Abstract

Masalah yang sering terjadi pada remaja terutama pada remaja putri yaitu anemia di masa pubertas maka dibutuhkan sumber zat besi dan protein yang lebih banyak. Sumber zat gizi yang diperlukan dalam mencegah anemia dapat ditemukan di Sumatera Selatan, kota Palembang dengan kuliner pempek yang tinggi protein hewani dan sumber zat besi. Kegiatan ini memiliki tujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan serta melakukan pemeriksaan kesehatan pada remaja. Metode yang dilakukan berupa edukasi dan pemeriksaan HB. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Sekolah Inaba Palembang bulan Oktober 2024 berjumlah 34 remaja. Tahapan persiapan, survei lokasi dan penentuan kategori responden yaitu 20 orang remaja putri dan 10 orang remaja putra di kelas XI. Pada pelaksanaan, dilakukan apersepsi sebelum edukasi dan kuesioner pretest, kemudian pengambilan sampel darah untuk pemeriksaan HB diakhiri dengan mengisi kuesioner posttest. Hasil yang didapatkan pada kegiatan ini adalah siswa remaja mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan tentang gizi seimbang remaja dan anemia, kategori baik saat pretest sebesar 11,76 %, pada posttest meningkat menjadi 50% sedangkan pada pemeriksaan hemoglobin ditemukan sebanyak 45% remaja putri dan remaja putra sebanyak 14,28% dengan hasil HB <11 g/dl atau dikategorikan anemia ringan.

Abstract

The Indonesian government has established a Family Planning policy to regulate the distance and age of birth in the hope of reducing the problem of population density which can result in various problems in Indonesia. One type of contraception that is an option is hormonal birth control in the form of injections, both 1-month and 3-month injections. The use of hormonal contraceptives has various risk factors, including weight gain and menstrual cycle disorders. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the relationship between 3-month contraception and body mass index (BMI) and the incidence of amenorrhea. This type of research is an analytical survey with a cross sectional approach. The sample in this study was taken using a purposive sampling technique that was in accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data collection techniques by distributing questionnaires, interviews and measuring weight and height. The analysis used the Chi Square test and obtained a p value of 0.000, OR=15,0 on duration of contraception with Body Mass Index and p value of 0,001, OR=0,20 on amenorrhea. The conclusion of this study shows that there is an effect of the duration of 3 months of contraceptive use on body mass index and amenorrhea. Therefore it is hoped that health workers and acceptors can always communicate, especially regarding the side effects of contraception

Abstract

Adolescent girls are a group that is very vulnerable to infections in the reproductive organs due to lack of knowledge and poor behavior in maintaining personal hygiene during menstruation. Information about the cleanliness of the genitals during menstruation is very important for adolescent girls to know, information can be obtained through parents, peers and teachers at school is very important for building good reproductive health. The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship between information sources and adolescent behavior about personal hygiene (genetalia) during menstruation. The type of research conducted is a quantitative analytical survey method with a cross sectional approach. This research will be conducted in July-September 2022 with a population of all students in class XI Science at MAN I Palembang with sampling using purposive sampling techniques. The data collection technique using questionnaires and data was analyzed using the Chi Square statistical test. Based on the results of the analysis, it was shown that out of 35 people, 56.4% had positive personal hygiene behavior, while from 57 people who received indirect information, 89.2% had negative personal hygiene behavior. The results of the Chi Square analysis test obtained a p value = 0.000 (< 0.05) showing that there was a significant relationship between information sources and adolescent girls' behavior about personal hygiene (genetalia) during menstruation. Based on the results of this study, it is suggested that schools can create innovative programs as an effort that can be made for adolescent reproductive health.
