Abstract

Article was aimed to reveal how both positive and negative sides of competition among television stations in Indonesia was seen from their programs seen by television viewers. The study used qualitative methods to get an overview of the phenomena occurring at the social phenomenon. Data were collected by observation and documentary. Observations were made to the programs presented by various television stations, while the documentary was to process data and share ratings released by AGB Nielsen throughout the year 2011.  The results show that the competitions between television stations happened today have not presented many positive sides from the viewers because of the limited programs offered in Indonesia. In fact, many programs are aired only a repeatation of the previous successful ones.

Abstract

Broadcasting regulation is one interesting thing to be observed in Indonesia?s television industry development. One television program that mostly having violation of the regulation is Empat Mata which continued with Bukan Empat Mata broadcasted by Trans7. This supports the researcher to do research about how the exact perception of broadcasting practitioners towards broadcasting regulation in Indonesia. The result of qualitative research, which collects data through observation and literature study, shows there is lack of knowledge in broadcasting practitioners about Indonesia?s Broadcasting Commission (KPI) and broadcasting regulation in Indonesia. Besides less socialization, multi-interpretation troubles in some regulations are the probable cause of increasing numbers of violation towards broadcasting regulations. As preventing action, it needs to have open dialog between KPI and broadcasting practitioners as bridging communication of their different authorities, which would be useful to increase quality of television show in Indonesia.

Abstract

Praktek sharenting seringkali ditemui di akun instagram seseorang demikian pula dengan selebgram Ashanty dan Rachel Venya. Praktek sharenting ditandai dengan kerapnya orang tua membagi foto atau video anaknya ke media sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan Analisis Wacana Kritis model Teun A. Van Dijk dan dari perspektif teoritis akan digunakan teori Szikoanalisis dari De Leuze Guatari. Szikoanalisis, di ibaratkan sebagai sebuah mesin hasrat yang terus bergerak, selalu diproduksi dan direproduksi untuk memuaskan subyek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada analisis wacana teks (level mikro, superstruktur hingga makro) kedua selebgram ini memanfaatkan kelucuan dan kecerdasan anak mereka demi publisitas melalui foto, caption maupun tagar di instagram. Pada level kognisi Sosial, peneliti menganalisis bahwa praktek sharenting tidak didasari pada pemahaman akan literasi media akan data privasi. Hasil analisis pada level konteks sosial memperlihatkan bahwa praktek sharenting dapat berujung pada eksploitasi anak karena orang tua mendapatkan keuntungan secara finansial dari endorse sebuah produk/jasa yang menggunakan anaknya menjadi model iklan. Di sisi lain masyarakat tidak menganggap kegiatan sharenting sebagai bentuk eksploitasi dan malah memberi dukungan positif terhadap foto atau video yang diunggah ke dua selebgram tersebut.

Abstract

Abstract In the beginning of 2020 the mass media coverage was adorned with information about covid-19 outbreaks. The spread of covid-19 has crossed continents and even the rest of the world, making this period called as pandemic because it has infected 4.9 million people. The magnitude of this incident made the media including Kompas.com and Malaysiakini.com continue to convey information not only about health issues, but also other impacts in various fields such as law, politics, security and other social issues such as the economy and employment. This online news portal from Indonesia and Malaysia always reports on the development of covid-19 outbreaks in their respective countries. So much news was uploaded by the two online media that researcher only chose one news related to labor policy as the impact of covid-19 outbreaks. Using the theory of reality construction from Peter L. Berger, researcher analyzed the news framing using Robert N Enmant's model. The results showed an imbalance between the two online news portals because it only represented one party, where Kompas.com fetched news about wages from the point of view of the business world while Malaysiakini framed the appeal for the suspension of Eid Al-fitr leave that delivered by Mufti P Pinang as an opinion leader who respected by the Malaysian society. Keywords: Framing Analysis, Policy, Labor, Pandemic, Online Media.

Abstract

Perkembangan platform media sosial telah meningkat secara signifikan di era internet saat ini. Karena tidak bisa dipungkiri bahwa sebuah platform media sosial dapat memudahkan khalayak dalam mencari informasi terutama di masa pandemi Covid-19 yang saat ini masih berlangsung. Penelitian ini berusaha untuk mengetahui kebutuhan khalayak dalam memaknai konten media sosial channel YouTube Kompas TV sebagai sumber informasi khalayak dalam mencari informasi seputar Covid-19. Perolehan hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan mampu memberikan sebuah referensi dalam bidang akademis maupun praktisi dengan konteks informasi Covid-19 pada media sosial channel YouTube Kompas TV. Penelitian ini berfokus pada konsep konten media sosial channel YouTube Kompas TV, sumber informasi tentang Covid-19 dan teori Uses and Gratification. Pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan teknik purposive sampling pada mahasiswa dan mahasiswa fakultas komunikasi Al-Azhar angkatan 2021 dengan kriteria sebagai subscriber channel Kompas TV. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan secara online melalui link Google Form dengan tingkat pengukuran skala Likert 7 poin. Teknik analisis yang digunakan untuk Uji Konfirmasi adalah Uji Validitas dan Uji Reliabilitas. Sedangkan untuk pengolahan data menggunakan teknik Analisis Linear Sederhana dengan menggunakan software IBM SPSS. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa konten media sosial channel YouTube Kompas TV berpengaruh signifikan terhadap sumber informasi tentang pandemi Covid-19.Kata kunci: Konten Media Sosial, Pandemi Covid-19, Sumber Informasi.

Abstract

Abstrak. Program feature berjudul Dibalik Layar Kesenian Teater merupakan program televisi berformat audio visual yang dikemas dalam program feature. Program acara ini adalah program acara yang sangat menarik karena didalamnya terdapat persiapan persiapan yang dilakukan sebelum memulai suatu acara pentas. Acara ini sangat menarik untuk disaksikan karena tidak sembarang orang bisa melihat persiapan yang dilakukan sebelum acara dimulai. Dalam program ini penulis sebagai sutradara yang berperan sebagai penanggung jawab dari produksi ini, mulai dari persiapan produksi atau pra-produksi dilanjutkan dengan produksi program feature dan sampai dengan pasca produksi. Program feature ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi kepada masyarakat baik pemirsa maupun pembaca makalah ini akan pentingnya persiapan-persiapan yang telah dilakukan dan dipersiapkan untuk mendukung kelancaran sebuah kesenian teater. Adapun manfaat dari karya ini adalah agar masyarakat luas dapat berupa pengetahuan berupa pentingnya persiapan di balik layar untuk mendukung Seni Pertunjukan dengan baik. Manfaat Praktis Akan sangat membantu seorang penulis untuk menambah pengetahuan membuat Program Feature Televisi, dan juga membantu seorang penulis untuk memunculkan ide-ide kreatif dalam membuat program acara televisi yang mudah dipahami oleh masyarakat luas. Harapan penulis pada karya ini adalah karya ini dapat dijadikan sebagai hiburan, informasi dan edukasi kepada masyarakat agar lebih mengetahui persiapan persiapan yang dilakukan dibalik layar sebelum melakukan pementasan.Kata Kunci : Program Director, Program Feature, Backstage Abstract. The feature program entitled “Behind the Screens of Theater Arts” is a television program in audio-visual format packaged in a feature program. This program is a very interesting program because it contains preparations that are made before starting a stage event. This event is very interesting to watch because not just anyone can see the preparations that were made before the event started. In this program, the writer is the director who acts as the person in charge of this production, starting from production preparation or pre-production, followed by feature program production and up to post-production. This feature program aims to provide information to the public, both viewers and readers of this paper, about the importance of the preparations that have been made and are prepared to support the smooth running of a theater arts. The benefit of this work is that the wider community can gain knowledge in the form of the importance of behind-the-scenes preparation to properly support the Performing Arts. Practical Benefits It will really help a writer to increase his knowledge of making Television Feature Programs, and also help a writer to come up with creative ideas in making television programs that are easily understood by the wider community. Abstract

Abstrak. Program televisi yang berformat Feature, Program Backstage ini akan membahas semua hal yang berkaitan tentang dibalik layar sebuah acara. Acara ini juga sangat menarik karena Backstage sendiri merupakan area VIP, tak semua orang bisa dapat melihat dan masuk kedalam area Backstage tersebut. adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran seorang cameramen dalam menghasilkan gambar yang baik dan bisa membuat penonton tertarik untuk menontonnya.  Selain itu penulis memiliki peran sebagai seorang cameramen yang memiliki tanggung jawab dalam pengambilan gambar pada program Backstage ini, Pada pembuatan karya ini terbagi menjadi tiga tahapan yaitu pra produksi, produksi dan pasca produksi. Selain itu penulis dalam konsep produksi harus memikirkan bagaimana tata letak kamera yang di inginkan. Konsep teknis penulis menentukan alat – alat apasaja yang akan digunakan. Hasil yang dilakukan cameramen pada tahap pra produksi membuat shot list untuk acuan pada saat produksi, pada tahap produksi penulis banyak menggunakan Teknik kamera yang sangat bervarisasi seperti camera movement, angel (sudut pengambilan gambar), dan komposisi gambar, pada pasca produksi penulis membatu editor memilih gambar sesuai dengan naskah.  bedasarkan hasil karya program “Backstage” episode dibalik layar kesenian teater, penulis sebagai camera person bertanggung jawab dalam teknis pengambilan gambar. dengan adanya program ini dapat memberikan tayangan yang berkualitas dan informatif terhadap penonton.Kata Kunci : Camera person, Program feature, BackstageAbstrak. This television program in Feature format, Backstage Program will discuss all things related to behind the scenes of an event. This event is also very interesting because the Backstage itself is a VIP area, not everyone can see and enter the Backstage area. The aim of this research is to find out the role of a cameraman in producing good images that can make the audience interested in watching them. Apart from that, the author has the role of a cameraman who is responsible for taking pictures in this Backstage program. The making of this work is divided into three stages, namely pre-production, production and post-production. Apart from that, the writer in the production concept must think about the desired camera layout. The author's technical concept determines what tools will be used. The results of what the cameraman did at the pre-production stage was making a shot list for reference during production. At the production stage the author used many different camera techniques such as camera movement, angle (shooting angle), and image composition. In post-production the writer helped the editor choose The image matches the script. Based on the work of the Backstage program behind the scenes episodes of theater arts, the writer as camera person is responsible for the technical shooting. Abstract

This "BACKSTAGE" program is a feature format television program. This Backstage program will discuss all things related to behind the scenes of an event. This program is also very interesting because Backstage itself is a VIP area, not everyone can see and enter the Backstage area. This research has three benefits, namely general benefits, practical benefits and theoretical benefits. as for the purpose of this research is to provide information to the audience both those who watch and those who read this journal the importance of preparations made and prepared to support the smooth running of a Theater Arts. The creator of the work as a Producer creates an event program entitled "BACKSTAGE" in the making of this work is divided into three stages, namely pre-production, production and post-production. in addition to having full rights to a production, Producers also have duties in preparing an idea, conducting research, developing ideas, finding talent, recce, preparing tools, assisting the reading process, licensing production locations, preparing tools needed by each department and making production plans starting from schedules, drafting budgets, job descriptions, and real budgeting. In addition, the producer also controls during the filming and editing process, consumption, prepares accommodation and To avoid over time during the production process, the Producer makes a crew call that is adjusted to the hourly needs of each department.

Abstract

Journalism is one of the most dynamic professions. Likewise, photojournalists are always required to keep abreast of the latest developments and, as much as possible, share the latest stories of an event. In this digital era, the author sees that increasingly online media currently put forward photojournalism. Photojournalism is used in online media to put forward visual messages as reinforcement of messages from events or events to the public. One of them is Detik.com. Detik.com is a connected media content provider. This research uses qualitative research with a descriptive research type. From the results of research, discussion, and analysis that have been collected, the authors conclude that photojournalists, in carrying out the process of taking journalistic photos, must meet the main components in the news, namely 5W + 1H, by existing and applicable journalistic rules and ethics and use photographic techniques following events or events in the field. In taking photos, photojournalists must follow the guidelines from pre-production to post-production under directions from the leadership until the editorial team approves the photo, visual, or image until the news is uploaded. The role of photojournalists supports the report uploaded by Detik.com. The gatekeeping scheme played by photojournalists is also crucial at three stages, namely the individual level, media routines, and organization, so the news uploaded by Detik.com has high credibility.

Abstract

Background: The development of information technology has transformed rural communities from their traditional focus on local matters to being integrated into the global society. This shift significantly affects media consumption and production and consequently changes the way people interact with one another as they socialize in both real life and cyberspace. Purpose: This study aimed to find out the communication construction of rural communities living in Carangwulung Village, Wonosalam District, Jombang Regency. Methods: By using a phenomenological approach, the researchers revealed the experiences and meanings of individuals in this phenomenon. In-depth interview was the main data collection technique in this study. Results: The results of the study unveiled a transformative shift in the way rural communities interact and communicate, attributable to the pervasive influence of information technology. Historically, rural communities have been characterized by close-knit bonds, where face-to-face interactions in communal gatherings, festivals, and local meetings were the norm. These events often served as both social and informational hubs, fostering a sense of unity, shared identity, and mutual support. Conclusion: As technology permeates every aspect of life in Segunung traditional village, the shift towards virtual interactions is inevitable, impacting the collective nature of the community. Implications: The presence of the internet changes the communication construction of rural communities where life and community activities become easier by living in a world with real reality and part of cyber society.
