Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate and quantify the impact of exercise on insulin and glucagon levels. Employing a systematic approach, this research delves into various journal databases including Embase, PubMed, Web of Science, and Scopus. Criteria for inclusion in this study encompass articles on physical activity, insulin, glucagon, their mechanisms, and publications from the past five years. Only articles from anonymous journals are considered for inclusion. A total of 12,380 articles were identified from Embase, Web of Science, PubMed, and Scopus databases. Approximately ten articles meeting the criteria for this systematic review were thoroughly examined and analyzed. The study adhered to the reporting guidelines outlined in the PRISMA checklist for Systematic and Meta-Analysis. Findings from this systematic review analysis reveal a decrease in insulin secretion and an increase in glucagon production following physical exercise. This is associated with enhanced insulin sensitivity and increased glucose absorption by glucagon post-exercise. Incorporating physical exercise into one's routine is recommended as a proactive measure to enhance insulin sensitivity, elevate glucagon levels, promote glucose synthesis, mitigate energy imbalances, and uphold overall health.

Abstract

The aims of this research include 1) to find out the physical fitness level of Phase D students at SMPN 2 Tugu; 2) to find out the results of the assessment of the physical fitness learning objectives of Phase D students at SMPN 2 Tugu; 3) to find out what the percentage of completion is and how to follow up on the results of the assessment of the physical fitness learning objectives of Phase D students at SMPN 2 Tugu. This research is quantitative research with descriptive methods. The sample for this research is phase D students at SMPN 2 Tugu. The sample for this research was determined using a purposive sampling technique so that the research sample totaled 503 students. Meanwhile, the analysis technique uses descriptive statistics. The conclusions in this research include that the physical fitness level of phase D students at SMPN 2 Tugu is mostly categorized as poor because students do not understand the importance of physical fitness in daily activities. The results of the assessment of physical fitness learning objectives carried out for the most part have not achieved completeness. Completeness in assessing learning objectives depends on the value interval determined by the teacher or educational unit. The results of completing learning objectives as a follow-up process to improve the learning process and evaluate learning objectives.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to increase the economic value of bamboo shoots (rebung) by training the community of Masaran Village to produce candied bamboo shoots as a distinctive local product. The activity focused on empowering housewives with unused time to become productive contributors to their household economy. The methods involved five main stages: planning, preparation, implementation, evaluation, and reporting. The implementation phase included theoretical and practical training on the selection of raw materials, processing techniques, packaging, and marketing strategies. Through interactive discussions and demonstrations, participants were equipped to transform bamboo shoots-previously sold cheaply or underutilized-into high-value products. The results showed that the participants gained new skills in food processing and entrepreneurship. Several participants expressed interest in continuing production and expanding sales through local stores and digital platforms. The initiative successfully led to the creation of a small-scale industry of candied bamboo shoots in the village. It also increased community awareness of local resource potential and strengthened women's roles in household economic development. In conclusion, the program enhanced economic resilience through local food innovation and is expected to contribute to long-term sustainable development in Masaran Village.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing traditional games on the basic motor skills of phase A students at SDN 2 Buluagung, Karangan District, Trenggalek Regency. This study was motivated by the importance of learning Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) in improving motor skills, physical fitness, and character of students through physical activities. The results showed that the basic motor skills of phase A students increased significantly after the implementation of traditional games. In the pre-test, 17 students were in the very low category with the smallest motor quotient score of 46 and the largest 67. In the post-test, basic motor skills increased with 12 students in the average category, 4 in the above average category, and 1 in the below average category, with the smallest motor quotient score of 79 and the largest 106. The normality test showed that the data was not normally distributed, so the analysis was carried out using a non-parametric test. The results of the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test showed an increase in the basic motor skills of students after being given treatment. After being calculated using the N-Gain formula, the effectiveness of the implementation of traditional games reached a score of 90.76%, with a minimum value of 61.11 and a maximum value of 114.29. This study concludes that the implementation of traditional games has an effect and is effective in improving the basic motor skills of phase A students at SDN 2 Buluagung. In addition, this study contributes to the preservation of traditional games and offers an alternative method of learning PJOK that is interesting and effective.

Abstract

Background of Study: The low agility of students in Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) learning is often caused by conventional methods that lack variation and do not optimize traditional games. Rangku Alu, a rhythmic movement game involving agility, coordination, and quick direction changes, aligns with PJOK learning goals and helps preserve local culture. Aims and Scope of Paper: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the traditional Rangku Alu game in improving the agility of fifth-grade elementary school students and to propose it as an alternative, fun, interactive, and culturally relevant PJOK learning method. Methods: A quantitative experimental approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design was applied to 11 fifth-grade students at SDN 3 Sumberdadi. Agility was measured using the Hexagon Drill Test before and after eight PJOK sessions integrating Rangku Alu. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Paired Sample t-Test, and N-Gain test. Result: The average pretest time decreased from 14.30 seconds to 11.90 seconds in the posttest. The t-test yielded a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), and the N-Gain average was 65%, indicating moderate effectiveness. Conclusion: The Rangku Alu game significantly improves students’ agility and can serve as an effective, enjoyable, and culturally based alternative in PJOK learning. It also supports cultural preservation in the school environment while promoting active participation and holistic physical development.

Abstract

Background of study: Interval training is a form of physical activity that involves alternating periods of high and low intensity training to improve speed, strength, and endurance. The primary challenge for most futsal players is their physical condition, particularly cardiovascular endurance and agility. This study aims to determine the effect of interval training on cardiovascular endurance and agility, as well as the relationship between endurance and agility. The scope of this study is the futsal extracurricular activity at State Vocational High School 1 Trenggalek. Methods: This research employed a quantitative and experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 20 students, using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection for cardiovascular endurance was conducted using a multistage fitness test, and data collection for agility using a zigzag run test. Data analysis used inferential statistics. Result: The results of this study indicate the effect of interval training on students' cardiovascular endurance and agility, as evidenced by the significant difference in students' cardiovascular endurance and agility before and after training, which is reinforced by a p value of 0.000 < 0.05. In addition, it also shows the influence of cardiovascular endurance on students' agility with a p value of 0.000 < 0.005. Conclusion: This study concludes that interval training can be used to improve cardiovascular endurance and agility in futsal. Furthermore, the better the cardiovascular endurance, the more positive the impact on agility.
