Abstract

Fatty liver is an accumulation of lipid drops exceeding 5% of the total amount of liver, which can increase the risk of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). NAFLD is associated with dyslipidemia, which the treatments for both condition are in common. Jati Belanda leaves, Kemuning leaves, Murbei leaves and Bangle rhizome (JKMB) are often used alone or in combination to improve dyslipidemia, but their effect on the liver is unknown. This study used an experimental post test control group method where 25 rats were acclimatized for 2 weeks. After that, the rats were divided into 5 groups including KN : normal feed, KP : DTLM feed, D1 : DTLM+ JKMB extract dose 189 mg/200gbb, D2 : DTLM+ JKMB extract dose 378 mg/200gbb, D3 : DTLM+ JKMB extract dose 756 mg /200gbb and treated for 12 weeks. JKMB extract was obtained in a ratio of 8: 3: 3: 7. After that, the rats were sacrificed and the liver tissue was stained with Hematoxylin-Eosin staining. HE preparations were performed to calculate the percentage of liver fat at 400x magnification with 5 fields of view per slide. The results of the normality (0.200> 0.05) and homogeneity test (0.558> 0.05) were found to be normal. The ANOVA test was found to be significantly different (0.000< 0.05). The Post Hoc test found that the negative control was significantly different from the positive control (0.000 < 0.05). Positive control did not differ significantly with treatment doses D1 (0.094>0.05), D2 (0.186>0.05) and D3 (0.734>0.05). From the results of the research above, it can be concluded that the combination of extracts of Jati Belanda leaves, Kemuning leaves, Murbei leaves and Bangle rhizome extracts could not reduce the percentage of fatty liver.

Abstract

Complementary foods for breast milk (MP-ASI) are foods or drinks that contain nutrients given to infants or children aged 6-24 months to meet nutritional needs other than breast milk. The state of malnutrition in infants and children is caused by improper breastfeeding habits and maternal ignorance about the benefits and correct ways of giving MP-ASI so that it affects the mother's attitude in giving MP-ASI. The study aims at  determine the relationship between knowledge and the attitude of mothers of mother of 6-12 months infants in Sidomulyo Village, Semen District, Kediri Regency. The research used a correlational design with a cross sectional approach. The sample of this study were 30 mothers of infants aged 6-12 months. Purposive sampling technique was used in this study. This study used knowledge and attitude questionnaires. The data obtained was then analyzed using chi square test. The results of the research showed that most respondents were well informed (14 respondents; 46.7%), and most respondents had a positive attitude towards the complementary feeding (21 respondents; 70%). The results of the chi square test obtained the p-value=0.000 (< 0.05), it means there is a relationship between knowledge and the attitude of mothers of 6-12 months infants in giving MP-ASI. Based on the results of the study, information about complementary foods for breast milk should be further improved by counseling, either from cadres or health workers, so that mothers will increase in their knowledge and have a positive attitude in giving complementary foods for breast milk.

Abstract

Metabolic syndrome (MetS) and diabetes mellitus (DM) have become primary concerns worldwide, especially among the younger population. The Indonesian Boarding School model (IBS/Boarding School) is a large education system with a significant number of pupils (teenagers) and has the potential to become a center for metabolic disease, particularly among teenagers, due to their daily intake. This study aimed to provide a baseline screening for MetS and the risk of DM development in Boarding School teenagers. During this observational study, 90 healthy serological samples were obtained from senior and junior high school students. The circulating level of betatrophin was measured using a human betatrophin ELISA kit. Additionally, metabolic syndrome and DM screening data were analyzed using a rapid reverse-flow immunochromatography kit for 65 kDa glutamic acid decarboxylase (GAD65). Among the 90 healthy students, a high prevalence of GAD65 was observed, indicating a potential risk factor for metabolic diseases. Furthermore, higher serum betatrophin levels were observed in the samples. The circulating level of betatrophin was found to have a significant correlation with age, gender, body mass index (BMI), systolic blood pressure (SBP), fasting blood glucose (FBG), sleeping duration, and duration of stay at Boarding School (p < 0.05). Betatrophin emerged as a potential predictor of BMI, SBP, and FBG in students (p < 0.05). Both betatrophin and GAD65 have shown promise as future biomarkers, opening up a new avenue for assessing metabolic syndrome and the risk of DM. This underscores the importance of future programs in Boarding Schools focusing on MetS and DM prevention management, making the audience feel the significance of their work in addressing these pressing health issues.

Abstract

Patients who choose to carry out examinations and treatment with an outpatient model without staying at hospitals and health service clinics are increasing for various reasons and the busyness of the patient in question. Clinics and hospitals are still able to survive and operate because they are still needed by patients who require both outpatient and inpatient services. Many clinics and hospitals in various countries still have not implemented an outpatient queue data processing system with an adequate system so there are many patients who have registered to be examined but do not come for various reasons which is a loss for the nurses and doctors on duty at the hospital. that day. This incident is certainly detrimental to clinics and hospitals because data processing is still manual, so it is impossible to predict how many patients will visit the clinic for check-ups. One solution that is still wide open for managing visiting patient data both for outpatient and inpatient treatment is to use big data. The method to be used in data mining is a Decision Tree classification with Adaboost and Random Undersampling. With the Decision Tree classification with Adaboost and Random Undersampling, good predictions will be produced so that they can help in making a decision.
