Abstract

This study aims to improve the problem-solving abilities of students of class VIII at SMP Negeri 10 Bandar Lampung, in learning mathematics using the Reciprocal Teaching learning model. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). This action is carried out in 2 cycles where each cycle consists of 4 meetings. At each cycle, students are given a final cycle test to measure their problem solving abilities. Data analysis techniques in this research are descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis. The results showed that learning mathematics using the Reciprocal Teaching learning model can improve problem solving skills. This is indicated by an increase in the average value of the first cycle test of 57.40, while the second cycle test of 73.80. The average percentage of problem solving aspects in cycles I and II are as follows: (a) the ability to understand the problem increases from 50% to 75%, (b) the ability to plan problem solving increases from 62% to 77%, (c) the ability to carry out the plan increased from 59% to 70%, and (d) the ability to interpret the results obtained increased from 61% to 73%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the reciprocal teaching approach on student mathematics learning outcomes. This research uses an experimental method with two variables. The population in this study were all eighth grade students of SMP 4 Liwa West Lampung which consisted of 5 classes with a total of 122 students. Samples were taken 2 classes, namely class C as the experimental class which amounted to 22 and class VIII D as the control class consisting of 22 students. Sampling using Cluster Random Sampling technique. The research instrument used an essay test of 10 items which were first tested for validity and reliability. Simple statistical data analysis using the formula ttes. The results showed that thit = 2.60 from the distribution table at the level of 5% is known tdaf = 2.02. Proven thit> tafaf. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the reciprocal teaching approach on the mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII Even Semester 4 SMPN 4 Liwa West Lampung Academic Year 2016/2017.

Abstract

The problem studied in this study is the low ability to solve mathematical problems, therefore the study aims to determine the effect of the Practice Rehearsal Pairs learning strategy on the mathematical problem solving ability of students of the VIII Even Semester SMP Al-Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung in the 2018/2019 Academic Year. Research using experimental methods. The population in the study were all students of class VIII Al-Azhar 3 Middle School Bandar Lampung consisting of 7 classes with a total of 251 students, while the sample was taken 2 classes namely class VIII C as an experimental class totaling 32, and class VIII C as a control class amounting to 34. The sample was taken using the Cluster Random Sampling technique. To find out the ability to solve mathematical problems students are measured by tests. Hypothesis testing uses t-test with a value of t = 12,62. From the distribution table t at a significant level of 5%, it is known that t = = 2,00 means t > t , so it can be concluded that "There is an influence of the Practice Rehearsal Pairs learning strategy on the mathematical problem solving ability of students of class VIII Even Semester Al-Azhar 3 Middle School in Bandar Lampung 2018/2019 Academic Year".

Abstract

The problem of this research is low student learning outcomes in class economic subjects XI IPS 1 SMA Al Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung that is only 6 students (20,69%) of 29 who were able to reach KKM. Where the KKM value SMA Al Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung is 78. The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes on economic subjects using STAD (student team achievement division) type cooperative learning. The method used is classroom action research (PTK) carried out with 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of 4 stages namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection used is test, observation, interview, and documentation. The results of this study indicate an increase in activity and student learning outcomes, namely for student learning activities cycle 1 in large 6,55% and in cycle 2 to 9,83%. Then for student learning outcomes in the first cycle the highest score 85 and lowest score 45 with an achieved completeness by 48,28% of all student. In the second cycle the highest score 95 and lowest score 65 with an achieved completeness by 82,76% of all student. Increase in completeness of learning outcomes in cycle 1 to cycle 2 by 34,48%

Abstract

Abstract: The problems studied in this study are related to the low ability of students to think critically in mathematics. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) learning model on the mathematical critical thinking skills of eighth graders in the Even Semester of SMP Al-Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung in the 2017/2018 academic year. This study uses experimental methods, as well as data analysis using statistical formulas. The population in this study were all students of class VIII SMP Al-Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung which consisted of 7 classes with a total of 254 students, while the sample was taken 2 classes, namely class VIII B as the experimental class which amounted to 35 students, and class VIII A as the control class. totaling 35 students. The sample was taken using the Cluster Random Sampling technique. To determine the students' critical thinking skills in mathematics, the writer conducted a test in the form of an essay as many as 5 questions. Hypothesis testing using t-test. From the results of hypothesis testing using the t-hit statistical formula, the thit value = 15.24. From the t distribution table at a significant level of 5%, it is known that tdaf = 2.00, which means that t > tdaf is 15.24 > 2.00, so it can be concluded that "There is an influence on the application of the learning model CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Extending, Reflecting) on the mathematical critical thinking skills of grade VIII students in the even semester of Al-Azhar 3 Junior High School Bandar Lampung in the 2017/2018 academic year”. This situation can also be seen from the average value of students' mathematical critical thinking skills where the experimental class has an average value of 78 and the control class has an average value of 52.9.

Abstract

Abstract: The ability to solve mathematical problems as one of the important skillsfor students who is also the goal of learning mathematics in the 2013 curriculum.The importance of problem solving skills is the basis for research objectives toanalyze the effectiveness of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approachto the mathematical problem solving abilities of eighth grade students of SMPNegeri 23 Bandar Lampung, with research problems in the form of lowmathematical problem solving abilities of students. This study uses anexperimental method with a population of all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri23 Bandar Lampung which consists of 9 classes with a total of 287 students, whilethe sample is taken 2 classes, namely as an experimental class that applies theRME approach and as a control class that applies the conventional approach. Thesample was taken using the cluster random sampling technique. Measurement ofresearch variables using a test in the form of an essay as many as 5 questions thathave been tested for validity and reliability and declared as a good measuringtool. Hypothesis testing using parametric statistics in the form of t-test. The resultsof hypothesis testing show the value of t hit = 4.33 and at a significant level of 5%it is known that t daf = ????(1−????)= 1,67 means t hit > t daf so it can be concluded thatthe RME approach is effective in influencing students' mathematical problemsolving abilities class VIII SMP Negeri 23 Bandar Lampung. This situation is alsoseen from the average value of students' mathematical problem solving abilitieswhere the experimental class has a higher average value of 77 and the controlclass has an average value of 61.

Abstract

The research aims to find out (1) To find out the quality of the 5E Learning Cycle-based mathematics module in terms of the validity of teaching materials. (2) To find out the quality of Learning Cycle 5E-based math modules in terms of the practicality of teaching materials. (3) To determine the effectiveness of the Learning Cycle 5E-based mathematics module in terms of students' mathematical problem solving abilities. This research is a development research using the ADDIE development model. Product validation is carried out by 6 expert lecturers in accordance with their fields. Practicality questionnaire to measure the response of class XI students at SMK Negeri 7 Bandar Lampung in product trials and learning achievement tests to measure the effectiveness of the module as teaching material. Material experts on the aspect of content quality obtain an average score of 3.66 on the aspect of determination of coverage get an average score of 3.75 on the Learning Cycle 5E aspect opinion average value of 3.8 with valid criteria. Media experts in the aspect of paper size in the module obtain an average value of 3.75, in the aspect of module skin design (cover) get an average value of 3.83, in the aspect of module content design get an average value of 3.87 with valid criteria .Linguists in the aspect of sentence structure determination, understanding of messages and straightforwardness get an average score of 4 with valid criteria. The mathematics module based on Learning Cycle 5E in Mathematical Logic material is effective in terms of student learning outcomes in Mathematical Logic material which shows 17 students or 56.67% individually completed out of 30 students with an average of 74.38. Thus the Learning Cycle 5E-based learning module is effective as a teaching material for learning mathematics.

Abstract

The problems contained in this study are motivated by 1) low learning outcomes, 2) economic learning that has been implemented so far has not used teaching materials in the form of LKPD, 3) the learning process pays little attention to the condition of students in terms of abilities, talents, interests and needs, so that student learning outcomes are still low. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of validity, level of attractiveness, convenience and usefulness as well as the level of effectiveness of the development of inquiry-based worksheets to improve economic learning outcomes in KD. describes the international trade of class XI IPS 1 students of SMA Negeri 2 Padang Cermin. This research is a type of research and development, this research is used to produce certain products and test the effectiveness of these products. The resulting product is an inquiry-based LKPD in economics subjects to determine product validation, attractiveness, convenience and usefulness as well as the effectiveness of LKPD which will be developed in improving learning outcomes. The stages of the research carried out refer to the ADDIE development model which includes Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The results showed that the level of effectiveness of students' learning outcomes from this LKPD was also very good because it had a completeness percentage of 90.90% so that it showed very good student learning outcomes. Abstract

Mathematical problem solving ability is an important ability for students to have after learning mathematics, which is also one of the learning objectives. Learning in the Covid-19 pandemic situation also requires creativity for learning actors in equipping students with these abilities. This condition is the basis for research with the aim of analyzing the effect of the Problem Solving method on online learning on the mathematical problem solving abilities of eighth grade students of SMPIT Daarul 'Ilmi Bandar Lampung, with problems in the form of low mathematical problem solving abilities. This research method is a quasi-experimental method. Hypothesis testing using parametric statistics (t-test). The research was carried out in the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year with a population of all eighth grade students of SMPIT Daarul 'Ilmi Bandar Lampung. The sample was taken from 2 classes, namely class VIII F as the experimental class, totaling 28, and class VIII H as the control class, totaling 28. The sample was taken using the Cluster Random Sampling technique. Students' mathematical problem solving ability is measured by a test in the form of a description of 5 questions that have been tested for validity and reliability. The results of hypothesis testing show it can be concluded that there is an effect of the Problem Solving method on online learning on students' mathematical problem solving abilities. class VIII SMPIT Daarul 'Ilmi Bandar Lampung.
