Abstract

Cases of sexual violence and abuse in Indonesia are increasingly common. Not only in adults, children are now victims. Some cases of victims or perpetrators involve underage children. Many parents feel taboo to talk about early childhood education with children. This causes children not to get information that is supposed to protect themselves from sexual violence. Need to do various efforts to provide education to children about knowledge to protect themselves from sexual violence. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of sexual violence education on children on efforts to protect from sexual violence. This study uses pre-experimental design with approach pretest-posttest design. The number of samples is 195 children taken by purposive sampling technique. Analyze data using  different Wilcoxon Signed Rank test with 95% significance level, p ? (0.05). The results showed that the average age of the respondents was 10.2 years and most of the men were 52.8%. Before giving education, the average score of respondents' knowledge about efforts to protect themselves from sexual violence was 6.7 and increased to 7.79 after giving education. There is a difference in knowledge about efforts to protect themselves from sexual violence before and after being given education (p value ? 0.001; <? = 0.05). It is recommended that the provision of information about sexual violence be given regularly by teachers and parents.Keywords: Education - Elementary School Age Knowledge - Efforts to Protect Themselves from Sexual Violence

Abstract

Kelas Ibu Balita adalah kelas para ibu yang mempunyai anak berusia antar 0-5 tahun secara bersama sama berdiskusi, tukar pendapat, tukar pengalaman akan pemenuhan pelayanan kesehatan, gizi dan stimulasi pertumbuhan dan perkembangannya dibimbing oleh fasilitator dengan menggunakan buku KIA. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan ibu memberikan stimulasi tumbuh kembang  anak melalui pelaksanaan  program Kelas Ibu Balita. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Posyandu wilayah Desa Sukawati. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan metoda  ceramah, wawancara dan observasi. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat dari karakteristik sasaran menunjukan   rata- rata berusia 29,77 tahun, dengan tingkat pendidikan ibu sebagian besar pada jenjang pendidikan menengah.  Sebelum pelaksanaan Kelas Ibu Balita pengetahuan, sikap, keterampilan maupun kemampuan yang didiidentifikasi dari ketiga asfek tersebut hanya sebagian kecil dalam katagori baik. Ada perbedaan kemampuan ibu dalam memberikan stimulasi tumbuh kembangan sebelum dan sesudah  mengikuti Kelas Ibu Balita. Disarankan agar Kelas Ibu Balita dilaksanakan secara rutin mengikuti jadwal Posyandu. Kata Kunci ; Kelas Ibu Balita- Kemampuan Ibu- Stimulasi tumbuh kembang

Abstract

Children are infinite gifts. They are the next generation of the nation in a country. Children's growth and development is an absolute concern for parents. To achieve good growth and development of children, of course also must be with education and support from the environment where children live. Children are complex creatures who have a high dependence on other people, especially the closest person. Information and guidance for parents, we pack in a simple book, with the titled "Family Communication Module". Become a kind of guidance for families and teenagers, how ideally they interact with each other. Parents are rule models in the family. A good example will reduce good examples of children's development, especially emotional intelligence and independence. Of the 140 respondents, 93 people or 66.43% got good benefits. 37 people or 26.43% get enough benefits, and 10 people or 7.14% have not received significant benefits from the use of this family communication module.Keywords: Children, Family, Communication

Abstract

Kemampuan mengingat dalam bermain puzzle pada anak retardasi mental adalah kemampuan kecerdasan anak. Dalam bermain puzzle anak-anak dapat lebih terkonsentrasi dalam menerima pelajaran di kelas, khususnya pada anak-anak retardasi mental. Sehingga, diharapkan dari pemberian terapi teka-teki secara teratur, anak-anak bisa menularkan ilmunya dalam surat recall. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh terapi puzzle terhadap kemampuan mengingat anak retardasi mental di SLBN-Gianyar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pra-eksperimen (one-group pre-post test design) yang terdiri dari 39 siswa sebagai sampel yang diperoleh secara purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui uji Digit Spam yang terdiri dari 2 komponen yaitu: urutan Forward Digit dan urutan Backward Digit. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa ada 9 siswa (23,1%) memiliki kemampuan mengingat yang rendah, 20 siswa (51,3%) memiliki kemampuan mengingat rata-rata, dan 10 siswa (25,6) %) memiliki kemampuan mengingat yang tinggi sebelum bermain terapi puzzle diberikan. Setelah diberikan terapi puzzle, tidak ada siswa (0%) yang memiliki kemampuan mengingat rendah, 12 siswa (30,8%) memiliki kemampuan mengingat rata-rata, dan 27 siswa (69,2%) memiliki kemampuan tinggi dalam mengingat. mengingat kembali. Berdasarkan pasangan Wilcoxon yang cocok, perbedaan ini secara statistik berarti nilai p = 0,000 berarti ada efek pada terapi bermain puzzle pada anak-anak retardasi mental di SLBN-Gianyar. Kata kunci: puzzle, memori, keterbelakangan mental ABSTRACT The ability to recall in playing puzzle on mental retardation children was an intelligence ability of the children. In playing puzzle the children can be more concentrated in receiving lesson in the class, specifically on mental retardation children. So that, it was expected from giving puzzle therapy regularly, the children can spread their knowledge in letter recalling. This research aimed at knowing the effect of puzzle therapy on recalling ability of mental retardation children in SLBN-Gianyar. This research was a pre-experimental(one-group pre-post test design) study consisted of 39 students as samples which gained by purposive sampling.The data collection was conducted through Digit Spam test consisted of 2 components those were: sequences of Forward Digit and sequences of Backward Digit.The result of this research states that there are 9 students (23,1%) have low ability in recalling, 20 students (51,3%) have average ability in recalling, and 10 students (25,6 %) have high ability in recalling before playing puzzle therapy is given. After playing puzzle therapy is given, there is no students (0%) who is in low ability in recalling, 12 studnets (30,8%) have average ability in recalling, and 27 students (69,2%) have high ability in recalling. Based on Wilcoxon matched pairs, this difference statistically means p value = 0,000 means there is an effect on the playing puzzle therapy upon mental retardation children in SLBN-Gianyar. Abstract

Perilaku bullying adalah tindakan negatif yang dilakukan oleh satu atau lebih siswa berulang kali karena ketidakseimbangan kekuatan atau kekuatan. Salah satu faktor internal dari perilaku intimidasi adalah rendahnya tingkat kecerdasan emosional telah mengakibatkan kontrol diri yang rendah menyebabkan keinginan untuk mendominasi yang lemah dan mereka yang menjadi korban memiliki keinginan untuk membalas perilaku intimidasi yang pernah diterima sehingga orang lain yang lebih lemah dapat merasakan apa yang mereka rasakan. Penelitian ini menganalisis hubungan antara tingkat kecerdasan emosional dengan kecenderungan perilaku bullying pada siswa kelas V sekolah dasar di Kota Denpasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif korelasional dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. 185 siswa kelas lima sebagai sampel dipilih menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling sederhana. Pengumpulan data menggunakan formulir kuesioner skala likert. Berdasarkan analisis data yang diolah menggunakan uji Spearman Rank Correlation menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat kecerdasan emosional dan kecenderungan perilaku intimidasi (p = 0,000) dan terdapat korelasi negatif yang kuat antar variabel (r = -0,695). Kata kunci: perilaku bullying, sekolah dasar, kecerdasan emosional ABSTRACT Bullying behavior is a negative act committed by one or more students repeatedly because the imbalance strength or power. One of the internal factors of bullying behavior is the low level of emotional intelligence has resulted in low self-control causing desire to dominate the weak and those who are victims have the urge to avenge the bullying behavior has ever received so that others who are weaker can feel what they feels. This study analyze the relationship between the level of emotional intelligence with a tendency to bullying behavior in grade V elementary schools student at Denpasar city. This research using correlational description method with cross-sectional approach. 185 fifth grade students as samples were selected using simple random cluster sampling technique. Data collection using a likert scale questionnaire form. Based on the analysis of the data processed using the Spearman Rank Correlation test showed a significant relationship between the level of emotional intelligence and bullying behavior tendency (p=0.000) and there is a strong negative correlation between variables (r=-0.695). Abstract

Low Birth Weight (LBW) babies have their birth weight less than 2500 grams. It is caused by several factors, including the mother, fetus, and the environment. One of the problems experienced by LBW babies are breastfeeding problems which caused by the poor suction of baby's reflexes. Treatment that can be done to LBW babies consists of pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment. Therapy classical music of Mozart is one of non-pharmacological treatment. Mozart classical is music that provide peace and healing for its listeners. One of the benefits of classical music of Mozart to LBW babies is helping to improve reflexes suction that will help fulfill the nutrition in low birth weight babies. The purpose of this study is to determine the effects of Mozart music therapy on weight-gaining of LBW infants in Wangaya Perinatology Hospital. Benefits for the nursing profession of this study is expected to be material additional information to enrich nursing midwives especially on children who is related to the use non-pharmacological therapy in order to promote weight-gaining of LBW babies. This research was conducted at room Perinatology Wangaya Hospital on April 13 until May 13, 2015. This research method is quasy experimental with sample treated group consist of 10 people and the control group consist of 10 people. Results from this study after a independent statistical t-test was done showed there’s effect of classical music of Mozart on weight gain in LBW infants p <? (0.003 <0.05).

Abstract

AbstrakDiare merupakan salah satu penyebab tingginya morbiditas dan mortalitas anak di Indonesia. Salah satu faktor risikoterjadinya diare dan meningkatkan risiko anak untuk dirawat inap adalah kurang pengetahuan ibu. Penelitian ini bertujuanuntuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan terhadap kemampuan ibu merawat anak diare. Penelitian ini merupakanstudi kuasi eksperimen dengan rancangan post-test only with group control design. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 62 respondendi dua rumah sakit di Denpasar. Hasil post-test menggambarkan bahwa skor pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan masingmasingkelompok berbeda secara bermakna (p< 0,05) dan ibu pada kelompok intervensi mampu merawat anak diare, berbedasecara bermakna dengan kelompok kontrol (p= 0,000; α= 0,05). Pendidikan kesehatan perawatan anak diare hendaknyadiberikan secara intensif guna mendukung terlaksananya konsep family centered care dalam asuhan keperawatan anak di rumahsakit.Kata kunci: diare, kemampuan ibu, keterampilan, pengetahuan, sikapAbstractDiarrhea is one of the causes of high morbidity and mortality of children in Indonesia. One risk factor for diarrhea andincreased risk for hospitalized children is the lack of maternal knowledge. The study aimed to identify the effect of healtheducation for maternal ability in caring for child with diarrhea. This research was a quasi-experimental study, using controlgroup post-test only design. Study sample was 62 respondents in two hospitals in Denpasar. The results indicated that posttestscores of knowledge, attitudes and skills of each group were different significantly (p< 0.05). Mothers in the interventiongroup capable of caring for child with diarrhea, significantly different to those in the control group (p= 0.000; α= 0.05).Health education about diarrhea in children should be given intensively to support the implementation of family centeredcare concept in pediatric nursing at hospital.Keywords: diarrhea, maternal ability, skills, knowledge, attitudes

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the influence of providing flood disaster counseling toward 6th grade students’ preparedness facing flood disaster. This reasearch used Pre-Experimental Design which plans One Group Pretest-Posttest using simple random sampling. The sample was 80 students from 100 population. The result of the research shows that students preparedness before conducting counseling most of the students who are ready is only 32 students (40%) and after counseling students’ preparedness is increased to 38 students (47,5%). The research was measured by using Wilcoxon statistic test, ρ-value = 0,000 alpha (0,05), can be concluded there is influence of flood counseling toward 6th students preparedness to face flood disaster at SDN 11 Padangsambian.

Abstract

The background of this research is because dengue fever caused by the denguevirus through the bite of the female Aedes aegypti mosquito still has a high morbidity and mortality rate, especially in elementary school children.It's not clear why elementary school-aged children have high dengue fever rates, in terms of good parental knowledge research results. This study aims to determine whether the health behavior of elementary school children has a relationship with the incidence of dengue hemorrhagic fever.  This research is an analytic study with a cross sectional approach with a total sample of 62 people located at the State Elementary School 6 Banyuning Buleleng. How to take samples with simple random sampling technique. The results of the study using the Spearman rank correlation test showed an r value of -0.515 and a p value of 0.000 (α = 0.05). It was concluded that there was a significant relationship between health behavior and the incidence of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever. It is hoped that teachers, students and parents will play an active role in eradicating dengue fever through draining, closing and burying movements.

Abstract

Non-communicable diseases  are cases that have increased so far. One effort that can be done to reduce the risk factors and impacts of Non-communicable diseases is to activate Dasawisma cadres. Dasawisma cadres are a form of community participation in helping to control the factors related to sustainability and sustainability. The purpose of this study is to study the evolution of groups in increasing the role of dasawisma cadres in doing opposing Non-communicable diseases. This study used a quasi-experimental design using the pretest-posttest control group design. The number of samples is 80 cadres which are divided into 2 groups and technical samples are taken by Multistage Random Sampling technique. The intervention group was given education about Non-communicable diseases refusal and modules, while the control group only participated in the Posbindu activity and provided the module at the end of the activity. Data analysis using t-test, Mann-Whitney test, and Wilcoxon signature test. The results showed that there was a difference in knowledge = 0.004 motivation = 0,000 and role = 0,000 between intervention groups with control in Non-communicable diseases competition (p-value α = 0.05). Related to the cadre training carried out sustainable knowledge, motivation, and the role of cadres in the Non-communicable diseases struggle can continue to be maintained and improved.
