Abstract

During the Covid 19 pandemic, the teaching and learning process, especially in practical courses which were initially face-to-face, turned online. This change had several impacts on lectures, especially in terms of learning outcomes and the quality of graduates in terms of skills. Therefore, it is very necessary to carry out an evaluation of this learning process using the CIPP model developed by Stufflebeam. This evaluation model aims to find out how effective the use of virtual laboratories is in learning practical courses online. This research is evaluative research using a qualitative descriptive approach. Where the data used in this study is qualitative data with analytical methods. The technique used in this study is to examine existing data using grounded research methods. From the results of this study, there is the largest percentage, namely the use of virtual laboratories has been quite effective in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic, with the improvement and development of media and learning models that are more innovative and creative. In addition, efforts in skills that directly deal with equipment still need to be fulfilled in real laboratories to increase enrichment and deeper understanding and skills in work procedures in the world of work later.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan pemasangan dan pengaturan peralatan Internet of Things (IoT) terkait jadwal sholat di Masjid Al Falah dan Masjid Burhan Tlukan, Desa Kanigoro, Kecamatan Kanigoro, Kabupaten Blitar, Jawa Timur. Pelatihan ini ditujukan kepada masyarakat desa, terutama tim Dewan Kemakmuran Masjid (DKM) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan teknis mereka dalam mengoperasikan dan memelihara sistem IoT, sehingga dapat membantu masjid dalam mengelola jadwal sholat secara efisien dan tepat waktu. Kegiatan yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 26 September 2024 ini melibatkan 20 peserta dari perwakilan kedua masjid. Pelatihan berlangsung dengan antusiasme tinggi, melibatkan diskusi, tanya jawab, serta praktik instalasi perangkat "Khalifah Controller" untuk jadwal sholat. Hasilnya, sistem berhasil terpasang di kedua masjid sesuai dengan lokasi dan waktu yang tepat. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah pelaksanaan berjalan dengan baik sesuai rencana, dan peserta berharap program pengabdian masyarakat ini dapat dilakukan secara konsisten setiap tahun serta diperluas dengan pelatihan IoT pada peralatan lainnya. Kata Kunci: Pelatihan, IoT, Jadwal Sholat, Masjid, Pengabdian Masyarakat, Teknologi, Blitar.

Abstract

Very High Frequency Air to Ground (VHF A/G) adalah fasilitas komunikasi penerbangan yang beroperasi pada frekuensi 117.975 MHz hingga 136.975 MHz. Berdasarkan KP 35 Tahun 2015, VHF A/G memiliki komponen utama dan cadangan yang dihubungkan dengan pemindah otomatis (Automatic Changeover Switch)yang memungkinkan perpindahan otomatis sesuai kebutuhan operasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang sebuah Automatic Changeover Unit berbasis Arduino Uno R3 pada VHF A/G Rohde & SchwarzXU251 di Perum LPPNPI cabang Tarakan. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan 4D: Define, Design, Development, Disseminate. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sistem yang dirancang mampu melakukan perpindahan secara otomatis dari perangkat utama ke perangkat cadangan pada kondisi alarm.

Abstract

Aerodynamics is a fundamental discipline in the field of aviation, as it governs the airflow around an aircraft, enabling lift generation. The design and construction of aircraft wings are critical, as they directly impact the aircraft's stability and lift efficiency. Thus, aerodynamics plays a pivotal role in the performance, functionality, and overall design of aircraft. With advancements in modern aviation, continuous improvements are being made in the design and configuration of wing models. To analyze the aerodynamic characteristics of an aircraft wing, the airflow distribution method is commonly employed, one of which includes the use of vortex generators. This study investigates the effects of adding triangular vortex generators to a NACA 0012 airfoil, utilizing the smoke generator method in a straight arrangement. The experiments were conducted in an open-circuit wind tunnel with an airflow velocity of 5 m/s. The angles of attack tested were 0°, 4°, 8°, 10°, 15°, 17°, and 20°. The vortex generators were positioned 20% of the chord length from the leading edge of the airfoil. The experimental results demonstrate that the addition of triangular vortex generators increases the distance to the furthest point of separation and enhances the transition point on the airfoil. The aerodynamic performance of the airfoil was evaluated based on the observed airflow patterns around the airfoil, which showed notable differences compared to the airfoil without vortex generators.

Abstract

Slat and Slot is one of the components of high lift devices in addition to the flaps used on the wings of the aircraft. It has a function to provide a lifting force when the attack angle of the aircraft wing is high. The topic studied in this study was the flow that crossed the NACA 23018 airfoil with the addition of slats and slots. The research method used is a 3-dimensional analysis method using ansys fluent software. The test object to be used is the NACA 23018 airfoil. This research was conducted numerically using the CFD (computational fluid dynamic) method. The purpose of this study was to compare the characteristics of fluid flow with or without the addition of slats and slots. The speed used is 40m/s with a spacing of 5%, 8%, and 10% chords and the angle of attack used as variation parameters are (α) = 0°, 2°, 4°, 6°, 8°, 10°, 12°, 15°, 16°, 17°, 18°, 19° and 20°. The results showed that with the addition of slats and slots on the NACA 23018 Airfoil, it can increase the lifting force at the high angle of attack, as well as delay the stall due to delays in airflow separation. In the airfoil variation with a slat clearence of S = 10% (α = 20⁰) has a lift coefficient with the most maximum value and a more even distribution. So in this study, it came to the conclusion that the most effective variation used in the NACA 23018 Airfoil was with a 10% slat clearence at subsonic speed

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan mengetahui fasilitas navigasi udara yang nantinya akan menjadi sasaran setelah bekerja nantinya.Penyuluhan ini menyampaikan tentang profil lulusan, Visi dan misi Prodi D3 Teknik Navigasi Udara serta fasilitas navigasi penerbangan kepada siswa siswi SMA Islam Terpadu Arafah Kotawaringin Klaimantan Tengah yang sedang melaksanakan kunjungan belajar di Politeknik Penerbangan Surabaya. Penyuluhan ini menjelaskan peralatan navigasi penerbangan meliputi Doppler VHF Omnidirectional Range, Distance Measuring Equipment, Instrument Landing System yang peralat tersebut benar secara nyata berada di bandar udara. Selain penjelat tentang funsi dan cara kerja untuk meningkatkan pemahaman yang lebih dalam juga disampaikan secara simulasi peralatan ini bagaimana bekerja dan berkomunikasi dengan pesawat. Kegiatan yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 16 April 2025 ini melibatkan taruna taruni tingkat 3 (tiga) dengan tujuan untuk semakin familiar tentang wawasan kedirgantaraan terutama pada bidang navigasu udara. Penyuluan ini berlangsung dengan antusiasme tinggi, melibatkan diskusi, tanya jawab, serta praktik simulasi bagaimana Instrument Landing System dapat memberikan signal dan tanda bahwa pesawat sudah tepat di center line dan sudut pendaratan 3 derajat. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah pelaksanaan berjalan dengan baik sesuai rencana, dan peserta berharap program pengabdian masyarakat ini dapat dilakukan secara konsisten setiap tahun serta diperluas dengan pelatihan yang lebih dalam dan waktu yang lebih dalam dalam pelatihan secara daring.

Abstract

Rapid advances in wireless communication systems have increased the demand for compact and efficient antennas. This study presents the design and analysis of miniature microstrip antennas intended for applications in L-band frequencies. The antenna structure is based on a rectangular patch with modifications in the form of U-shaped slot (MRDPU) and L- shaped slot (MRDPL) configurations that aim to reduce the size of the antenna without sacrificing performance. The proposed antenna operates in the frequency range of 1,064 GHz to 1,562 GHz, with significant improvements in return loss values, bandwidth, and overall efficiency. Comparative analysis shows that the design with U-shaped slots (MRDPU) provides better miniaturization and performance compared to L-shaped slot designs (MRDPL). The U- shaped slot design achieves a return loss of -11.15 dB at 1.064 GHz, while the L-shaped slot design has a return loss of -10.907 dB at 1.206 GHz. Both configurations offer an effective solution for L-band frequency applications. The study highlights the potential of slot-based modifications in achieving antenna miniaturization without sacrificing important performance parameters.

Abstract

Creative thinking is a crucial competency in vocational education, especially in facing the challenges of the dynamic aviation industry. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the improvement of creative thinking skills of vocational education students at the Surabaya Aviation Polytechnic. This study uses a quantitative approach to analyze the relationship between variables, with a sample of 100 students taken using a simple random sampling technique from a population of 525 Vocational Education students at the Surabaya Aviation Polytechnic. Data were collected through questionnaires and then analyzed using Multiple Linear Regression using SPSS 22 software. The results showed that Intrinsic Motivation Factors, Innovative Teaching Method Factors, and Industry Support Factors had a significant influence on students' creative thinking skills, while Learning Environment Factors did not have a significant effect. The Adjusted R Square determination coefficient of 0.687 indicates that 68.7% of the variation in creative thinking skills can be explained by the independent variables in the model, with the remaining 31.3% explained by other factors outside the model.

Abstract

In the world of aviation, it takes the right time, time synchronization is very important for the aviation system. If the time of the flight telecommunication facility is out of sync or out of sync, the flight data will be chaotic, so it is not known when the aircraft will land. If the time is not synchronized, data on accident incidents will be difficult to find. This research method uses an Microcontroller connected to the Network Time Protocol Server through internet media, then the Network Time Protocol Server generates time data in the form of Coordinate Universal Time. The Microcontroller functions as a server on the device that will perform time synchronization, and the Network Time Protocol Server data has accurate time accuracy. In the event of a time shift it will be compensated by the Microcontroller.

Abstract

Kemajuan Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi telah membawa banyak pengaruh dan perubahan dalam peradaban manusia. Semua bidang dan sektor kini sedang berlomba – lomba untuk berevolusi menuju era digital. Tak terkecuali dalam bidang pendidikan yang perlahan meninggalkan metode pembelajaran konvensional dan beralih ke metode Electronic learning untuk mendukung proses belajar yang lebih cepat, akurat, dan efisien. E-Learning adalah proses belajar secara efektif yang dihasilkan dengan cara menggabungkan penyampaian materi secara digital yang terdiri dari dukungan dan layanan belajar untuk mencapai tingkat pembelajaran yang tinggi.pada penelitian ini menggunakan platform pengembang Aplikasi berbasis PC sebagai alat untuk mendesain dan melakukan perancangan. Aplikasi Mobile Based Test menggabungkan 3 jenis tipe akun dengan peran yang berbeda - beda yaitu Administrator sebagai pengelola aplikasi, Dosen sebagai Tutor, dan Taruna sebagai siswa. Aplikasi ini akan dijalankan di Smartphone Android dan  terintegrasi dengan Database sebagai pusat pangkalan data.  Aplikasi Mobile Based Test nantinya dapat mendukung pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang meliputi suatu aktifitas akademik berupa kuis, ujian harian, ujian tengah semester, ujian akhir semester dan berbagai metode penilaian yang menggunakan teori di jurusan Teknik Navigasi Udara.
