Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Metaphorical Reality group counseling to improve self-esteem in vocational students with nomophobic symptoms. This study used a Pretest-Posttest Random Control Group design involving 14 students selected by purposive sampling grouped into two randomly 7 people for each group. Data collection was performed using the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) and Nomophobia Questionnaire (NMP-Q). Mann-Withney U and Wilcoxon test results showed that the metaphorical reality engineering intervention group increased self-esteem in students with nomophobic symptoms, Z = -2.375, p < 0.05. This finding proves that metaphorical group reality counseling is effective for increasing self-esteem in students who experience symptoms of nomophobia.

Abstract

The feelings, emotions, and pleasant energies that a person often experiences are the feelings that result from a happy mood, which is also associated with an increase in the joy of life for each individual. Few people can use their circumstances to generate good energy and work towards happiness, on the contrary, they prefer to be passive in an effort to improve the quality of their happiness. People feel that happiness is real and needs to be embodied as a source of inner strength when they see it as the primary means of navigating life. In essence, humans are creatures with basic needs in life that they want to meet, one of which is the need for pleasure. The background of the problem here is that some people are unable to meet their need for happiness. This reality-based approach is an intervention that helps people achieve their happiness goals. The goal of reality therapy is to enable people in the early stages of adulthood to meet their basic needs and live a happy life.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sejauh mana penerapan Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) dapat membantu mengatasi prokrastinasi akademik pada generasi strawberry, yaitu kelompok mahasiswa yang dikenal dengan karakteristik mudah merasa tertekan dan cenderung menghindari tantangan. SRL merupakan pendekatan pembelajaran yang menekankan pada kemampuan individu untuk mengatur proses belajarnya secara mandiri, mulai dari perencanaan hingga evaluasi hasil. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif korelasional. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala psikologi berbasis Likert untuk mengukur tingkat prokrastinasi akademik dan kemampuan regulasi diri, dengan responden sebanyak 30 mahasiswa semester 3 dan 5 dari Program Studi Bimbingan dan Konseling Universitas Moch. Sroedji Jember. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat prokrastinasi akademik pada generasi strawberry memiliki distribusi normal berdasarkan uji Kolmogorov-Smirnov. Selain itu, terdapat hubungan signifikan antara kemampuan SRL dan tingkat prokrastinasi akademik, di mana mahasiswa dengan kemampuan regulasi diri yang lebih baik cenderung memiliki tingkat prokrastinasi yang lebih rendah. Strategi SRL, seperti forethought, performance, dan self-reflection, terbukti relevan dalam membantu mahasiswa menetapkan tujuan belajar, mengelola waktu secara efektif, serta mengatasi hambatan psikologis seperti rasa malas dan kecemasan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan institusi pendidikan untuk mengintegrasikan pelatihan SRL ke dalam program bimbingan akademik guna meningkatkan kemampuan regulasi diri mahasiswa. Pendekatan ini tidak hanya bermanfaat untuk mengurangi tingkat prokrastinasi akademik, tetapi juga membangun kemandirian, ketahanan akademik, dan kesiapan mahasiswa dalam menghadapi tantangan pembelajaran modern.
