Abstract

The problems studied in the study relate to the application of the Meaningful Instructional Design (MID) model and mathematical connection ability. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of the Meaningful Instructional Design (MID) model on the mathematical connection ability of class VIII Even Semester 2 Middle School 2 Warkuk Ranau South Academic Year 2018/2019. The study used quasi-experimental methods. Analysis of research data to determine the effect of treatment given using the t test with data that is normally distributed and homogeneous. Based on the results of the data analysis, the average mathematical ability of the experimental class is higher than the average value of the control class, which is 76.56> 61.88. This is supported by the results of hypothesis testing obtained by the value t = 6.49. From the distribution table t at a significant level of 5% it is known that t = = 2.00 means t> t which is 6.49> 2.00, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Meaningful Instructional Design (MID) model on the mathematical connection ability of Grade VIII students Even the 2nd Middle School 2 Warkuk South Ranau Academic Year 2018/2019.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Rotating Trio Exchange model on learning achievements of Mathematics subject of the eighth grade students of SMPN 17 Bandar Lampung in academic year 2014/2015 with the issues examined in the form of low Mathematics score of eighth grade students. This study used an experimental method which was conducting direct application usage models Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE) in the experimental class and conventional model in the control class. The population in this study is the second semester of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 17 Bandar Lampung in academic year 2014/2015 with a sample of 2 classes taken by using cluster random sampling technique. The data was measured using essay test consisted 10 questions. The research instruments used by the writer must meet the criteria of a good instrument so the authors examined the instrument that researchers prepared in 32 respondents out of sample group. Based on the the result of the research, it is obtained that the results of tcount= 2.64 at distribution level 5% ttable= 2.02. It is proven that tcount> ttable so it can be concluded that there is the influence of the Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE) model towards the Mathematics learning achievements at the second semester of eighth grade students of SMPN 17 Bandar Lampung in academic year 2014/2015.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find the influence of a method of quiz the rest of the team in the ability of the math problem solving a student of class vii the first half the even junior high school nusantara bandar lampung. This study uses experimental methods with a population of all students vii of the junior high school nusantara. bandar lampung. Were selected from consisting of two classes; viia class as a class the experiment was a total of 32 students and class viib as a class control which consisted of 32 student. Samples taken by using clusters of random sampling. The ability of problem solving students dites using tests essays about 10 about who first tested validity and reliabilitasnya.The testing of hypotheses uji-t. it uses in research. Based on the results of the data analysis using formulas t-tes obtained t-hit = 2,85, from table distribution t the first significant 5 % known t = 1,67 test criteria thit > tdaf; t-daf hypothesis Ho rejected, means Ha accepted, so it can be concluded there an effect the application of a method of the rest of the team in the ability of the quiz the solution of the problems mathematics to their students class vii the even junior high school nusantara bandar lampung in 2016/2017.

Abstract

Abstract: The research was carried out based on problems in the form of low students' mathematical problem solving abilities. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of the Make a Match type of cooperative learning model on the mathematical problem solving ability of seventh grade students of SMP. Research using quasi-experimental methods. The research population is all grade VII students of SMP Negeri 7 Bandar Lampung. Samples were taken as many as 2 classes, namely class VII.6 as an experimental class totaling 30 students, and class VII.7 as a control class totaling 29 students. The sample was taken using the Cluster Random Sampling technique with a lottery procedure. This technique is carried out, because remembering that each of the eighth grade at SMP Negeri 7 Bandar Lampung has the same average ability. The students' mathematical problem solving abilities were measured by tests in the form of a description of 5 questions. Hypothesis testing using t-test with a value of = 8,72. From the distribution table t at a significant level of 5%, it is known that means which is 8.72>2.00, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of cooperative learning models Make a Match type to the mathematical problem solving ability of VII grade students of SMP Negeri 7 Bandar Lampung.

Abstract

The problem studied in this study is the low ability to solve mathematical problems, therefore the study aims to determine the effect of the Practice Rehearsal Pairs learning strategy on the mathematical problem solving ability of students of the VIII Even Semester SMP Al-Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung in the 2018/2019 Academic Year. Research using experimental methods. The population in the study were all students of class VIII Al-Azhar 3 Middle School Bandar Lampung consisting of 7 classes with a total of 251 students, while the sample was taken 2 classes namely class VIII C as an experimental class totaling 32, and class VIII C as a control class amounting to 34. The sample was taken using the Cluster Random Sampling technique. To find out the ability to solve mathematical problems students are measured by tests. Hypothesis testing uses t-test with a value of t = 12,62. From the distribution table t at a significant level of 5%, it is known that t = = 2,00 means t > t , so it can be concluded that "There is an influence of the Practice Rehearsal Pairs learning strategy on the mathematical problem solving ability of students of class VIII Even Semester Al-Azhar 3 Middle School in Bandar Lampung 2018/2019 Academic Year".

Abstract

Abstract: The research aims to (1) produce LKPD products using the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics (PMRI) approach to grade VII (2) improving the math learning outcomes of grade VII students using LKPD with the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Approach (PMRI). This type of research is development research. The stages in the research are analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Product validation is carried out by 6 expert lecturers in accordance with the field Then LKPD is given a practical questionnaire to be responded to by students of grade VII SMP Advent Bandar Lampung in LKPD product trials. The material expert validation results in the aspect of material suitability with KD, material accuracy, image accuracy, material order, and aspects of PMRI characteristics all obtained a value of 4 with valid criteria. Validation of media experts in both the aspect of the cover design and the content design obtained a value of 3 with fairly valid criteria. Validation of language experts on aspects of sentence structure accuracy, understanding of messages and information obtains a value of 4 with valid criteria. After using LKPD that has been developed students experienced improved math learning results from 13% to 76%. Thus the Triangular and Rectangular LKPD with PMRI approach to class VII deserves to be used as a teaching material.

Abstract

Abstract: The ability to solve mathematical problems as one of the important skillsfor students who is also the goal of learning mathematics in the 2013 curriculum.The importance of problem solving skills is the basis for research objectives toanalyze the effectiveness of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approachto the mathematical problem solving abilities of eighth grade students of SMPNegeri 23 Bandar Lampung, with research problems in the form of lowmathematical problem solving abilities of students. This study uses anexperimental method with a population of all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri23 Bandar Lampung which consists of 9 classes with a total of 287 students, whilethe sample is taken 2 classes, namely as an experimental class that applies theRME approach and as a control class that applies the conventional approach. Thesample was taken using the cluster random sampling technique. Measurement ofresearch variables using a test in the form of an essay as many as 5 questions thathave been tested for validity and reliability and declared as a good measuringtool. Hypothesis testing using parametric statistics in the form of t-test. The resultsof hypothesis testing show the value of t hit = 4.33 and at a significant level of 5%it is known that t daf = ????(1−????)= 1,67 means t hit > t daf so it can be concluded thatthe RME approach is effective in influencing students' mathematical problemsolving abilities class VIII SMP Negeri 23 Bandar Lampung. This situation is alsoseen from the average value of students' mathematical problem solving abilitieswhere the experimental class has a higher average value of 77 and the controlclass has an average value of 61.

Abstract

Society 5.0 requires the ability to think critically to deal with various changes. The ability to think critically in an era that emphasizes the role of humans as the center of civilization through the use of digital technology is not in line with the fact that the ability to think critically in class VIII odd semester students at SMP Negeri 26 Bandar Lampung in the 2022/2023 academic year. The ability to think critically mathematically in class VIII students is still a problem, for this reason this study aims to determine the effect of implementing the Open Ended approach on students' critical thinking ability in mathematics. This quasi-experimental study, with a population of all VIII grade students, totaling 227 students, while the samples were VIII E class as the experimental class and VIII G class as the control class. Samples were taken using the Cluster Random Sampling technique and to determine students' mathematical critical thinking skills were given a test in the form of a description of 5 questions which had previously been tested for validity and reliability. From the results of testing the hypothesis using the t test, the value of thitung = 3.35 is obtained. From the t distribution table at a significant level of 5% it is known that tdaftar = t(1-α) = 1.67. Thus thitung > tdaftar, so it can be concluded that the implementation of the Open Ended approach can affect the mathematical critical thinking skills of Grade VIII students in odd semesters at SMP Negeri 26 Bandar Lampung in the 2022/2023 academic year.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of the use of AI assisted PBL on enhancing elementary school students' mathematical problem-solving skills. Inspired by the persisting issues in developing skills of elementary school students in Indonesian, this study investigated whether AI-supported PBL might be more a promising method of instruction than traditional teaching method. Quasi-experimental with non-equivalent control group design was applied with 5th graders (N = 60). The experimental group was taught using AI-assisted PBL, and the control group was taught by traditional method. An established test based on Polya's heuristic devised was used to collect data. Descriptive statistics, independent samples t-test, and N-Gain analysis were used to analyze the data. The results showed a significant difference (p < 0.05) in the two groups with respect to all indicators (comprehending the problem, formulating a plan, executing the plan and evaluating the solution); for the experimental group (M = 78.40; SD = 7.20) exceeded the control groups (M = 68.10; SD = 8.50). In addition, the treatment group exhibited a high N-Gain score (M= 0.78). The findings suggest that using AI-assisted PBL is an effective way to promote elementary students’ mathematical problem-solving ability, which indicates the role of integrating modern technology with creative pedagogical pattern in math teaching.
