Menarche, which is often known as the beginning of maturity in girls, is usually characterized by the start of the first menstruation. Normally, the menstrual cycle proceeds regularly. Teenager who are never been informed about menstruation and reproductive health could experience anxiety when facing menarche. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between knowledge and the anxiety level of girls aged 10-13 in facing menarche in RW 02 Sidomulyo Village, Semen District, Kediri Regency. The research used a correlation design with a cross-sectional approach. The population of this study was young women aged 10-13 years in RW 02 Sidomulyo Village, Semen District, Kediri Regency, which amounted to 30 respondents. The data then analyzed using the Spearman Rho test. The study result showed that among 30 respondents studied, most of the respondents have enough knowledge (19 respondents; 63.3%); while about the anxiety level, most of them have mild anxiety (12 respondents; 40%). The results of the Spearman Rho test with α=0.05 obtained the p-value=0.031 (< 0.05), it is indicated that there is a correlation between knowledge and the level of anxiety of young women aged 10-13 in facing menarche. Based on the results of the study, information about menstruation should be improved by counseling, so that young women can face menarche without excessive anxiety.

The results of the research showed that most respondents were well informed (14 respondents; 46.7%), and most respondents had a positive attitude towards the complementary feeding (21 respondents; 70%). The results of the chi square test obtained the p-value=0.000 (< 0.05), it means there is a relationship between knowledge and the attitude of mothers of 6-12 months infants in giving MP-ASI. Based on the results of the study, information about complementary foods for breast milk should be further improved by counseling, either from cadres or health workers, so that mothers will increase in their knowledge and have a positive attitude in giving complementary foods for breast milk.

Abstract

Baby massage is skin contact through the touch and affection of parents aimed at enhancing physical and psychological contact between the mother and the baby. Baby massage touch will stimulate the production of beta-endorphin hormones which will aid growth mechanisms and stimulate the production of oxytocin hormones while reducing the production of cortisol hormones, allowing babies and toddlers to become relaxed and calm, thus optimizing their development. The purpose of this research is to understand the knowledge of mothers of infants aged 0-1 years about baby massage. The research design used is descriptive with a Cross Sectional approach. The population in this study consists of all mothers of infants aged 0-1 years at the Posyandu RW 02 Sidomulyo Village, Semen District, Kediri Regency, totaling 26 respondents using total sampling. The research variable is the knowledge of mothers of infants aged 0-1 year about baby massage. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire, data processing involved editing, coding, scoring, tabulating, and presenting. The research results show that out of 26 respondents surveyed, the majority of respondents had sufficient knowledge, with 14 respondents (53.85%), good knowledge with 8 respondents (30.77%), and a small portion with inadequate knowledge, totaling 4 respondents (15.38%). Based on the research results above, it is expected to improve the knowledge of mothers of infants from sufficient knowledge to good knowledge. Therefore, it is necessary to provide counseling from healthcare professionals about the importance of baby massage in supporting the growth and development of infants to mothers in their productive age.

Abstract

Drug-resistant tuberculosis (DR-TB) or drug resistance is a condition where TB germs can no longer be killed with first-line anti-tuberculosis drugs (OAT), so they must be treated with second-line OAT (Drug-resistant TB Patient Pocket Book, 2020). Drug-resistant tuberculosis (DR-TB) is still a threat in TB control and is one of the main public health problems in many countries in the world. The data collection technique in this activity was through a questionnaire survey given before and after the presentation of the material on Assisting Drug-resistant TB Patients. The sample was 46 participants who were TB Cadres from each Sub-district throughout Kediri City. The data analysis used in this activity by measuring the correct and incorrect answers between the pre- and posttests that had been filled out by the training participants. The results of the questionnaire filled out by the activity participants showed an increase in knowledge about Assisting Drug-resistant TB Patients Since being diagnosed. The success of drug-resistant TB treatment is also inseparable from the important role of the family, health workers, and patient companions who always support patients to undergo DR-TB treatment until completion. Effective assistance will affect the success of treatment, the patient's quality of life, and reduce the risk of transmission of drug-resistant TB in the community.

Abstract

Background: Immunization is a program that babies need for the present and future to avoid certain diseases. Efforts to reduce morbidity and mortality rates in children include immunization. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and maternal attitudes in providing basic immunization to infants aged 0-12 months. Methods: The research method used correlation with the cross sectional approach. The population of this study was all mothers who had babies aged 0-12 months at Posyandu Tirtomulyo, Joho Village, Wates District, Kediri Regency as many as 37 respondents. The sample taken in this study was 32 respondents. Sampling technique with accidental sampling. Data collection using questionnaires, data processing, editing, coding, scoring and tabulating. Data analysis using Chi-Square. Result: The results of the study from 32 respondents, most of the respondents were well knowledgeable as many as 14 respondents (43.8%), knowledgeable enough as many as 10 respondents (31.2%) and less knowledgeable as many as 8 respondents (25%), while for maternal attitudes in providing basic immunization with positive attitude categories as many as 23 respondents (71.9%) and negative attitudes as many as 9 respondents (28.1%). From the Chi-Square analyst test, it shows p value = 0.000 (p value < 0.05), then H1 is accepted, H0 is rejected, meaning that there is a relationship between knowledge and maternal attitudes in providing basic immunization to infants aged 0-12 months. Discussion: It can be concluded that there is a relationship between knowledge and maternal attitudes in providing basic immunization to infants aged 0-12 months. To further increase the knowledge of mothers of infants who are still lacking about the importance of basic immunization, it is recommended that the government through health workers provide health education to mothers to be positive about basic immunization. So it is expected to achieve complete basic immunization coverage for each child.
