Abstract

The souvenir product booth is an important tool that is used to support the smooth running of business activities in public space for traders. The souvenir product booth is used by sellers to display their merchandise to attract visitors to come and do buying and selling activities. This applied research aims to determine the condition of the souvenir merchant product booth at the Sangiran Museum, then analyze and synthesize, then do a new booth redesign that is in accordance to the demands of function, ergonomics, culture and image of Sangiran Museum tourism object. The design of the new booth was made so that it could function properly to support the display of the typical Sangiran products sold. In the end, it was hoped that there would be additional transactions so as to increase the sales turnover of souvenir merchants in Sangiran Museum area. The design is made based on the rules of function, safe and comfortable ergonomically, and has a distinctive character according to the tourist destinations in Sangiran Museum.The object of applied design research is the product stand for souvenir merchants in SangiranMuseu. The method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach supported by quantitative dataor can be called a multiple research strategy. Quantitative data here means using numerical data which is the result of measurement in the field, then compared to the references, resource persons and analyzed based on the researcher interpretation. The design activities begin with product discovery stage to obtain innovative creations in the product design process.The results of applied art / design research are in the form of designs and booths that are in accordance to the rules; functions, ergonomics, beauty and image of Sangiran Museum. The results of the creation of art / design are also expected to provide material for the Interior Design and Furniture Design Courses in Interior Design Study Program, ISI Surakarta.  Keywords  : booth redesign, ergonomics, culture, Sangiran Museum

Abstract

Kaum disabilitas atau difable merupakan salah satu isu masalah diskriminasi yang terjadi dimana-mana. Kaum disabilitas selalu dipandang berbeda, memiliki kekurangan dan mendapat perlakuan diskriminasi sosial dari masyarakat sehingga perilaku yang tercipta bagi penyandang disabilitas cenderung menghindari dunia luar. Hal ini terjadi pada penyandang disabilitas terkhusus tunarungu atau mereka yang senang disebut tuli. Namun saat ini, maraknya pergerakan kesetaraan yang dilakukan oleh kelompok tuli di Indonesia diberbagai bidang seperti olahraga, kesenian dan ketenaga kerjaan, serta melihat besarnya potensi tuli dibidang tersebut khususnya seni. Maka potensi inilah yang menjadi dasar pengabdian kepada masyarakat sebab pentingnya pelatihan keterampilan serta penyaluran pengetahuan terhadap penyandang disabilitas. Adapun upaya yang dilakukan ialah pelatihan paduan suara untuk teman tuli dengan tujuan meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dan penyetaraan kemampuan teman tuli. Karena pada dasarnya timbul ketidakpercayaan diri teman tuli untuk bernyanyi disebabkan dunia mereka tanpa suara tetapi memiliki keinginan untuk bisa setara. Pelatihan ini bekerjasama dengan DPD Gerkatin Sulawesi Selatan yang memiliki tujuan yang sama yaitu kesetaraan dan kesejahteraan untuk tuli. Metode latihan yaitu sosialisasi, pelatihan nafas, dan pengucapan kata secara verbal dan non verbal, tempo serta koreografi. Dengan paduan suara dapat menjadi upaya untuk mengetahui kemampuan dan meningkatkan kepercayaan diri teman tuli serta setara dengan orang normal.Kata kunci: Disabilitas, tuna rungu, paduan suara.

Abstract

Implementasi konsep green design merupakan suatu bentuk penerapan dimana prinsip interior dan arsitekturnya mengedepankan penghijauan dan ramah lingkungan. Green Design menjadi salah satu wujud implementasi konsep pembangunan berkelanjutan memanfaatkan proses ramah lingkungan dan dalam penerapannya mengkonsumsi sumber daya secara efisien sepanjang siklus hidup bangunan tersebut. Penggunaan jenis material juga berpengaruh terhadap bangunan ramah lingkungan untuk meminimalisir adanya dampak negatif yang ditimbulkan dari bangunan tersebut. Bangunan publik yang diteliti adalah Warisan Resort Hotel, yang berlokasi di Jl. Ovensari Raya No.17A, Dusun I, Kadilangu, Kec. Baki, Kabupaten Sukoharjo, Jawa Tengah 57566. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan konsep green design dan jenis material yang digunakan pada Warisan Resort Hotel. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan teori prinsip green design. Sumber data penelitian yang digunakan berupa hasil wawancara dari narasumber, studi pustaka dan studi kasus di lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interior ramah lingkungan yang memperhatikan penggunaan energi dan sumber daya alam yang efektif, dapat membantu memberikan dampak positif bagi pengguna dan lingkungan sekitar. Hal tersebut diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi pembangunan hotel yang mengedepankan pelestarian lingkungan dan efisiensi energi untuk membantu mengurangi dampak negatif yang ditimbulkan dari maraknya pembangunan insfrastruktur yang semakin berkembang.

Abstract

Abstarct. Waste management remains a serious challenge in various regions of Indonesia, including Longkeyang Village, Bodeh District, Pemalang Regency. The low level of public awareness about the importance of environmental preservation, combined with limited education, lack of supporting media, waste processing sites (TPST) and waste banks has worsened the situation. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to empower the community in waste management based on the concept of ecological citizenship, which emphasizes the responsibility of citizens in preserving the environment as part of national character. The program was carried out through three main stages: (1) socialization using a short film titled “Bude Jo, Belajar Kelola Sampah”, produced by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK), as a communicative visual education medium; (2) compost-making training using bokashi (EM4) technology; and (3) installation of environment-themed posters in public spaces as visual reminders. Through an art-based creative approach, this program successfully fostered environmental awareness and caring character, while also opening a dialogue space between art, the community, and environmental issues. The results show increased understanding and active participation of the community in household waste management, making this PKM a concrete step toward building a more sustainable social ecosystem.  Abstrak. Masalah pengelolaan sampah masih menjadi tantangan serius di berbagai wilayah Indonesia, termasuk di Desa Longkeyang, Kecamatan Bodeh, Kabupaten Pemalang. Rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pentingnya menjaga lingkungan, ditambah minimnya edukasi dan media pendukung, serta belum tersedianya TPST dan Bank Sampah di desa tersebut semakin memperparah kondisi tersebut. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan memberdayakan masyarakat dalam pengelolaan sampah berbasis konsep kewarganegaraan ekologis, yang menekankan tanggung jawab warga negara dalam menjaga lingkungan sebagai bagian dari karakter kebangsaan. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui tiga tahapan utama: (1) sosialisasi menggunakan media film pendek “Bude Jo, Belajar Kelola Sampah” produksi KLHK sebagai media edukasi visual yang komunikatif; (2) pelatihan pembuatan kompos dengan teknologi bokashi (EM4); dan (3) pemasangan poster bertema lingkungan sebagai media pengingat visual di ruang publik. Melalui pendekatan kreatif berbasis seni, kegiatan ini menumbuhkan kesadaran dan karakter peduli lingkungan serta membuka ruang dialog antara seni, masyarakat, dan isu lingkungan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan partisipasi aktif masyarakat dalam pengelolaan sampah rumah tangga, menjadikan PKM ini sebagai langkah konkret menuju ekosistem sosial yang lebih berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The Community Partnership Program "Empowerment of UMKM Empowerment of Educational Game Tools Affected by a Pandemic in Wonorejo" aims to increase the competitiveness of fostered partners in facing a wider market. The first partner for this community service activity is UKM APE Otak-atik, this UKM has a segmentation in the general public as well as book and stationery shops located in the Wonorejo area, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java. The potential for developing APE products (Educative Game Tools) is still very wide open. Limited human resource capabilities, business networks, and limitations in the number and type of equipment prevent partners from taking advantage of existing opportunities. After the assistance is given, it is hoped that the partners will be able to become more resilient craftsmen. Partners can develop the design, production, market, and selling value of products, to increase family income, then absorb more labor from the surrounding community. This community service activity was carried out for eight months. Activities carried out in the form of; equipment grants for the use of production equipment with appropriate technology, management training, and online sales training. After getting a touch of good design, good management, modernization of production equipment, promotional media, and online sales, it is expected to be able to increase the competitiveness of partners in facing the free market.

Abstract

This Community-Based Empowerment Scheme community service program seeks to empower MSME groups in Kadipiro Village, Banjarsari District, Surakarta City. The partner of this activity is the PAPINE MAS WIRO MSME Group which engaged in culinary sector, both food and snacks. When it was first established, this group received an enthusiastic response from MSME members and residents. However, its development has declined, so the partner hopes that with this activity the Papine Mas Wiro MSME Group will get a better income. Efforts that were made including design and social media utilization for promotion, online sales as an alternative, designing good packaging, and designing attractive booths to attract visitors in making purchases. The methods used in community service activities are lectures, discussions, training, monitoring, and partner mentoring. Training included creating visual promotional content, creating product promotional videos, and online sales training through the marketplace, as well as copywriter training. The benefits obtained by partners are increased skills, increasing sales turnover and improving the partner's economy. From the implementation of this activity, it was found that: 1) a social media to market Papine Mas Wiro MSME products was established as a means of introducing and marketing products from these MSME actors, and 2) Papine Mas Wiro MSME actors aware of the importance of attractive designs to be uploaded on social media.
