Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that the MSME sector is the flagship in absorbing the workforce by moving local resources to support the regional economy. So that the empowerment carried out by the government must be maximized MSMEs can be competitive. This research aims to analyze strategies in the Office of Cooperatives and MSMEs in empowering and developing MSMEs. This research uses qualitative approach with case study method. Data collection techniques used are by interviews, observations and studies of documents / records / reports and legislation related to the problems studied. The focus of this research is based on the main dimensions of the strategy, namely innovation, market deference, reach and cost control. The results of this study show that the strategy of the Cooperative Office and MSME District in MSME empowerment has not run optimally. Because the guidance from this government can not be felt by all MSME actors. Furthermore, MSMEs do not get capital assistance from the local government, and in the meantime there are still many MSMEs that have not received guidance from the government. In addition, the government has helped to overcome the problem of budget constraints by inviting participation from state-owned enterprises and the private sector in the implementation of MSME empowerment.

Abstract

This study aims to achieve several results that contribute to improving the community's ability regarding welding techniques that are currently in great demand by various industries. The method used is a qualitative method with observation used to understand in depth how SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) electric welding skills are developed in vocational high school students. The sample in this study was the Community Service Activity Implementation Team for the Development of SMAW Electric Welding Skills for Vocational High School (SMK) Students at the Surabaya Aviation Polytechnic Workshop in the 2024 Fiscal Year consisting of 16 people, the results of the study showed that the Development of SMAW Electric Welding Skills has improved the abilities of students of SMK Penerbangan AAG Yogyakarta, SMK Penerbangan Angkasa Lanud Iswahjudi Magetan, SMK Penerbangan Angkasa Malang, even providing new experiences for students from the Computer and Network Engineering department. Based on the results of the activity, the participants showed significant progress in knowledge and skills. Increasing knowledge and skills through the approach of educational materials and technical training provided, participants in this activity have learned the benefits, placement, procedures and how to use SMAW Electric welding correctly and safely. Almost all participants of this activity agreed that SMAW Electric Welding can help improve skills both in education and industry. Empowerment of Aviation Vocational School students in developing SMAW Electric Welding skills is expected to be applied in various industrial fields by providing several examples of how to use SMAW Electric Welding.

Abstract

This research presents the optimization of seaplane maintenance in coastal areas, emphasizing the importance of qualitative research methods to understand the experiences and problem-solving approaches of maintenance personnel. This study highlights the unique operational challenges faced by seaplanes, particularly their susceptibility to corrosion in harsh environments. Regular inspections at specific intervals (25, 50, 100, and 200 flight hours) are critical to ensure the structural integrity and functionality of the flotation device. This research underscores the need for pilots and technicians to have basic maintenance knowledge to uphold airworthiness, especially during long-range operations, while addressing risks associated with environmental factors such as saltwater and ice.

Abstract

The development of technology in the world of aerodynamics, one of which is research on airfoils. There have been many various studies that have been used to examine airfoils in various flap configurations according to their use. along with the development of the times, research is increasingly easy to do without taking up a lot of time and spending a lot of money. Aerodynamic characteristics are very important in the field of aerodynamic application science aimed at obtaining the maximum performance of an airfoil shape. Therefore, in this case, research on the aerodynamic characteristics of an airfoil is very necessary to get results in the form of airfoil configuration development with force output results for better performance. The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in the performance of NACA 2412 airfoil with the addition of v-groove riblets compared to without v-groove riblets. The existence of v-groove riblets, can delay the occurrence of separation. The simulation shows that the highest lift coefficient increase occurs at α = 14˚ with an increase of 3% lift coefficient and can reduce drag by 7.3% at α = 2˚ so it can be concluded by adding riblets to the airfoil can improve the performance of the Airfoil
