Abstract

This research describes the use of Crossword Puzzle to improve students’ vocabulary mastery. Moreover, it was to find out whether Crossword Puzzle is effective to improve students’ vocabulary mastery at the second grade students of SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Bandar Lampung. This research used experimental design in which the samples of the research were assessed both before and after an experimental treatment. The subject of the research consisted of 68 students, they were divided into experimental and control group. The instruments used for collecting the data were test which was consisted of pretest and posttest. The data analysis of this research was attempted by using independent sample T-test which was calculated through computing with statistical package for Social Science (SPSS) version 20.The result indicated that the students’ mean score of experimental and control group in post-test were significantly different. It showed that t-count was higher than t-table (4.454 > 1.9966) and the sig. 2-tailed value was lower than sig. Level (0.000 > 0.05). Therefore the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. It meant that there was effective impact of using crossword puzzle towards students’ vocabulary mastery. Decision based on facts, using crossword puzzle as a technique was effective to improve students’ vocabulary. Therefore, it was suggested the use of crossword puzzle as a technique in teaching English generally and teaching Vocabulary specifically

Abstract

Sistem image streaming diharapkan dapat menjadi pilihan yang juga dapat menumbuhkan kemampuan membuat cerpen siswa kelas X UPT SMA Negeri 7 Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa kesulitan untuk menyampaikan pemikiran, anggapan, dan pertimbangan mereka dalam kalimat yang tepat ke dalam desain yang terorganisir. Survei ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kepraktisan sebuah kerangka gambar streaming dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membuat cerita pendek untuk siswa kelas X UPT SMA Negeri 7 Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir. Strategi bermacam-macam data digunakan melalui wawasan, tes terorganisir, pertemuan dan studi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X UPT SMA Negeri 7 Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir. Soal tes diambil dari siswa kelas X IPS 1 yang terdiri dari 27 siswa yang terdiri dari 17 remaja putri dan 10 remaja putri. Hasil survei ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan membuat cerita pendek pada siswa kelas X IPS 1 UPT SMA Negeri 7 Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir. Hal ini terlihat dari nilai tipikal pada pra siklus adalah 46,67 dengan laju keberhasilan 25,93%, sedangkan nilai biasa pada siklus esensial adalah 63,70 dengan tingkat keberhasilan 51,85%, dan nilai tipikal pada siklus utama adalah 51,85%. II adalah 75,93 dengan laju keberhasilan 85,19%.

Abstract

Suhu digunakan dalam mempelajari proses-proses fisik, kimiawi dan biologis yang terjadi di laut. Salinitas berperan dalam kelangsungan hidup organisme laut. Tinggi muka laut berpotensi terhadap terjadinya proses upwelling ataupun downwelling yang menyebabkan terjadinya pengadukan massa air laut yang membawa unsur hara. Klorofil-a berkaitan dengan produktivitas primer lautan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis variabilitas suhu permukaan laut, salinitas, tinggi muka laut, dan klorofil-a di Perairan Sumatera Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan data citra satelit yang diunduh dari Google Earth Engine. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suhu permukaan laut, salinitas, tinggi muka laut, dan klorofil-a memiliki variasi ataupun perbedaan, baik antar tahun 2018 sampai 2022 maupun antar musim barat, peralihan I, timur, dan peralihan II untuks setiap tahunnya. Secara spasial, suhu permukaan laut, tinggi muka laut, dan klorofil-a lebih tinggi di pesisir dibandingkan laut lepas. Sebaliknya, salinitas lebih tinggi di laut lepas dibandingkan pesisir

Abstract

A major challenge for educational institutions is recognizing their students' academic abilities and guiding them toward the right concentration. Grouping concentration areas for students is not easy. Grouping concentration areas will help students focus more on a concentration they are interested in and align it with their academic grades. The urgency of this research lies in the need to present a more objective, accurate, and data-driven method for grouping student concentration areas. With a recommendation system supported by data mining techniques, the process of determining concentration areas depends not only on students' personal preferences but also considers relevant academic performance patterns. This problem can be solved by utilizing data mining techniques, specifically the clustering method using the CLARANS algorithm. This study aims to analyze student data according to the weighting of certain course grades using the Clarans Algorithm, thus being able to provide decision support for grouping student grades to determine which major a student should be enrolled in. Student grade data with high (Network), medium (Programming), and low (Internet of Things) grades can be grouped into three clusters. The test results showed that 11 students were enrolled in the programming concentration, 5 students in the networking concentration, and 9 students in the Internet of Things concentration.

Abstract

AbstrakPermasalahan pada penelitian ini yaitu rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Tujuan penelitiannya yaitu untuk mengetahui penerapan lesson study dengan Problem Based Learning (PBL) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan penguatan profil pelajar pancasila pada siswa kelas X MPLB SMKN 2 Kuningan. Kegiatan Lesson Study terdiri dari tiga tahapan kegiatan yaitu PLAN (merencanakan), DO (melaksanakan), SEE (Merefleksi). Dalam kegiatan PLAN guru model beserta guru lain sebagai observer merencanakan rencana pembelajaran dalam hal ini disebut modul ajar sesuai dengan ketentuan dalam Kurikulum Merdeka. Para observer  memberi masukan atas modul ajar yang disusun oleh guru model. Dalam tahapan kedua yaitu DO, guru model melaksanakan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran yaitu Problem Based Learning (PBL) yang menitik beratkan pada keaktifan peserta didik di dalam pembelajaran dan pemecahan masalah dari topik yang diajarkan dipecahkan oleh peserta didik itu sendiri dengan cara berkelompok sampai dengan memberikan kesimpulan. Guru model hanya sebagai fasilitator dalam pembelajaran. Model pembelajaran PBL merangsang peserta didik untuk berpikir kritis dan membuka wawasan peserta didik itu sendiri. Tahapan ketiga yaitu SEE dengan merefleksi hasil pembelajaran yang telah dilaksanakan guru model dengan melihat kekurangan dalam hal peserta didik belajar untuk ditindaklanjuti pada pembelajaran siklus selanjutnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa meningkat dengan penerapan model problem based learning melalui lesson study. Kata kunci: Lesson Study;  Problem Based Learning; Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis  AbstractThis research was conducted to solve the main problem faced by the students, their low critical thinking. The objective is to find out the application of lesson study with Problem Based Learning (PBL) to improve critical thinking skills by strengthening the profile of Pancasila students in class X MPLB SMKN 2 Kuningan. There are three stages of activity in implementing lesson study: PLAN,DO (implement), SEE (Reflect). In PLAN activities, the model teacher and other teachers as observers plan a lesson plan, in this case called a teaching module, in accordance with the provisions of the Independent Curriculum. The observers provide input on the teaching modules prepared by the model teacher. In the second stage, namely DO, the model teacher carries out learning using the learning model, namely Problem Based Learning (PBL) which focuses on the activeness of students in learning and solving problems from the topics taught are solved by the students themselves by way of groups up to giving conclusion. The model teacher is only a facilitator in learning. The PBL learning model stimulates students to think critically and opens the students' own insights. The third stage is SEE by reflecting on the learning outcomes that have been carried out by the model teacher by looking at the deficiencies in terms of student learning to be followed up in the next cycle of learning. The results showed that students' critical thinking skills increased with the application of the problem-based learning model through lesson study. Keywords: Lesson Study;  Problem Based Learning; Critical Thinking Skills
