Abstract

Workplace Incivility is a common phenomenon in workplaces in many organisation. Understanding the concept of workplace incivility to hospital managers and other health care organizations. The necessary antecedent of workplace incivility consisted of the presence of two or more people, with one or more as the source of the incivility, and another or others as its target in the workplace. This study aimed to understand the effect of experienced incivility from nurse’s supervisor and coworker in hospital. Its also try to figure out instigated incivility pattern in daily level. The methodology to analyze is diary study between 3 days on 102 nurses ini Sumatra, Indonesia. Results of this study indicate a differences in the effect of experienced incivility on instigated incivility in terms of measurements per days. Simultaneously experienced incivility by supervisors and coworkers has an influence on instigated incivility in the first day, and second day from suprevisor incivility, but on experienced incivility from coworkers influenced in second day, and third day to instigated incivility.

Abstract

Workplace Incivility is a common phenomenon in many organizations workplaces. The necessary antecedent of workplace incivility consisted of the presence of two or more people, with one or more as the source of the incivility, and another or others as its target in the workplace. Understanding the concept of workplace incivility to hospital managers and other health care organizations are very important for organizational development. This study aimed to understand the effect of experienced incivility from the nurse’s supervisor and coworker in the hospital. Including sacrificing the psychological well-being of workers to experience psychological stress. This psychological pressure can be stress, job dissatisfaction and can have a high level of burnout. The methodology to analyze is a diary study between 3 days on 102 nurses in Sumatra, Indonesia. The results of this study indicate that the psychological stress variable is not a variable between the experience of getting unpleasant treatment from superiors or work colleagues towards the emergence of impolite and intentional rude behavior.

Abstract

This study aimed to examined the effectiveness of Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) for Healing to reduce the diabetes distress levels in people with diabetes mellitus at productive age. Participant in this study were 12 people, 33-61 years old male and female with moderate and high levels of diabetes distress as measured with diabetes distress scale/ DDS17. This research design was an experimental pre-post-test control group design with exeperimental group and control group. The data analysis technique used in this study was statistical analysis with the Wilcoxon sign rank test and the Mann whitney U-test. The results of the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test showed a significance value of p= 0.028 (p 0.05) and was strengthened by the results of the Mann Whitney U-Test with a significance value of p= 0.004 (p 0.05) and a decrease in the value of x̅ = 63.33 to x̅ = 20.33, which means there is a significant difference in the level of diabetes distress in people with diabetes mellitus at productive age before and after being given the SEFT for Healing intervention. These results indicate that SEFT for Healing can reduce the level of diabetes distress and the hypothesis is accepted. SEFT for healing is proven effective and can be used as one of the therapy to reduce the distress in people with diabetes.

Abstract

Mahasiswa yang berasal dari keluarga broken home cenderung mengalami permasalahan yang beragam, baik pada kehidupan maupun pada bidang akademik. Risiko dari permasalahan tersebut menyebabkan mahasiswa broken home sering merasa kesepian dan memerlukan perhatian lebih, dikarenakan adanya risiko permasalahan yang dapat berujung pada depresi hingga ide bunuh diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kesepian dengan ide bunuh diri pada mahasiswa broken home. Metode penelitian dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan positif antara kesepian dengan ide bunuh diri pada mahasiswa broken home. Menggunakan subjek penelitian yaitu 107 mahasiswa broken home dengan rentang usia 18-25 tahun. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu Purposive Sampling. Skala yang digunakan adalah Scale for Suicide Ideation (SSI) dan UCLA Loneliness Scale (Version 3). Menggunakan teknik analisis data korelasi product moment dengan hasil analisis data diperoleh koefisien korelasi (rxy) = 0,303 dengan p = 0,002 (p = < 0,050) yang diartikan bahwa hipotesis yang dalam penelitian ini diterima, yaitu terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kesepian dengan ide bunuh diri pada mahasiswa broken home. Didapatkan koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,092 yang berarti variabel kesepian berkontribusi sebesar 9,2% terhadap ide bunuh diri dan sisanya sebesar 90,8% dipengaruhi variabel eksternal. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan acuan untuk mengetahui tingkat ide bunuh diri dan dapat dijadikan acuan untuk meningkatkan kesehatan mental pada mahasiswa broken home, serta digunakan oleh tenaga profesional dan lembaga pendidikan untuk merancang program pendampingan dan intervensi yang tepat guna mencegah risiko tersebut. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan positif antara mawadah dan rahmah dengan identity achievement  pada remaja akhir. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA Negeri di Lubuk Linggau sebanyak 125 orang. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Skala Mawadah dan Rahmah yang dibuat oleh peneliti dengan mengacu pada aspek-aspek yang dikemukakan oleh Shihab (2007) dan Skala Identity Achievement  Pada Remaja Akhir dengan mengacu pada aspek-aspek yang dikemukakan oleh Marcia (dalam Sprinthall dan Collins, 1995), Metode analisis data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis korelasi parsial  dan uji regresi ganda dengan menggunakan fasilitas program SPSS versi 13,0 untuk menguji apakah terdapat hubungan antara peran mawaddah dan rahmah dengan identity achievement  pada remaja akhir. Hasil uji hipotesis a) peran mawaddah identity achievement diperoleh koefisien korelasi sebesar r=  0,346 dengan p = 0,000 (p < 0,01)  yang artinya ada korelasi positif  antara mawadah dengan identity achievement  pada remaja akhir; b) peran rahmah dengan identity achievement diperoleh koefisien korelasi sebesar r= 0,461 dengan p= 0,000 (p < 0,01) yang artinya ada korelasi positif antara rahmah dengan identity achievement ; c) sedangkan peran mawaddan dan rahmah identity achievement diperoleh koefisien korelasi r=0,692 dengan p = 0,000 (p < 0,01) yang artinya mawadah dan rahmah mempunyai korelasi yang sangat positif dengan identity achievement.
