raised the awareness that differences in Indonesian society were gifts from God Almighty to be grateful for. Citizens' awareness that this country was built on this difference can then realize national integration.

Abstract

The maturity of university students and academic people in Bandung is still not good enough. There are some university students who can't accept the political difference or deliver their political aspirations well. They sometimes deliver their political intentions by doing anarchics actions. This way will lead to the danger of our country's unity since university student is the part of our country's future. Referring to this case, it is necessary to create the university students into the persons that have adequate political maturity. The material of democracy education in citizenship education is the solutive way to ask the university students to do polite political actions. The implementation the democracy values can help the students to have political maturity.

Abstract

Deviant behavior that is contrary to religious teachings and Pancasila values as a result of recent technological and information developments often occurs both in the family and community environment. Education as an effort to humanize humans into civilized humans is again a concern. This study aims to determine the concept of internalization of Quranic Education in learning Civic Education in shaping civic civilization. This research uses the library research method, namely by collecting data through scientific articles or sources related to the research topic. The analysis of this discussion explains that Quranic Education is a value education derived from Islam that teaches about humans with noble morals. Internalization of Quranic Education in Civic Education learning can develop students' mentality and spirituality into individuals with religious character.

Abstract

The Indonesian nation is known as a pluralistic nation because it is built on the diversity of ethnicities, cultures, and religions. Plurality has the potential to give birth to social disasters in the form of horizontal conflicts in the name of religion. Therefore, it is necessary to find a learning strategy so that this can be minimized. This study aims to find out how much influence strengthening religious moderation in civic education learning can minimize the occurrence of social disasters. This research was carried out with a descriptive qualitative approach, this is to obtain a natural scientific picture of the phenomenon being studied. Data collection by conducting indirect observation through electronic media and library research methods where data is obtained from various previous research sources, articles relevant to the topic. Historical studies are also used in this study to look back at the national spirit that emerged before independence. The analysis of the discussion shows that strengthening religious moderation has a great impact on maintaining harmony in the midst of differences in beliefs among Indonesian people. The values of Pancasila, especially the precepts of God and Humanity, must be practiced in the attitude and behavior of every citizen in order to create a society that respects each other, understands each other, and lives in harmony as a nation in a country that is Baldatun Toyyibatun Warrobbun Ghafur.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the implementation of quarantine in terms of the online learning model in improving civic responsibility as a solution during the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. This study's subject was 47 students (17 males and 30 females) at the Department of Teacher and Primary Education Universitas Ahmad Dahlan, Yogyakarta, which was processing Citizenship Education in the academic year 2019/2020. The researchers collected the data from students and lecturers through observation, interviews, and documentation study. The technique of data analysis was performed through descriptive qualitative analysis. The study results indicated that the online learning model at the Department of Teacher and Primary Education Ahmad Dahlan University in 2019/2020 could improve students' civic responsibility. The data have shown that civic responsibility consisted of 97 % social participation, 76 % social advocacy, and 79 % citizenship participation. This study could finally conclude that online learning model could improve civic responsibility as a solution during the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia and tended to be an alternative and effective model in rare situations. This research can be used as input in increasing civic responsibility as a solution during a pandemic in Indonesia.
