Abstract

@traveloka.id fokus pada branded content, yaitu menekankan nilai merek seperti "Life, Your Way".

Abstract

This study examines media coverage of demonstrations rejecting the revision of the 2024 Regional Head Election Bill (RUU Pilkada). Two national online media, Tempo.co and BeritaSatu.com, used different framing approaches. The aim is to identify and compare their framing constructions. The method applied was Robert N. Entman’s framing analysis with four elements: define problems, diagnose causes, make moral judgement, and treatment recommendations. Data were taken from online news in August 2024. The findings show that Tempo.co emphasized democracy, criticism of the government, and civil society voices, while BeritaSatu.com highlighted political stability, public order, and government responses. These differences demonstrate how editorial orientation shapes media reality and public opinion. Theoretically, this research enriches studies on reality construction in Indonesian mass media. Practically, it encourages readers and policymakers to be more critical of news framing. The novelty lies in revealing contrasting framings between progressive and pro-government media on the 2024 Pilkada, reflecting the tension between democracy and stability.

Abstract

This study Research This study analyzes the social criticism discourse presented by female comedians in the Adu Cuanda x TAYTB Women Warriors program on OCBC YouTube, placing digital media as a space for women's advocacy and empowerment. Based on Judith Butler's theory of gender performativity and Rodney H. Jones et al.'s analysis of digital discourse, this study highlights aspects of text, context, interaction, and power relations and ideology. The results show that the comedians raise issues of gender, culture, family, economics, politics, morals, and religion, including stereotypes, objectification, subordination, double burdens, socio-economic inequality, and religious and mental health stigma. These findings confirm that stand-up comedy functions as a medium for social criticism and empowerment, while YouTube serves as an inclusive digital space for the struggle for gender equality.

Abstract

War based on Sunni and Shia identity becomes a trend in contemporary conflicts in the Middle East. Unlike the Sunni-Shia conflict in the classic period as a result of theological dispute, the current conflict between the two groups are more influenced by political, economic and social variables. Therefore, it is necessary to analise the Sunni-Shia conflict comprehensively. The analysis provides steps to reconcile relations between Sunni-Shiite in the contemporary period. Reconciliation can be strengthened through dialogue among Sunni-Shia, construct common enemy and open socio-political access.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between Arabic linguistic rules and certain Qur’anic expressions that appear not to fully conform to established norms of nahwu and imlāʾ. Employing a qualitative approach with a descriptive-interpretative method, this research analyzes various forms of perceived linguistic irregularities and the interpretive strategies developed by classical and contemporary scholars to account for them. The findings indicate that such apparent inconsistencies are not considered errors; rather, they are understood as part of the distinctive uslūb (stylistic features) of the Qur’an, encompassing rhetorical, eloquent (balāghah), and inimitable (iʿjāz) dimensions. Consequently, interpretive efforts seek to reconstruct linguistic understanding in a way that remains consistent with the belief in the Qur’an’s absolute truth. This study underscores that a linguistic approach to the Qur’an requires an epistemological framework that goes beyond normative grammatical rules, incorporating theological and rhetorical dimensions inherent in the text.
