Abstract

Intention to act and environmental issues knowledge has been assumed as the two variables which affect people?s environmental behavior. This study aimed at determining the correlations between variables (i.e. intention to act, environmental issues knowledge, and environmental behavior) on biology teachers in State High Schools of Pandeglang Regency. This survey research used quantitative approach. The sample was 51 teachers chosen using simple random sampling.  Meanwhile, the population was 61 teachers in State High Schools of Pandeglang Regency. The data gained were analyzed using path analysis. The results showed that environmental knowledge gives direct impact on environmental behavior with coefficient value was 0.472. The same phenomena were also occurred in the intention to act towards the teachers? environmental behavior (0.508). In addition, the intention to act was directly influenced by environmental knowledge (0.364), while the environmental behavior was indirectly affected by environmental knowledge (0.185). Thus, the findings of this study can be basic information to determine the most proper strategy to cultivate a good environmental behavior.

Abstract

The failure of the roll during the rolling process causes cobble to lose production time for several hours. Investigations include visual inspection, lltrasonic test, chemical analysis, metallography, and hardness measurement. Stand finishing F1-F4 uses High Chrome (HCr) material type, while Stand F5-F6 uses ICDP material type. Spalling work roll occurs on stand F5 with Roll Top position. Roll was chipped between shell and core with an exfoliation percentage of 30% of the roll surface area. Visually, the chipped part looks smooth and even. Thus no typical sign of fatigue or brittle failure was observed. The chemical composition of the roll conforms to the standard. Roll surface hardness that does not experience spalling follows the standard. The metallography analysis found micro-cracks in the spalled samples and inclusions in the form of scale in the shell-core interface. Based on the study, it can be concluded that the spalling roll is caused by poor bonding of the shell and core on the roll.

Abstract

Bagaimana Pandangan Islam Tentang Kesetaraan Gender (Perspektif Kemanusiaan)? Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif, menggunakan studi pustaka melalui buku, jurnal dan makalah yang berkaitan dengan penelitian. Manusia pada dasarnya adalah pelayan, dan tidak ada perbedaan antara pria dan wanita yang melakukan banyak tindakan baik untuk mereka, terlepas dari jenis kelamin mereka. Ada potensi dan kemungkinan yang sama bagi keduanya untuk menjadi hamba Tuhan yang ideal. Selain menjadi hamba yang penurut dan taat yang takut kepada Allah, maksud dan tujuan keberadaan umat manusia di bumi adalah agar mereka menjadi khalifah di bumi. Laki-laki dan perempuan memiliki kewajiban yang berbeda sesuai dengan kodrat masing-masing dalam keyakinan Islam. Selama pria dan wanita mempertahankan fitrah ini, mereka memiliki kesempatan yang sama untuk memiliki kehidupan penuh dalam pendidikan, sosial-masyarakat, politik, seni, dll. Sejumlah hadits Nabi yang memuji perempuan menunjukkan bahwa Islam adalah agama yang mengedepankan martabat dan nilai perempuan. Menjadi manusia tidaklah mudah, tetapi akan bodoh untuk membiarkan tantangan-tantangan ini membahayakan kehormatan kita. Secara khusus, saat menghadapi fenomena menolak perbedaan manusia, yang mengunci masyarakat dalam stigma ketidaksetaraan gender. Pria dan wanita menyadari bahwa mereka berdua adalah manusia, sebagaimana mestinya.
