Abstract

The business hotel is one of the facilities that support business work, and their activities are the reason of humans to travel some place for business in an area or urban areas. Dolok Sanggul Kab. Humbang Hasundutan is the one of area increasing their economy in every year with agriculture and hospitality sector as one of the driving axis of the economy in this area but, no one the hotel that supports business activities in around of this area. As one of the efforts undertaken to maintain the sustainability of natural, the design of Sustainable Architecture in the business hotels to be designed is very suitable theme be the reference to scheming business hotels in this area.

Abstract

Samosir is one of the famous tourist attraction for the beautiful view of nature of Lake Toba and some traditional cultural sites. Samosir began to start independent and has they have managing system for every area, and one of them is a tourist attraction. This area has the infrastructure that should be available very well, the most important thing in tourist attraction context in Samosir Island is the water crossing terminal because water transportation is the main part of tourist attractions life in Samosir Island. Tomok Village’s dock is one of the main doors that very busy with so many visits from the passenger. To provide a decent service, this dock is still far from expectations. Can be seen from the limit of the passengers this dock can afford, with the increasing intensity of passengers. However, this region needs to redevelopment using every single available potential. In the end, the dockyard should be attractive and give a great experience of Batak Toba culture. The designer will create the cultural experience through the display of the buildings. The designer hopes to facilitate passengers to cross the lake to Samosir island using Tomok village’s dockyard.

Abstract

Simalungun Regency is an autonomous region that has quite a wealth of natural resources that require maximum development. Tourism development in Simalungun Regency has a very significant and strategic meaning. A tourism sector is a mainstay plane that is expected to support the development of regional development. The tourism is also not free from the available facilities and infrastructure such as port as a means of transport inter-island liaison. The Tigaras Ferry pier is one of the existing ports to connect the Tigaras districts with Simanindo in Samosir District. Tigaras dock at this time not so noticed by the local government, but the area is an alternative port in the field as a liaison to the island of Samosir through Simanindo pier. Supporting infrastructure in the region is also inadequate. The arrangement of Tigaras and the design of dock terminal building and public place using organic theme then produce that connect the aspect of the outer and inner space. Buildings with the formation of a mass of course organic, as well as the public area that can attract visitors to be more environmentally conscious. Through this revitalization, the designer hopes to facilitate passengers or people who will cross to Samosir Island by using this Tigaras dock.

Abstract

Nowadays, tourism has an important place in urban development, where every city competes to improve their tourism. Night tourism, as the new strategy in tourism development, needs to be given attention from the stakeholder. The two most important aspects of the night tourism development are environmental and night atmosphere. Increasing the aspect of night tourism cannot be separated from the local wisdom-based. Berastagi is the most popular tourist destination in Karo Regency, which has a night tourism destination. Not only it, but Berastagi also has an authentic culture from the Karonessse tradition. Unfortunately, both of these potentials have not developed yet as the strength of tourist attraction in Berastagi. This paper aims to find how are the development of the environment and atmosphere aspect of Berastagi Night Tourism based on local wisdom. This research used a descriptive qualitative method which analyzes data collected by field observation and depth interview. The study shows that involving local wisdom in developing the environment and night atmosphere can build a specific identity for the town night tourism.

Abstract

Tourism is one of the industries that can improve the welfare of the people in  an area, one.of.which is heritage.tourism. Visits to heritage tourism are one of  the fastest growing tourist activities, so heritage tourism is an asset that should  be developed by each region. In heritage tourism, there is a place attachment.  Place attachment is a bond made by humans with a place. One aspect of the  formation of place attachment is the meaning of place. A historical tourist  attraction that has a place attachment is the Rumah Balai Ujung Tanjung  Tanjungbalai. This study aims to analyze aspects of the meaning of the place  owned by Rumah Balai. The.research.method used in this.research is a  concurrent mixedmethod. The results of the analysis carried out stated that the  aspect of the meaning of the place owned by Rumah Balai Ujung Tanjung is  still low and this can be improved by increasing aspects of physical  characteristics and aspects of social interaction. So that it can increase the  number of visitors who come.
