Abstract

Digitalization of UMKM is the key to increasing the competitiveness of UMKM in the current technological era. This research aims to create priorities for UMKM digitalization training participants in Pematang Dolok Kahean Village. Determining basic priorities for training participants is carried out using the Decision Support System (DSS) with the Additive Ratio Assessment (ARAS) Method. The criteria used are Business Relevance, UMKM Digital Knowledge and Skills, Potential for Increased Income, Implementation Costs, and Implementation Time. The weight of each criterion is determined based on preference and relative importance. The research results show that alternative A5 is in first position with a result of 0.972, A7 is in second position with a result of 0.921, and A4 is in third position with a result of 0.872. The results of designing a Decision Support System (DSS) to determine priorities for digitalization training for UMKM can help make it easier for the Head of Pematang Dolok Kahean Village to determine priorities for digitalization training for UMKM.

Abstract

This study aims to optimize the maintenance of King Grass plants by utilizing Internet of Things (IoT) technology for real-time monitoring. King Grass is known as a source of livestock feed with high productivity, but its maintenance often faces challenges such as environmental fluctuations and inefficient irrigation patterns. This study uses an ESP32 microcontroller integrated with a DHT22 sensor, soil moisture sensor, and automatic water pump, and utilizes the Thingsboard platform to monitor data in real time. The data collected includes air temperature, air humidity, and soil moisture, which are displayed through interactive widgets. The system was tested by simulating various environmental conditions, showing success in automating irrigation based on soil moisture thresholds. The test results show that IoT technology is able to improve plant maintenance efficiency, reduce manual intervention, and ensure optimal conditions for plant growth. The use of the Thingsboard platform facilitates data monitoring and analysis for further planning. This study concludes that the application of IoT to King Grass maintenance provides an effective solution in increasing agricultural productivity through accurate and efficient monitoring and control.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an integrated sales technology model based on a mobile application that can improve the competitiveness of MSME products in Pematang Dolok Kahean Village in the global market. Pematang Dolok Kahean Village has the potential for superior products, such as snacks and handicrafts, but is still limited in terms of market access and utilization of marketing technology. Traditional marketing, such as through local markets and exhibitions, cannot reach a wider market, both nationally and internationally. The stages of this research begin with identifying the needs of MSMEs in the village, followed by designing an application model that is in accordance with the characteristics of the product and the target market. Furthermore, a prototype of a mobile application was developed that integrates easy and secure product management, ordering, and payment features. Using this technology model can increase efficiency in product management and transactions, while also making it easier for consumers to buy MSME products from outside the region. The implementation of this technology model can provide practical solutions that support increasing market access, expanding distribution networks, and encouraging local economic growth through more competitive sales of MSME products.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to find a solution to the issue of choosing the best student internship for the BPKD office in Pematangsiantar city. This office chooses the best interns candidates in order to hire candidates who are competent, skilled, able to improve their adaptability and perception in improving their performance and carrying out the tasks assigned. A Decision Support System (DSS) powered by computers is used to carry out this selection. The SAW approach is applied by the decision support system. Responsibility, Delay, Attitudes/Ethics, Presence, and Cooperation are the criteria employed in this strategy. The results of the study include recommendations for the top interns, with Mona Rachel Sitohang coming in at number one with an alternative value of 0.7500, followed by Irviana Soneta Manalu at number two with a value of 0.7042, and Elsa Paulina Simanjuntak at number three with a value of 0.6042. This office may find it simpler to choose the top students internship candidates with the use of this decision assistance system.

Abstract

Dalam konteks industri modern, karyawan tidak hanya dituntut untuk memiliki kompetensi hardskill yang kuat, tetapi juga harus menguasai softskill yang esensial. PTPN IV, yang bergerak di bidang produksi CPO, mengakui pentingnya keseimbangan antara kedua jenis keterampilan ini. Meskipun pelatihan yang ada sebelumnya lebih berfokus pada peningkatan hardskill, terdapat kebutuhan mendesak untuk mengembangkan program pelatihan yang juga menekankan pada pengembangan softskill, khususnya bagi operator pesawat uap kelas I jenis boiler. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi softskill para operator tersebut dalam menjalankan tugas mereka. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Balai Besar Guru Penggerak, Kota Medan, Sumatera Utara, dan diikuti oleh 14 operator pesawat uap kelas I jenis Boiler. Metodologi yang diterapkan mencakup tiga tahap utama: pra pelatihan, pelaksanaan pelatihan, dan pasca pelatihan. Tahap pra pelatihan melibatkan survei lokasi, sementara pelaksanaan pelatihan mencakup pretes dan pelatihan softskill. Tahap pasca pelatihan melibatkan postes dan sesi refleksi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam keterampilan softskill operator, terutama dalam aspek komunikasi, kreativitas, kepemimpinan, dan pemecahan masalah, dengan peningkatan skor sebesar 50%. Kesimpulannya, bimbingan teknis ini berhasil menghasilkan operator yang memiliki kompetensi softskill yang baik, yang pada gilirannya memberikan manfaat signifikan bagi perusahaan tempat mereka bekerja.

Abstract

Selecting the right Cook’s Assistant is a critical factor in ensuring smooth restaurant operations, including at Lucky Seafood Restaurant in Pematang Siantar. The existing recruitment process often lacks objectivity and consistency, highlighting the need for a technology-based solution to improve decision-making accuracy and efficiency. This study aims to develop a Decision Support System (DSS) using the Additive Ratio Assessment (ARAS) method to assist management in selecting the most suitable candidate. The system evaluates five criteria: work experience, communication skills, and work attitude (benefit criteria), along with adaptation time and error rate (cost criteria). The ARAS method involves normalization, weighting, and the calculation of utility and utility degree values. The results indicate that among eight candidates, AC_06 ranks highest with a utility score of 1.51518, followed by AC_04 and AC_08. The implementation of this system has proven effective in reducing subjectivity, expediting the selection process, and increasing the accuracy of identifying the best candidate aligned with the restaurant’s operational needs.
