Abstract

This study explains employee engagement for millennial employees. It identifies a career development that supports millennial employees, particularly in the DKI Jakarta area, to achieve better employee engagement, and the phenomenon of job-hopping reduces generation millennials. The subject of the investigation is employees of the millennial generation in the DKI Jakarta, with 407 questionnaire participants. The primary data of this study were obtained from questionnaires completed by several respondents. In addition, the data is processed using path analysis to analyze the relationship pattern between variables. This research uses a cross-sectional design. Data are collected only at one point in time, making it difficult to assess long-term causal relationships. Results showed that career development has a positive impact on employee engagement. Companies need to develop professional development programs tailored to the aspirations and work styles of this generation to increase effectiveness. Future longitudinal research may provide further insight into changing dynamics over time. Data collected via questionnaires may contain respondent bias due to their self-reported nature. Additional data collection methods, such as interviews or observations, may help reduce this bias. This research sheds light on the job-hopping phenomenon among millennial employees in Jakarta, the economic and business center of Indonesia. It makes a special contribution to the limited literature on the work behavior of millennials in major Southeast Asian cities. This research provides new insights into how career development and employee engagement can work together to reduce job hopping, thereby providing additional value to companies seeking to retain their employees

Abstract

Technology challenges for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are constantly changing. Specifically, this research aims to examine how using digital payments affects the performance of MSME traders in Bekasi's food and beverage industry. The study used quantitative methodology and data processing using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) and involved 117 MSME respondents in Bekasi as samples.  The results of this study highlight how MSMEs' performance in Bekasi is significantly impacted by their use of digital payment systems. The study shows that MSMEs may maximize the benefits of digital payments if they demonstrate an openness to learning and an acceptance of new technical advancements. Furthermore, as critical components for MSMEs' success in the digital age, the study highlights the vital roles that technology innovation adaptation and training play. MSMEs in the food and beverage industry may improve operational efficiency and competitiveness by identifying and utilizing new technology. This research is limited to certain locations and variables, so further studies are needed with a broader scope and additional variables, such as the role of Pentahelix in developing MSMEs. The implications of this research that can be applied are that adopting technology increases the efficiency, competitiveness, and growth of MSMEs through digitalization and collaboration. Therefore, this research highlights the significance of a proactive strategy for technology integration and ongoing education in enabling MSMEs to prosper in the ever-changing digital ecosystem.

Abstract

This study investigates the effects of work-life balance and the workplace environment on job performance, with perceived organizational support (POS) serving as a moderating variable. The study addresses a research gap by focusing on staff members at locally branded five-star hotels in Jakarta and integrates these variables into a single model within a local organizational framework. A quantitative approach was employed using a standardized online questionnaire. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to examine the data, and bootstrapping was used for moderation analysis. The findings show that job environment and work-life balance significantly impact job performance. Furthermore, the association between work environment and job performance is strongly moderated by POS, but not between work-life balance and job performance. These findings suggest that organizational support has a contextual influence and is more effective at improving job performance through working conditions than through personal balance variables.  The study contributes to the literature by exploring how internal and perceived external factors influence employee performance, particularly within locally branded hotel settings
