Abstract

According the ideas of some experts, Literacy of Science and creativity in some areas are still relatively low. This study aims to determine the application of the MIKiR approach in improving Literacy of Science and student creativity, and is there a relationship between Literacy of Science and creativity.The subjects in this study were class VIII A as the experimental class and class VIII C as the control class. The instruments used were tests, questionnaires, and observations. The analysis technique used is the N-gain test, t test, scale test, and simple linear regression test.The results of the N-gain pretest-posttest test were in the medium category and with a low category for Literacy of Science and with a moderate category, and with a low category for creativity. The t-test results of the right-hand value of N-gain literas in science and creativity obtained that t (count)> t (table). The results of the science and creativity literacy questionnaire scale in the experimental class were 51.50 % and 55.30% while the control class was and 50.20%. The results of a simple linear regression test obtained the equation Y = 44.91 + 0.339 X with r (count)> r (table). In the process, learning with the MIKiR approach obtained project values ​​82.81; communication 78.83; and report 69.00. From the four analysis techniques used it can be concluded that the experimental class is better than the control class, but it needs to be given direction to students in the process of making reports.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to understand in depth the process of learning English for students in grades 1-6 at SDN Ngawis, Ngawis Village, Karangmojo District, Gunungkidul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Province. The analysis in this paper uses a qualitative approach and is carried out directly with research subjects, namely researchers interacting or talking subjectively with the community. The results of the research show that by including the roles of teachers and students, a good atmosphere is formed and has a positive impact on the student learning process which ultimately can improve maximum learning outcomes. Learning English means developing English language skills contextually and acceptable, depending on the context, conditions and situations of students' daily lives. The aim is to create a form of English language teaching that is more suited to students' linguistic needs. These findings must be combined to create educational activities that highlight aspects of using English as a communication tool that are tailored to students' needs.Tujuan dari studi ini ini adalah untuk memahami secara mendalam proses pembelajaran bahasa Inggris pada siswa kelas 1-6 di SDN Ngawis, Desa Ngawis, Kecamatan Karangmojo, Kabupaten Gunungkidul, Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Analisis dalam tulisan ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan dilakukan secara langsung dengan subjek penelitian, dimana peneliti berinteraksi atau berbicara secara subyektif dengan masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan mengikutsertakan peran guru dan siswa, terbentuk suasana yang baik dan berdampak positif pada proses belajar siswa yang pada akhirnya bisa meningkatkan hasil belajar yang maksimal. Belajar bahasa Inggris berarti mengembangkan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris secara kontekstual dan bisa diterima, tergantung pada konteks, kondisi dan situasi kehidupan sehari-hari siswa. Tujuannya adalah untuk menciptakan suatu bentuk pengajaran bahasa Inggris yang lebih sesuai dengan kebutuhan linguistik siswa.Temuan ini harus digabungkan untuk membuat kegiatan pendidikan yang menonjolkan aspek penggunaan bahasa Inggris sebagai alat komunikasi yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan siswa.

Abstract

Pangandaran is the 16th district out of 514 districts/cities in Indonesia with a high potential for disasters. In its management, there are still different views regarding disaster mitigation by stakeholders, namely the Government, Private, and Community sectors. This study aims to look at the existing conditions of disaster mitigation carried out in Pangandaran and collaborative governance in disaster mitigation management at Pangandaran Beach. This study uses a qualitative approach by determining the participants from primary stakeholders interested in tourism and natural disasters. Structural and non-structural disaster mitigation has been carried out in Pangandaran using the tsunami risk management master plan manual (BNPB 2012). There are 11 indicators that 2 indicators are still lacking, namely related to disaster evacuation orientation maps and early warning system tools which are very crucial when a disaster occurs. The result of Collaborative governance adopted by the theory of DeSeve (2007) is still not done optimally because tourism management and disaster mitigation have not been integrated and are still running from each party, namely the government, the private sector and public funds, of the 8 indicators only part of the commitment to a common purpose which began to form because they realized that the seriousness of the disaster issue that in Pangandaran can have an impact on all parties.
