Abstract

Dalam merepresentasi kesalahan komunikasi tulis dalam menyelesaikan soal induksi matematika, peneliti menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian berjumlah 20 orang yang merupakan mahasiswa Tadris Matematika FTIK IAIN Palu yang memprogram Mata Kuliah Teori Bilangan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dengan pemberian tes induksi matematika. Hasil kajian menunjukkan kesalahan komunikasi tulis pada aspek ketepatan dan kebenaran jawaban sebesar 37.95%, aspek penggunaan bahasa matematika sebesar 30.12%, aspek struktur jawaban sebesar 17.47% dan aspek strategi pemecahan yang digunakan sebesar 14.46%. Pada kajian ini, kesalahan pada aspek penggunaan bahasa matematika cenderung berdampak pada aspek ketepatan dan kebenaran jawaban yang disebabkan kurangnya penguasaan konsep induksi matematika dan lemahnya penguasaan pembuktian mengikuti prosedur.

Abstract

The command of learning in the Qur'an aims to enable people to gain knowledge, experience, and learning in living life, especially in overcoming the problems encountered. Mathematics is a branch of science that plays an important role in life whose application is seen in various disciplines. Measurement material is one of the subjects of Mathematics I taught in the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education Study Program (PGMI) semester V. The results of individual assignments show that the scores obtained are not optimal yet there are still many errors in completion. In this study, the authors used the Newman procedure error approach. Based on the results of the study, the percentage of reading errors reached 24.5%, understanding errors 17.6%, transformation errors 15.6%, processing skills errors 16.6% and answers writing errors 25.7%. The results of the interview show that reading errors are generally caused by incompetence in writing words/symbols due to factors that forget or do not know in standard writing. Misunderstanding is caused by students having difficulty understanding the phrase "standard unit writing", consequently also difficulty in determining the final result. Transformation errors are caused by errors in converting to standard units and errors for process skills are due to inaccuracy in writing answers so that they experience calculation errors that also have an impact on writing the final result. Finally, the answer writing error is caused by inaccuracy in writing the final answer caused by other types of mistakes made previously.

Abstract

Technology not only has a positive impact on its users, it also shows negative impacts that cannot be underestimated. One of the negative impacts is time management. Time management plays an important role in the learning success of students. Time management plays an important role in the learning success of students. In this study, the authors take a mathematical approach in identifying poor understanding of students about time management. The type of approach used is library research with the method of collecting data using documentation to be analyzed through content analysis techniques. The results of the study show that poor understanding of students in time management can be identified through mathematical approaches such as numerical methods, with stages: (1) Determination of design or research model; (2) Searching for primary data, i.e. the texts themselves; and (3) Search for contextual knowledge. This study begins with quantitative data analysis. Data obtained through time management questionnaires and learning outcomes tests. In descriptive statistical analysis obtained a description of the average score. While inferential statistical analysis is intended for hypothesis testing and regression testing. Next is the implementation of numerical methods in identifying poor understanding of students about time management.  At the end of the results of the study conducted a qualitative analysis phase. The findings of different researchers are likely to be different because they can be influenced by the location or individual characteristics of students.

Abstract

The study of the use of Moringa a leaf in mathematics learning at elementary / Islamic elementary level as an alternative media for learning mathematics based on local wisdom aims to introduce the use of Moringa leaves in mathematics learning, especially in the concept of counting and connections in making patterns. The method applied is a literature review obtained through the Research Gate and Google Scholar databases and other relevant sources. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis method. Based on this study, it is known that in addition to its role in culinary and treatment, Moringa leaves can also be used as a medium for learning mathematics, especially in applying the concept of arithmetic at the elementary / Islamic elementary level and in making connections. So according to this, it is expected that the study can be used as a reference in developing the creative potential of teachers and students in order to create the characteristics of effective and efficient mathematics learning.

Abstract

The study of student's mathematical communication skills in terms of the workings of the dominant brain aims to see the mathematical communication skills of students who are dominant right brain and students who are dominant left brain. This type of research is quantitative descriptive with 18 research subjects who are students of Mathematics Tadris who program Linear Algebra. Data collection techniques used are the provision of characteristic identification tests and tests of mathematical communication skills. The results of the study indicate descriptively that the written communication of the right brain dominant group is better than the left brain group and the oral communication of the left brain dominant group is better than the right brain group.

Abstract

Communication skills are important for every human being. Communication in this study focused on the written communication skills of students in solving mixed fraction questions. This quantitative descriptive research was conducted at SMPN 1 Lampasio, Tolitoli Regency, Central Sulawesi with the object of research as many as 15 grade VII students in the odd semester of the 2020/2021 school year. The data collection technique used was the test method to obtain data on the written communication skills of mixed fraction material. Based on the results of the study, it shows that 7% of the 15 research objects have written communication skills, including in the low ability category, 86% in the medium ability category, and 7% in the high ability category. The characteristics of the test results show that students who have written communication skills in the low category generally only remember the material or memorize but are weak in the aspect of understanding the material. Meanwhile, students who have written communication skills in the medium category show that the stages are already able to write answers close to perfect where the direction of the answer structure and solving strategies used is visible, but there are still errors in the accuracy and correctness of the answers. And for students who have written communication skills in the high category show the ability to use mathematical language, the solving strategies used, the accuracy and correctness of answers, and the answer structure is perfect

Abstract

Mathematical problem-solving ability is one of the standard processes in learning mathematics, but mathematical communication skills in Indonesia are still low. The biggest cause is the difficulties experienced by students in solving problem-solving problems and when translating everyday life problems into mathematical models. This research was structured referring to the purpose of conducting a literature review regarding aspects that are considered to correlate in determining students' mathematical communication skills. The research method used is the Systematic Literature Review which collects data by documenting and reviewing all relevant research articles related to communication skills in terms of various aspects, especially related to story questions published in the 2015-2021 period. The articles used in this study were 11 journals obtained from the Google Scholar database. Based on this study, it was found that mathematical communication skills have a good correlation in terms of gender, personality type, cognitive style, IQ, dominant brain, learning style, conceptual ability, and the suitability of the learning model used

Abstract

Manusia diciptakan oleh Allah swt dengan memiliki akal dan pikiran. Hal ini dimaksudkan agar manusia berperan dalam menggali dan memanfaatkan segala bentuk ciptaan Allah swt sebagaimana yang telah dijelaskan di dalam Al-Quran. Dengan potensi yang dimilikinya tersebut, manusia dapat mengembangkan ilmu pengetahuan sehingga dapat melakukan aktivitas studi dan penelitian yang seharusnya mampu memahami kebenaran Al-Quran. Bagi seorang muslim dalam melakukan interpretasi terhadap al-Quran merupakan hal dalam memahami pesan yang Allah swt berikan sebagai petunjuk dalam berjalan di muka bumi ini. Posisi manusia dengan segala kehebatannya hanya dapat memaknainya pada taraf relatif saja, sementara derajat kesempurnaan hanyalah merupakan rahasia Allah swt. Jika memandang matematika yang syarat dengan angka-angka, simbol-simbol dan rumus-rumus, maka dengan sendirinya siapapun dapat memandang matematika sebagai ilmu yang memerlukan kemampuan memanipulasi aturan-aturan dengan operasi yang sudah disepakati.

Abstract

Abstract:Higher-order thinking skills are the abilities needed in preparing students to face global challenges in the 21st century. This research aims to describe the profile of elementary school teacher knowledge about higher-order thinking skills in mathematics learning. The research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The subjects in this research consisted of 3 elementary school teachers in Palu. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and interviews. The results indicate that not all teachers can interpret higher-order thinking skills well. The teacher's knowledge about the implementation of mathematics learning which is oriented higher-order thinking skills is also still low.Abstrak:Higher order thinking skill merupakan kemampuan yang dibutuhkan dalam mempersiapkan peserta didik untuk menghadapi tantangan global. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil pengetahuan guru SD tentang higher order thinking skill dalam pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian yang dilakukan merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 3 orang guru Sekolah Dasar yang berada di kota Palu. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa tidak semua guru mengetahui makna higher order thinking skill dengan baik. Pengetahuan guru tentang implementasi pembelajaran matematika yang berorientasi higher order thinking skill juga masih rendah.

Abstract

Ortogonalitas merupakan salah satu konsep yang penting di ruang hasil kali dalam. Sementara itu, ortogonalitas di ruang bernorm belum dikenal secara umum. Akan tetapi, ada beberapa tipe ortogonalitas di ruang bernorm yang telah dikembangkan, yaitu ortogonalitas-BJ, -I, dan P. Demikian halnya di ruang bernorm-2 terdapat konsep ortogonalitas-D. Pada makalah ini, dipaparkan secara singkat sifat-sifat dasar dari keempat ortogonalitas tersebut yang meliputi sifat nondegenerasi, simetri, homogen, aditif kanan, resolvabilitas, dan kontinuitas. Keekivalenan antara keempat ortogonalitas ini dengan ortogonalitas biasa di ruang hasil kali dalam juga dipaparkan dalam akhir makalah ini.
