Abstract

Rorippa indica L. Hiern is a local vegetable that is widely consumed by Dayak’s tribe in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. It is mostly traditionally cultivated without fertilizers, resulting in low productivity. The research aimed to investigate the effect of fertilizers and soil type on the growth characteristics and N uptake of R. indica. The experiment was arranged in a factorial completely randomized design consisting of two factors with four replications. The first factor was fertilizer application (control, 20 t ha-1 of chicken manure, and 600 kg ha-1 of NPK), and the second was soil type (peat and Ultisol). The results revealed that the interaction of fertilizers and soil type gave a non-significant effect on all variables observed, except N uptake. The application of NPK increased the plant height and number of leaves significantly. Compared to control, the increment was 112.50% and 130.32%, respectively, and chicken manure application increased the dry weight (327.87%), N total (310.16%), and N uptake of plants by 478% in peat soil and 228% in Ultisol. This finding concludes that 20 t ha-1 of chicken manure can be applied to increase the productivity of R. indica.

The purpose of this service activity is to improve the quality of processed food products of jack bean through standardization of product processing, developing the selling value of products through packaging, labeling, and product legality, so that it is commercially viable. The implementation methods used include counseling, training, and mentoring. The result of this activity is a "Tahai Baru" brand jack bean tempeh chip product, using updated product processing methods so that it does not taste and pungent smell, with six (6) flavor variants, packaged in aluminum foil standing pouch packaging, attractive label design, and by the law, and has a Business License Number (NIB) Number: 9120019231896.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of goat manure and NPK fertilizer on the growth of mustard pagoda and the degree of acidity on inland peat soils. This study used a Factorial Complete Randomized Design consisting of 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor was goat manure which consisted of 4 levels, namely 0 tons / ha; 25 tons/ha; 35 tons/ha; 45 tons/ha and the second factor was NPK fertilizer which consisted of 3 levels, namely 200 kg/ha; 300 kg/ha; and 400 kg/ha. The results showed that the interaction of goat manure fertilizer and NPK fertilizer did not affect all variables observed, as well as the NPK fertilizer application. However, the application of goat manure fertilizer affected plant height at the age of 2 -3 weeks after planting with a dose of 45 tons / ha with an average of 5.03 cm, the number of leaves in treatment of 35 tons / ha with an average of 6.99 leaves. Treatment of 45 tons / ha showed pH of 5.47 and Treatment of 25 tons / ha gave Al-dd content of 3.57.
