Abstract

So far, watering plants is done manually. However, sometimes humans are constrained by limited free time. By using this tool, it is expected that watering the plants can be done at the right time. This research was conducted by making a device that can water plants on a scheduled basis using the Real Time Clock Module which is controlled by Arduino Uno. Plant watering system that is made can water plants automatically according to the schedule that has been set. The results of this study aim to facilitate the process of watering plants in the yard

Abstract

Rapid technological advances that this time we can use to protect our clothesline out of the rain or the weather is not friendly. By using Arduino Mega2560 as the control center, we can design a system prototype for smart clothesline. In this research, the design proposes a clothesline smart equipped with a light sensor, rain sensor, humidity sensor, wind speed sensor, and equipped with fans and lights as the clothes dryer in wet or damp conditions. We do not need to worry about the clothes that are on the line if the weather conditions are not friendly or clothes are still wet or damp, because it is protected with a clever system whereby clothesline clothesline will be entered into a security room at a time when the weather in the rain, overcast, or strong winds and when clothes are safety dirungan still wet or damp, eating humidity sensor will give input to the Arduino Mega 2560 to carry out the drying process by the fan and lights so we do not have to worry anymore if the clothes are dried in the sun is still wet or damp. The design tool created smart clothesline as a whole can work well and allow can be applied in everyday life.

Abstract

The author has conducted research at UD Stores. Variant Jl. Kabu-Kabu No. 31 Pematangsiantar and found a problem where the theft was prone to the place and no employees guarded the store during the closing. Then another problem arises how to monitor stores from a distance by using SMS Gateway notifications. So here the author provides a solution so that the store can be monitored remotely with SMS Gateway Notifications. The author implements a Magnetic switch on the front door so that when the door is forced open the buzzer will ring and the owner receives an SMS, then in the front room the writer implements a PIR sensor where when a human passes the sensor the buzzer will turn on and the shop owner will get SMS notification.

Abstract

This study aims to utilize the Profile Matching method in the recommendation process for hiring honorary teachers to become permanent teachers at Taman Siswa Bah Jambi Private High School. Honorary teachers are an important part of the education system in Indonesia, and recommendations for their appointment as permanent teachers require the right approach to ensure fair and efficient selection. In this study, an analysis of the Profile Matching method was carried out in assessing the feasibility and integrity of honorary teachers. Data collection was carried out by collecting information on academic achievement, teaching experience, and other qualifications of honorary teachers at Taman Siswa Bah Jambi Private High School. The results of the study show that Profile Matching provides recommendations that are quite relevant and can be considered in the appointment of honorary teachers to become permanent teachers. The Profile Matching method tends to place more emphasis on suitability of teaching qualifications and experience. This research is expected to provide valuable information for related parties in choosing the appropriate method for recommendations for hiring honorary teachers to become permanent teachers at Taman Siswa Bah Jambi Private High School.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak dari gaya kepemimpinan dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai di institusi pelayanan publik, dengan studi kasus dilakukan pada Kantor Badan Keluarga Berencana (BKB) Kabupaten Simalungun. Institusi pelayanan publik berperan penting dalam memberikan layanan kepada masyarakat, sehingga penting untuk memahami faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja pegawai di lingkungan tersebut. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan melibatkan pegawai dari berbagai unit kerja di Kantor BKB Kabupaten Simalungun sebagai responden. Instrumen survei digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data mengenai gaya kepemimpinan yang diterapkan oleh atasan, tingkat motivasi kerja pegawai, dan penilaian tentang kinerja pegawai.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara gaya kepemimpinan yang baik dan kinerja pegawai di Kantor BKB Kabupaten Simalungun. Gaya kepemimpinan yang inklusif, mendukung, dan memberdayakan memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap kinerja pegawai. Selain itu, motivasi kerja pegawai juga memiliki dampak signifikan terhadap kinerja mereka. Pegawai yang memiliki tingkat motivasi yang tinggi cenderung menunjukkan kinerja yang lebih baik dalam menjalankan tugas-tugas mereka di institusi pelayanan publik. Temuan dari penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa pentingnya peran atasan dalam menerapkan gaya kepemimpinan yang efektif serta memotivasi pegawai untuk mencapai tujuan organisasi. Oleh karena itu, manajemen di Kantor BKB Kabupaten Simalungun harus memberikan perhatian khusus dalam pengembangan keterampilan kepemimpinan atasan dan pengelolaan motivasi kerja pegawai guna meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan publik yang disediakan oleh institusi ini. Penelitian ini memberikan sumbangan penting dalam pemahaman tentang faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja pegawai di institusi pelayanan publik, khususnya pada Kantor BKB Kabupaten Simalungun. Implikasi dari hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai dasar dalam merancang strategi manajemen yang lebih efektif untuk meningkatkan kinerja pegawai di lembaga serupa. Selain itu, hasil penelitian ini juga dapat menjadi referensi bagi penelitian selanjutnya dalam bidang terkait.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of leadership on work morale, the influence of the work climate on work morale, and the influence of leadership and work climate on work morale in Pematangsiantar 4 Middle School. The method used in this study can be classified in the type of associative research that is a complete description of information about the relationship between variables one with other symptoms. The data analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis, classic assumption test, t test, F test and determinant coefficient. The results of the analysis show that leadership partially has a positive and significant effect on morale, tcount> ttable (3.838> 1.697), the work climate partially has a positive and significant effect on morale, with tcount> ttable (1853> 1.697), leadership and the work climate simultaneously has a positive and significant effect on work morale, with the value of Fcount> Ftable (32,250> 3,350).

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the influence of the school-based management system partially on teacher job satisfaction, the influence of leadership partially on teacher job satisfaction and the effect of school-based management systems and leadership simultaneously on teacher job satisfaction. The method used in this study can be classified in associative type research that is a description of complete information about the relationship between variables with other symptoms. Data analysis techniques used in this study are multiple linear regression analysis, classic assumption test, t test, F test and determinant coefficient. The results of the analysis and evaluation of the data obtained that the results of the school-based management system partially have a positive effect on teacher job satisfaction, the leadership variable partially has a positive effect on teacher job satisfaction, the school-based management system variable and leadership simultaneously have a positive effect on teacher job satisfaction. The influence of school and management-based management system variables on job satisfaction by 56.80% means that 43.20% is influenced by other factors not examined.

Abstract

Di era digital saat ini, media sosial telah menjadi bagian tak terpisahkan dari kehidupan remaja, khususnya Generasi Z. Namun, penggunaan yang berlebihan (overexposure) tidak hanya menawarkan koneksi sosial, tetapi juga membawa potensi risiko bagi kesehatan mental. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka dan wawancara mendalam terhadap delapan remaja Gen Z. Hasilnya menunjukkan adanya keterkaitan kuat antara overexposure media sosial dengan kecemasan sosial, rendahnya harga diri, dan gangguan tidur. Artikel ini menyoroti pentingnya literasi digital serta penguatan identitas diri remaja dalam menghadapi arus media sosial yang sangat cepat dan kompetitif. In today's digital age, social media has become an integral part of teenagers' lives, especially Generation Z. However, overexposure not only offers social connections, but also brings potential risks to mental health. This study used a qualitative method with a literature study approach and in-depth interviews with eight Gen Z teenagers. The results show a strong link between social media overexposure and social anxiety, low self-esteem, and sleep disturbances. This article highlights the importance of digital literacy and strengthening adolescents' self-identity in the face of rapid and competitive social media flows.
