Abstract

Pellucide zone 3 (ZP3) involves in fertilization mechanism. Moreover, antibody of ZP3 can develop to inhibit egg and sperm interaction. This study aims to determine the effect of hZP3 (mab-hZP3) monoclonal antibody on the expression of Bcl-2 and Bax in follicle granulosa cells of the mice ovary. Female mice BALB/c were divided into 12 groups which consisted of control and experimental treatment group. Each group was added with 30% of total mice as error sample (1 mice). Each groups were treated differently: 50 µl adjuvant Al(OH)3 in 50 µl Tris HCl, 20 µg Mab-hZP3, 40 µg Mab- hZP3, and 60 µg Mab-hZP3. Each group was dissected at day 10, 15 and 20. Measurement of Bcl-2 and Bax was performed with immunohistochemistry. Data was analyzed by Two-Way ANOVA. There was no significant effect of Mab-hZP3 administration in various doses on Bcl-2 (p=0.0825), and Bax (p=0.836). There was no significant effect of administration of Mab-hZP3 in time (p=0.807), neither on Bcl-2 expression (p=0.088) and Bax (p=0.227). The lowest Bcl-2 level was found in dose of 60 µg in day 15. There was no significant effect of Mab-hZP3 in various doses and time (p=0.691), neither to Bcl-2 and Bax. Such results obtained due to the specificity of a monoclonal antibody that recognizes specific antigen. Mab-hZP3 is proposed as immunocontraception for women causing no disturbance of folliculogenesis.

Abstract

Background: Mental health is a vital although insufficiently examined component of student well-being at pondok pesantren (Islamic boarding schools). Pesantren offer organized religious instruction and discipline, although they also pose distinct psychological issues. Objective: This study examines the mental health resilience of santri at Pondok Pesantren Darussalam Martapura utilizing Antonovsky’s Salutogenic Model. Methods: A qualitative case study methodology was employed, utilizing semi-structured interviews, participant observations, and document analysis involving 40 respondents, comprising santri, ustadz, and administrators emphasizing comprehensibility, manageability, and meaningfulness as protective variables Results: The results indicate that pesantren cultivate resilience via faith-based coping mechanisms (82%), peer social support (74%), and organized routines (68%). Nonetheless, 62% of santri experience stress attributed to stringent discipline, while merely 32% have access to professional psychological services, underscoring deficiencies in mental health support. Although faith imparts a significant sense of purpose (81%), it does not entirely alleviate stress, since 43% continue to endure chronic psychological suffering. Conclusion: The research conclude that incorporating mental health education, flexible disciplinary systems, and organized counseling services within pesantren can improve resilience while upholding religious principles. These findings enhance the broader dialogue on mental health promotion within faith-based educational environments and advocate for a comprehensive approach to student well-being.

Abstract

The coverage rate of K6 Visits for pregnant women at the Pahandut Health Center in Palangkaraya City of 86.72% has not yet met the target of 100%. There are several factors that influence pregnant women in making ANC visits, namely behavioral factors and factors outside of behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the Determinants of Antenatal Care K6 Visits for pregnant women at the Pahandut Health Center in Palangka Raya City. This study used an Observational Analytical research design with a cross-sectional approach to identify the Determinants of Antenatal Care K6 visits at the Pahandut Health Center. The instrument in this study was a questionnaire and this study used Univariate and Bivariate data analysis. Bivariate analysis showed a significant relationship between Knowledge (ρ = 0.007), Attitude (ρ = 0.017), Husband's Support (ρ = 0.035), Distance of Residence (ρ = 0.040) with K6 coverage. While the relationship is not significant between Job (ρ = 0.445) with K6 coverage. Based on the results of the study, it was found that there was a significant relationship between Knowledge, Attitude, Husband's Support and Distance of Residence with K6 ANC Visits, while there was no relationship between Job and K6 ANC Visits.
