Abstract

One of the method that can be used for science learning in elementary schools is educational game. Through games we can create ideal conditions for learning and improve the quality of learning. This service activity uses Cartesian games as a learning medium. This activity was carried out at Madrasah Al-Falah, Gorontalo district. The results of the service activities show that the use of the Cartesian game method is very effective in increasing children's basic science knowledge and they can have an enjoyable learning experience.Keywords: Game Methode; Cartesius ; Sains.

Abstract

Introduction: Analysed the survival rates of patients and factors associated with pulmonary tuberculosis at the Limboto Public Health Center, with particular attention to the role of hypertension as a predictor of treatment failure and its potential integration into TB treatment guidelines. Methods: The study represents retrospective cohort research conducted by collecting medical records of individual pulmonary tuberculosis patients at the Limboto Public Health Center. The research sample comprised 144 patients and was analysed using survival analysis methods, including the Kaplan-Meier and Cox Regression models. Result: Among a cohort of 144 pulmonary tuberculosis cases, 21 individuals (14.6%) encountered treatment failure, resulting in three fatalities. A Kaplan-Meier survival analysis unveiled marked disparities in the survival probabilities of pulmonary tuberculosis patients contingent on their hypertension status (p=0.000). In the Cox Regression analysis, the hazard ratio associated with hypertension in the context of treatment failure in pulmonary tuberculosis patients was determined to be HR= 10.216. These findings suggest the necessity of incorporating hypertension screening and management into existing TB care protocols. Conclusion: Evidence-based interventions should be implemented, particularly among patients with concomitant hypertension. Strengthening the integration of hypertension management into TB treatment guidelines may improve patient outcomes and reduce treatment failures.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Project-Based Flex Blended Learning (PjBFBL) model in improving students' critical thinking skills on Ohm's Law material in science courses. The quasi-experimental method uses a Nonequivalent Control Group Design with 41 fourth semester students divided into experimental (PjBFBL) and control (conventional) groups. Instruments include critical thinking tests based on seven indicators (interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference, explanation, self-regulation, essential questions), analyzed using N-Gain, T-test, and effect size. Results showed the experimental group achieved a moderate N-Gain improvement (0.63) with the highest categories in inference (0.78; high) and explanation (0.73; high), while the control group only had a low N-Gain (0.28). The independent T-test confirmed the significant difference (t (25,092) = 7.230; p<0.05) with an average difference of 35.78% and a large effect size (Cohen's d=2.299). The research conclusion indicates that the PjBFBL model effectively improves critical thinking skills, particularly in multidimensional reasoning and information synthesis, through the integration of authentic projects, hybrid flexibility, and structured collaboration. The findings recommend the adoption of this model in science learning to bridge the 21st century competency gap, noting the need to strengthen the interpretation aspect through more contextualized instruments

Abstract

Pelaksanaan imunisasi lanjutan pada anak usia sekolah dilakukan melalui kegiatan Bulan Imunisasi Anak Sekolah (BIAS) dengan sasaran anak usia sekolah dasar (SD). Jenis imunisasi yang diberikan pada pelaksanaan BIAS, yaitu Campak Rubela, Tetanus dan Difteri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat cakupan imunisasi anak sekolah dasar di Provinsi Gorontalo. Penelitian  ini  menggunakan metode observasional dengan pendekatan rancangan penyajian data secara deskriptif menggunakan time series. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder dari  Profil Kesehatan Indonesia dari tahun 2019-2021. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif  dengan  menyajikan  gambaran   cakupan imunisasi Campak Rubella, Difteri dan Tetanus yang diberikan pada anak sekolah dasar kelas 1 dan kelas 2 SD di Provinsi Gorontalo. Hasil distribusi cakupan imunisasi berdasarkan Profil Kesehatan Indonesia Tahun 2019-2021, menunjukkan angka penurunan imunisasi Campak Rubela, DT dan Td yang cukup signifikan pada siswa kelas 1 dan kelas 2 Sekolah Dasar di Provinsi Gorontalo. Untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat  tentang  pentingnya  imunisasi,  terutama  imunisasi  campak  dan  rubella pada anak usia sekolah dasar, dilakukan edukasi kepada orang tua atau wali murid anak mengenai manfaat imunisasi pada anak usia sekolah dasar
