Abstract

Background: Bangkalan district has the highest incidence of stunting in East Java. Various efforts have been made to accelerate the reduction of stunting, but maximum results have not been achieved. This study aimed to determine the impact of family empowerment based on Madura sociocultural structures on the ability to prevent stunting. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional design with a population of families with school-aged children in PAUD, Regency area of Bangkalan, with a sample of 280 individuals drawn by stratified random sampling. Data analysis was performed using SEM. Results: The results showed that the Madurese family culture and social structure were built on religious, kinship, and economic interest indicators. Family empowerment, with aspects of family structural strength, family functioning, and family values, influences the family's ability to prevent growth retardation. Family empowerment in stunting prevention is strongly influenced by the culture and social structure of the Madura family. Indicators of stunting prevention skills include the ability to meet family nutrition, fertility management, growth and development monitoring, personal and environmental hygiene patterns, and family capacity to modify the environment. The more power a family has, the more impact it has on their ability to prevent stunting. Conclusion: Stunting based on Madhura culture can be achieved through the integrative implementation of stunting. Local government organizations involve informal community figures

Abstract

Background: Stunting is a persistent malnutrition issue caused by prolonged inadequate nutritional intake. The results of the preliminary study that was conducted found low stunting prevention behavior in infants aged 0-6 months in Jaddih Village. The objective of the research was to evaluate the efficiency of the Emo-Demo method in improve knowledge and skills in stunting prevention behavior. Methods: The research design was quasi-experimental. The independent variables was health education with the Emo-Demo method, and the dependent variables were knowledge, skills, and behavior. This study used questionnaires and statistical tests including the Wilcoxon test, paired sample t-test, independent t-test, Spearman Rank, and linear regression. Results: The Wilcoxon test obtained p=0.000<0.05, indicating a difference in knowledge before and after the Emo-Demo intervention. The paired sample t-test obtained p=0.000<0.05, indicating a difference in knowledge before and after the lecture intervention. A p-value of 0.000<0.05 was found, indicating a difference in skills before and after the Emo-Demo intervention. However, p = 0.083 > 0.05 indicated no significant difference in skills before and after the lecture intervention. The independent t-test showed significant differences in knowledge (p = 0.022) and skills (p = 0.021) between treatment and control groups. Spearman Rank analysis revealed significant correlations between knowledge and behavior (p = 0.047, r = 0.354), and between skills and behavior (p = 0.004, r = 0.494). Combined, knowledge and skills significantly influenced behavior (p = 0.046). Conclusion: The Emo Demo method is effective and efficient in increasing knowledge, skills and behavior related to stunting prevention care. Health workers and service facility staff are expected to help reduce stunting prevalence by promoting maternal preventive behaviors for infants aged 0-6 months through health education using the Emo-Demo method.

Abstract

Independent diabetes care management is needed for health maintenance. Low self-care is caused by low self-efficacy. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of diabetes self-management education and support for self-efficacy and independent behavior in clients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. This observational research used a cross sectional approach. Sample which used clusster sampling method consisted of of 200 people. Independent variable was education and support for independent diabetes management, and dependent variable was self-efficacy and independence. Research analysis techniques used bivariate statistical logistic regression test. The results of Binary Logistic Regression test showed that education and independent management support for diabetes significantly influence self-efficacy with a result of sig 0.001 <α 0.05. Education and support for independent diabetes management significantly influence self-care with sig 0,000 <α 0,05. Self-efficacy affects self-care significantly with sig 0,000 <α 0,05. Self-management education and diabetes support are beneficial for people with type 2 diabetes in increasing self-confidence to control and manage the disease they experience. Keywords: Self-management education, self-efficacy and self-reliance behavior

Abstract

Providing additional food that is not targeted and does not comply with consumption rules can cause nutritional problems.Based on a preliminary study at the Jaddih Community Health Center, it was found that 60% of MP-ASI provision was in the deficient category and breastfeeding practice was 50% in the deficient category. This shows the low level of maternal behavior in providing MP-ASI and breastfeeding practices in preventing stunting.. Objective: This study aims to analyze the factors that influence maternal behavior to prevent stunting, namely attitudes, subjective norms, perceived control, intentions towards providing complementary breast milk and breastfeeding practices in children aged 6-12 months according to the Theory Planned Of Behavior Method: This type of researchis an analytical observational with a cross sectional approach. The population was 144 mothers who had babies aged 6-12 months, withA sample of 122, using purposive sampling technique.Independent variables (attitudes, norms, control, intentions, and behavior) and dependent variables (stunting prevention in providing MP-ASI and breastfeeding practices). Results: The research results of multiple linear regression tests on attitude variables with an intention p value of 0.001<(0.05), H0 is accepted, there is no significant relationship. Subjective norm variable with an intention p value of 0.829>(0.05). H0 is accepted, there is no significant relationship. Perception control variable with an intention p value of 0.004<(0.05). H1 is accepted, there is a significant relationship. Attitude variables, subjective norms, perceived control with intention p value 0.001 <(0.05) of the 3 variables above are simultaneously related. The results of the Spearman rank test for the attitude variable with intention obtained a p value of 0.000 <(0.05). H0 was rejected, there is a significant relationship between intention and behavior, the value r: 0.538 has a strong relationship. Conclusions: Mothers with high intentions have good behavior. This is a factor that influences mother's behaviorin complementary feeding and breastfeeding practices. It is hoped that health workers and those who work in service facilities can contribute to reducing the prevalence of stunting by increasing maternal preventive behavior for babies aged 6-12 months.

Abstract

Health Service Facilities are places to organize health service efforts, both promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative. Health services that are the first service in the health level of a region are Hospitals. One of the technologies that is currently developing is the Self-Registration Queue Machine (APM). This innovation project report aims to identify the level of satisfaction with the use of the Self-Registration Queue Machine for patients or the Community at Anna Medika Hospital Madura. This innovation project report was conducted on patients/families who use APM machines at Anna Medika Hospital, Madura. The sampling technique in this study used the Incidental Sampling Technique so that the respondents in this study were 18 respondents. The type of research used in this study is descriptive quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The questionnaire research instrument was declared valid and reliable. The data analysis used was descriptive and univariate analysis. The results of the study showed the percentage of group calculations from the Format dimension 0.566 (56.6%) and Ease of Use 0.544 (59.5%) included in the moderate category, the Content dimension 0.722 (72.2%), Accurancy 0.811 (81.1%) and Timelines 0.656 (65.6%) were in the good category. This indicates that the satisfaction of APM machine users is running well and needs to be maintained, so there needs to be socialization for officers who are less supportive. The purpose of using APM machines is to reduce registration time at the counter for health services provided to improve services for outpatient needs.

Abstract

More than 50% of respondents in outpatient clinics at five Community Health Centers (Puskesmas) in the working area of Sampang Regency were not aware of the availability of integrated traditional health services. This study aims to increase public knowledge of integrated traditional health services and to increase the number of visits to these units. The research method used was Research and Development. Subjects were selected using simple random sampling with a total sample of 175 participants. The analysis in this study was designed using the ADDIE model. The results showed an increase in public knowledge and an increase in the number of visits to the service units, reaching an average of 3–29 patients per month at each Puskesmas. To increase viewership and interest in TikTok content, it is recommended that Puskesmas develop more engaging animated video content, rather than relying solely on videos containing e-leaflets.
