Abstract

This research aims to find out and describe the Mentoring Class program and its impact on increasing students' self-esteem at SMP Bumi Cendekia Yogyakarta. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observation and documentation. The results of the research show that Mentoring Class program at SMP Bumi Cendekia Yogyakarta has positive impacts on strengthening students' self-esteem. The themes and material presented also reflect the three main aspects of self-esteem, namely performance, social and physical self-esteem. Aspects of performance and physical self-esteem are reflected in material related to self-love. In addition, the social aspect of self-esteem is reflected in material that discusses boundaries in joking, bullying, friendship relations, etc. Mentoring Class program provides students a sense of security and comfort to speak up or convey their problems to the mentor which ultimately leads to increase self-confidence, independence, self-acceptance, and respect for others.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the background and implementation of the integration of school curriculum and pesantren curriculum at SDIT VIP Al-Huda. This research is a type of qualitative research, taking the background of SDIT VIP Al-Huda. Data collection was taken by observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. Data validity analysis is carried out by triangulation techniques Data analysis is carried out by selecting and compiling the data obtained, then processed and analyzed so that conclusions can be drawn. The results of this study are: 1. The background of the use of the integration of school curriculum and pesantren curriculum at SDIT VIP Al-Huda, namely facing a moral crisis and westernized Indonesian society and religious materials in public schools are very minimal. 2. Implementation of school curriculum and pesantren curriculum at SDIT VIP Al-Huda, namely: a) teachers analyze the material then determine learning methods b) Implementation of learning methods, namely the principal and waka curriculum and the foundation monitors all teacher performance. c) Evaluation of the learning methods of the foundation and the principal will evaluate based on what has been controlled and supervised together. d) Follow-up problems related to learning methods, namely the existence of a shift system, curriculum waka and the principal evaluates learning tools, learning methods, schedules, synchronizes time, receives input, creates a conducive work situation, provides teacher learning resources and facilitates all teacher needs, and familiarizes a culture of discipline.

Abstract

Indonesian religious expressions are facing an extraordinary challenge with the emergence of fundamentalist movements affiliated with number of Islamic transnationalist from Middle East, which is rigidly establishing the ideology of "purification" or as so called Islam Kaffah even if to be forced to the all nation. In this Case, Gus Dur presented another alternative religious pattern by promoting the idea of Islam Pribumi or “Islam Pribumi” which mean to respon and againts this scripturalist-fundamentalist movement. Islam Pribumi is intended to provide opportunities for the diversity of interpretations in term of practicing religious life (Islam) in each different region. Thus, Islam is no longer seen as a single, but rather compound. So there is no longer an assumption that Islam in the Middle East is the best representative of Islam. Therefore, this paper attempts to examine Gus Dur's thoughts on Islam Pribumi which is definitly inclusive, tolerant and peaceful Islamic culture, relflecting Islam as rahmatal lil alamin. It is also to offer a model of Islamic Moderation provided a solution in realizing global peace against conflicts between religions and politics that has occurred most recently in a Muslim-majority country like Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Yemen.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the strategies and efforts of tahfidz teachers in improving the quality of Al-Quran memorization of students at the Al-Ihsan Wat Taqwa Kebumen Tahfidz Boarding School. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews with tahfidz teachers, and documentation. The subjects in this study were the tahfidz Coordinator, tahfidz teachers and several students at the Al-Ihsan Wat Taqwa Kebumen Tahfidz Boarding School. Meanwhile, data analysis uses interactive analysis by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that tahfidz teachers at the Al-Ihsan Wat Taqwa Tahfidz Boarding School apply various strategies, such as the use of the talaqqi method (direct reading), muraja'ah (memorization repetition), dividing memorization groups (halaqah), providing motivation and rewards and holding weekly evaluations carried out by all tahfidz teachers together with caregivers. In addition, supporting factors such as discipline, religious environment, and cooperation between teachers, students, and parents also influence the improvement of memorization quality. The obstacles faced include differences in individual student abilities, fatigue, and concentration disorders, but these are overcome with a personalized learning approach and intensive mentoring. This study provides an overview of the real practice of tahfidz learning which can be a reference for similar educational institutions in optimizing the Al-Quran memorization program.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi dan upaya guru tahfidz dalam meningkatkan kualitas hafalan Al-Quran santri di Pondok Tahfidz Al-Ihsan Wat Taqwa Kebumen. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam dengan guru tahfidz, dan dokumentasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah Koordinator tahfidz, guru-guru tahfidz dan beberapa santri di Pondok Tahfidz Al-Ihsan Wat Taqwa Kebumen. Sementara analisis data menggunakan analisis interaktif dengan cara pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru tahfidz di Pondok Tahfidz Al-Ihsan Wat Taqwa menerapkan berbagai strategi, seperti penggunaan metode talaqqi (pembacaan langsung), muraja'ah (pengulangan hafalan), pembagian kelompok hafalan (halaqah), pemberian motivasi dan reward serta diadakannya evaluasi mingguan yang dilakukan oleh semua guru tahfidz bersama pengasuh. Selain itu, faktor pendukung seperti kedisiplinan, lingkungan religius, dan kerja sama antara guru, santri, dan orang tua turut berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kualitas hafalan. Kendala yang dihadapi meliputi perbedaan kemampuan individu santri, kelelahan, dan gangguan konsentrasi, namun hal tersebut diatasi dengan pendekatan personalisasi pembelajaran dan pendampingan intensif. Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran tentang praktik nyata pembelajaran tahfidz yang dapat menjadi referensi bagi lembaga pendidikan sejenis dalam mengoptimalkan program penghafalan Al-Quran.
