Abstract

This study aims to analyze differences in students' character achievement based on gender in the context of Pancasila Student Profile character education. Using a quantitative approach with a survey method, this study involved 472 students from several high schools in Wonosobo Regency, Central Java. Data were collected through a questionnaire that measured six main character dimensions: faith and devotion to God Almighty, global diversity, cooperation, independence, critical reasoning, and creativity. The results of the analysis showed that female students had higher character achievements in faith, cooperation, and critical reasoning. At the same time, in the aspects of global diversity and independence, there were no significant differences between genders. In addition, the creative character showed a varied distribution of values without significant differences. These findings emphasize the importance of a more adaptive and gender-based character education strategy to improve students' character achievement evenly.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of reward on students’ learning motivation in Akidah Akhlak at MAN 2 Kota Palu. Low learning motivation among students has been identified as a challenge that can hinder their academic achievement and engagement in religious education. Therefore, this research aims to determine whether the implementation of reward significantly enhances students’ learning motivation. A quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design was employed. The sample consisted of 91 students from three classes. Data were collected using a learning motivation questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The normality of the data was assessed using the Shapiro–Wilk test, and differences between pretest and posttest scores were analyzed using the Paired Samples T-Test. The findings revealed an increase in the mean learning motivation score from 29.4 in the pretest to 34.2 in the posttest. The Paired Samples T-Test indicated a significant difference with t(90) = -14.40, p < 0.001, while the effect size, measured by Cohen’s d = 1.51, demonstrated a very large effect. These results confirm that reward is an effective strategy to improve students’ learning motivation in Akidah Akhlak, suggesting that the integration of reward-based interventions can positively influence students’ engagement and performance in religious education settings.

Abstract

This study aims to identify publication trends, key actors, thematic focuses, and research gaps in Islamic Education in Indonesia for the 2014–2025 period through a bibliometric approach. Using the PRISMA protocol, data were retrieved from Scopus using relevant keywords and analyzed with VOSviewer. Of the 884 initial documents, 380 documents were filtered that met the analysis criteria. The results show a sharp increase in publications since 2019, in line with the internationalization policy of higher Education and the accelerated adoption of digital learning technologies. The most influential authors are Zalik Nuryana and Suyadi, while the Journal of Islamic Education and Cogent Education are the publication channels with the highest impact. International collaborations are dominated by partnerships between Indonesia and Malaysia, with involvement from Australia, Brunei Darussalam, and China. Keyword analysis shows the dominance of the themes of Islamic Education, Religious Moderation, and Islamic Boarding Schools, with the emergence of new themes such as digital learning, gender equality, and multicultural Education. The mapping also identified seven key gaps, including weak pedagogical innovation, a descriptive approach to religious moderation, unsustainable digitalization, marginalization of gender issues, limited research on child protection and the welfare of Islamic boarding school students (santri), poor integration with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and limited research on interdisciplinarity. This study recommends strengthening the integration of digital pedagogy, developing a moderation model based on evaluative instruments, mainstreaming gender, and expanding global collaboration. The research's novelty lies in the full integration of the PRISMA and VOSviewer methods to produce a comprehensive, evidence-based thematic mapping, thus providing a methodological and strategic foundation for developing a more innovative and internationally competitive research agenda in Indonesian Islamic Education.
