Abstract

One of the method that can be used for science learning in elementary schools is educational game. Through games we can create ideal conditions for learning and improve the quality of learning. This service activity uses Cartesian games as a learning medium. This activity was carried out at Madrasah Al-Falah, Gorontalo district. The results of the service activities show that the use of the Cartesian game method is very effective in increasing children's basic science knowledge and they can have an enjoyable learning experience.Keywords: Game Methode; Cartesius ; Sains.

Abstract

The Population-Oriented Development Index (IPBK) is an important indicator for measuring regional development success, focusing on human resource quality. This study aims to project the IPBK for 2024–2026 and identify the best method for projecting the IPBK in Gorontalo Regency. The projection methods used are single and double exponential smoothing. The IPBK data for Gorontalo Regency was obtained from the 2024 BKKBN Central Publication. The variables include participation (X1), sustainability (X2), inclusiveness (X3), holistic integration (X4), equality (X5), and IPBK (X6). The data was analyzed using Minitab 16 software. The results indicate that the double exponential smoothing method outperforms the single exponential smoothing method for projecting the IPBK and its dimensions in Gorontalo Regency, achieving a MAPE value of less than 10\%. The IPBK projections and its dimensions for 2024–2026 using the double exponential smoothing method show an annual upward trend, predicting that by 2025–2026, Gorontalo Regency's IPBK status will rise from category 3 (upper-middle status) to category 4 (high status). This high status indicates that Gorontalo Regency has achieved significant progress in key indicators reflecting the welfare and quality of life of its residents.

Abstract

Research on complications of Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is multifactorial, where the risk factors causing DM complications are interrelated, leading to confounding bias, which results in inaccurate research findings. Confounding bias can be reduced using the propensity score method. This study aims to compare the performance of the Propensity Score Stratification (PSS) and Propensity Score Matching (PSM) methods with the Multivariate Adaptive Regression Spline (MARS) approach in estimating treatment effects on DM complication cases. The data used is the medical records of type-2 DM patients at Hospital X. The results showed that the PSS method with the MARS approach is not suitable for small data sets, as it can lead to treatment or control groups lacking members, making it impossible to calculate the p-value in balance testing or the Percent Bias Reduction (PBR). The estimated Average Treatment Effect (ATE) using the PSS method was 0.487 with a PBR of 35.1%, whereas the estimated Average Treatment for Treated (ATT) using the PSM method was 0.531 with a PBR of 99.46%. These PBR values indicate that the best method for estimating treatment effects and the one that can reduce the most bias in this case is the PSM method with MARS. The analysis also showed that serum uric acid levels significantly affect the peripheral diabetic neuropathy (PDN) status of DM patients.

Abstract

Cooking oil is one of the primary raw materials used in Indonesia. In this study, a comparison of the two forecasting models from the two methods, namely Neural Network and Grey System, was carried out. Forecasting is carried out on cooking oil raw materials, namely CPO production volume and demand for related products, namely biodiesel, to analyze changes in cooking oil prices. The appropriate forecasting model is expected to be able to describe the pattern of cooking oil price fluctuations for the following few periods. The criteria for selecting the best model use the minimum MAPE testing value. The results show that the Grey System method produces the best forecasting model for biodiesel demand data with a small amount of data, while for the CPO variable, which has a larger amount of data, the best model is obtained using the Neural Network model, with the MLP (3-3-1) architecture.

Abstract

Bone Bolango is one of the districts that has experienced many village and sub-district expansion processes. This expansion process changes the village's potential data. Village potential is the carrying capacity for developing villages in order to improve community welfare. In order to accelerate village development, it is necessary to group villages according to their characteristics so that development is more focused and on target. The aim of this research is to group villages based on indicators of village potential so that groups of villages that have the same characteristics can be obtained, as well as to find out the best method for grouping villages in Bone Bolango Regency. The research results show that the optimum cluster for grouping villages in Bone Bolango Regency based on village potential indicators is the cluster using the ward method because it provides the smallest Xie-Beni index value compared to the fuzzy c-means method. The optimum number of clusters is three clusters. Cluster 1 has high average characteristics consisting of 57 villages, cluster 2 has low average characteristics (except livestock production) consisting of 94 villages and cluster 3 has characteristics of large area and high food production consisting of 9 villages.

Abstract

The spatial weighting matrix is very important to overview of the relationship between one location to another in the spatial regression. In this study, the authors compare the weighting matrix of queen contiguity and rook contiguity in the SAR and SEM models in stunting cases in Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo Province. The variables used are the number of IDL, the percentage of LBW, the amount of proper sanitation, the percentage of exclusively breastfed babies, and the number of poor people. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence stunting in Bone Bolango Regency, compare the results of the analysis of the rook contiguity and queen contiguity matrices in the SAR and SEM models and determine the best model and weighting matrix in stunting modeling in Bone Bolango Regency. The results showed that the significant factor in the SAR model was the number of poor people, while the significant factors in the SEM model were the number of IDL, the number of proper sanitation, and the percentage of exclusively breastfed babies. In the SEM model, the p-value of queen contiguity is smaller than that of rook contiguity.The best model in this study is the SEM model.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to improve the science learning outcomes of fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 4 Limboto through the application of learning with the group investigation method on the material of light and its properties. This study uses the type of Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a group investigation method approach. The data collection techniques used in this study are observation, documentation, and tests (evaluation). Then the collected data will be analyzed based on the achievement of classical learning completeness with an average completeness achievement of 85%. The results of the study indicate that the application of learning with the Group Investigation method can improve the science learning outcomes of fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 4 Limboto on the material of light and its properties. The average value of student learning outcomes experienced a significant increase, namely from the pre-cycle of 54.52 with a completeness of 23.81%, increasing in the first cycle to 79.28 with a completeness of 71.43%, and in the second cycle reaching 88.57 with a completeness of 90.48%. In addition to improving cognitive aspects, this method also has a positive impact on students' affective and social aspects, such as active participation in discussions, courage to express opinions, ability to work together, and a sense of responsibility. Therefore, learning using the Group Investigation method can be used as an effective alternative learning strategy to improve the quality of learning outcomes while developing students' social skills.Keywords: Group Investigation, Learning Outcomes, Science AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SD Negeri 4 Limboto melalui penerapan pembelajaran dengan metode group investigation pada materi cahaya dan sifat-sifatnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan pendekatan metode group investigation. Adapun teknink pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah observasi, dokumentasi, dan tes (evaluasi). Kemudian data yang telah dikumpulkan akan dianalisis berdasarkan capaian ketuntasan belajar klasikal dengan capaian ketuntasan rata-rata 85%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran dengan metode Group Investigation dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SD Negeri 4 Limboto pada materi cahaya dan sifat-sifatnya. Nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan signifikan, yaitu dari pra siklus sebesar 54,52 dengan ketuntasan 23,81%, naik pada siklus I menjadi 79,28 dengan ketuntasan 71,43%, dan pada siklus II mencapai 88,57 dengan ketuntasan 90,48%. Selain peningkatan aspek kognitif, metode ini juga berdampak positif terhadap aspek afektif dan sosial siswa, seperti keaktifan dalam diskusi, keberanian mengemukakan pendapat, kemampuan bekerja sama, serta rasa tanggung jawab. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran dengan metode Group Investigation dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif strategi pembelajaran yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas hasil belajar sekaligus membangun keterampilan sosial siswa.Kata Kunci: Group Investigation, Hasil Belajar, IPA

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of the use of multisensory methods assisted by digital flash card media on the ability to write descriptive essays of fifth-grade students of SD 7 Limboto. The type of research used is quantitative with the One Group Pre-test Post-test Design experimental method. The population in this study were all fifth-grade students of SDN 7 Limboto, totaling 10 people. The results showed that the ability to write descriptive essays of fifth-grade students of SDN 7 Limboto in the initial test (Pretest) was below the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) of Indonesian Language, namely 75, with an average score of 57.80. This shows that students' initial ability in writing descriptive essays is still classified as low to moderate. After the application of the multisensory method assisted by digital flash card media, the final test score (Posttest) showed a significant increase with an average of 75.40, where 70% of students reached or exceeded the KKM. This increase was accompanied by a more even distribution of scores, which reflects improvements in students' writing skills. Based on the results of the Paired Sample t-Test, the value obtained | thitung | = | -2.850| = 2.850 ttable value = 2.262 and p 0.001 ( 0.05), so H₀ is rejected and H₁ is accepted. This proves that the multisensory method assisted by digital flash card media has a significant effect on improving the ability to write descriptive essays for fifth grade students of SDN 7 Limboto.Keywords: Multisensory Method, Assisted by Digital Flash Card Media, Descriptive Essay.Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan metode multisensorik barbantuan media flash card digital terhadap kemampuan menulis karangan deskripsi siswa kelas V SD 7 Limboto. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen OneGroupPre-testPost-test Design. Populasipadapenelitianiniadalahseluruhsiswa kelas V SDN 7 Limboto yang berjumlah 10 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan menulis materi karangan deskripsi siswa kelas V SDN 7 Limboto pada tes awal (Pretest) berada di bawah Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) Bahasa Indonesia yaitu 75, dengan rata-rata nilai sebesar 57,80. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan awal siswa dalam menulis karangan deskripsi masih tergolong rendah hingga sedang. Setelah diterapkan metode multisensorik berbantuan media flash card digital, nilai tes akhir (Posttest) menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dengan rata-rata sebesar 75,40, dimana 70% siswa mencapai atau melampaui KKM. Peningkatan ini disertai dengan sebaran nilai yang lebih merata, yang mencerminkan perbaikan keterampilan menulis siswa. Berdasarkan hasil uji Paired Sample t-Test, diperoleh nilai | thitung | = | -2,850| = 2,850  nilai ttabel = 2,262 dan p 0,001 ( 0,05), sehingga H₀ ditolak dan H₁ diterima. Abstract

The aim of this study is to enhance students' critical thinking skills using the Problem Based Learning model in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) at SD Negeri 9 Limboto. Classroom Action Research is the method used in this study, whicth consistss of how ciycles, including planing, impllementation, observattion, andreflection. Thisis study was conducted during the 2024/2025 academic year, with 24 fifth-grade students as subjects. The research found that the use of the Problem Based Learning model can significantly stimulate students' critical thinking skills. In the first cycle, 58% of students met the Minimum Completion Criteria with an average score of 70.31%, while in the second cycle, 96% of students exceeded the KKM standard with an average score of 84.35%. This improvement demonstrates the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning model in enhancing students' critical thinking skills to analyze, synthesize, and evaluate information, as well as fostering enthusiasm among students towards learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar matematika siswa diajar menggunakan media kawotan dan tanpa menggunakan media kawotan, dan mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar matematika siswa diajar menggunakan media dan diajar tanpa menggunakan media siswa kelas II SD Negeri 1 Kopandakan Kota Kotamobagu. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan desain Nonequivalent (Pretest and Posttest) Control Group Design. Penetapan populasi dan sampel diambil dari kelas eksperimen jumlah siswa 19 dan untuk kelas kontrol jumlah siswa 18 dimana jumlah populasi hanya 37 orang (kurang dari 100) maka anggota populasi menjadi anggota sampel atau penelitian ini disebut dengan penelitian populasi. Dalam mengumpulkan data, penulis menggunakan angket penggunaan media kawotan dengan 25 item dan tes soal pilihan ganda yang berjumlah 15 nomor. Hasil belajar matematika kepada siswa yang diajar menggunakan media kawotan pada kelas eksperimen mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 85,31 sedangkan siswa yang tanpa diajar menggunakan media kawotan pada kelas kontrol mendapatkan nilai rata–rata 79.33. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media kawotan dikelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibanding siswa yang belajar tanpa diajar menggunakan media kawotan. Perbedaan terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diajar menggunakan media kawotan dan tanpa diajar menggunakan media kawotan. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan pengujian hipotesis uji – t independent sampel dengan data akhir yang diperoleh dari hasil Pretest dan Postest kelas ekspreimen dan kelas kontrol nilai uji t-test, kelas eksperimen Mean = 85,63, Variance = 50,80, Observations = 19, untuk kelas kontrol Mean= 77,78, Variance = 123,71, Observations = 18. Pooled Variance= 862152, Hypothesized = 0, df = 35, t Stat = 2.571, ? one – tail = 0.007, t Critical one tail = 1.689, p two tail = 0,01, t Critical two tail = 2.030. Sehingga bisa ditarik kesimpulan bahwa thitung > ttabel, maka H0 ditolak dan terima H1
