Abstract

Bahan pengikat yang biasa digunakan dalam Konstruksi perkerasan lentur yaitu bitumen atau aspal dalam campuran beraspal. Dalam memenuhi parameter Marshall, Kadar aspal harus mampu memenuhi yang terbaik atau biasa sering disebut dengan kadar aspal optimum (KAO). Evaluasi kadar aspal optimum (KAO) dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat centrifuge extraction atau reflector, yaitu alat yang berfungsi mengetahui besaran prosentase kadar campuran aspal, sehingga butiran-butiran agregat yang bercampur dengan aspal, serta bahan tambah filler menjadi bagian yang terpisah oleh cairan pelarut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah mengambil sampel uji dan melakukan pengujian sesuai dengan SNI 03-3640-1994, Metode Pengujian Kadar Aspal dengan Cara Ekstraksi Menggunakan Alat Soklet. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kadar aspal hasil Ekstraksi pada lapisan atas perkerasan lentur jalan Kampus Ronggolawe Kec. Cepu Kab. Blora. Hasil penguian menunjukkan nilai ekstraksi pada jalan Kampus Ronggolawe Kecamatan Cepu Kabupaten Blora memiliki kadar aspal rata-rata sebesar 4,87 %. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa nilai tersebut masih dibawah spesifikasi perkerasan jalan aspal.

Abstract

Mortar is a mixture of cement, sand and water. Mortar as an adhesive for masonry and plaster continues to increase in use. Sand is a limited natural resource. This research aims to determine the compressive strength of mortar that uses broken glass as an additional material to replace sand. The glass shards used are glass shards that pass through a sieve with a diameter of ≤ 0.5 cm. The mortar studied was in the form of a cube measuring 50 mm x 50 mm x 50 mm with a cement and sand volume ratio of 1: 4 and 10% water from the cement and sand mixture. Variations in the percentage of broken glass made are 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%. The test was carried out when the mortar was 7 days old using an ADR Touch 2000 Standard Compression Machine. The results of the research show that the more glass fragments are added, the compressive strength of the mortar decreases.

Abstract

In learning physics, one of the competencies that must be mastered in the competence of scientific work is the competence of scientific communication. Scientific communication can be done orally or in writing. The purpose of this research is to describe the science process skills that can be developed in guided inquiry-oriented laboratory activities and develop inquiry-oriented devices in the form of student laboratory activity sheets that can encourage student competence in scientific communication. The achievement of scientific communication competence is done by doing hands on laboratory activities and multimedia laboratories with guided inquiry insights by developing student laboratory activity sheet devices. The research method used is research and development (R&D) method. To measure the achievement of indicators used tools in the form of: evaluation (pre-test and post-test), laboratory activity sheets, laboratory activity reports, practicum observation sheets and discussions. The results of this study indicate an increase in the scientific communication competence of students who have conducted hands-on laboratory activities, especially multimedia laboratories. The conclusion that can be drawn from this research is that the inquiry-oriented student laboratory activity sheet by utilizing hands on laboratories and multimedia laboratories can be used to improve students' scientific communication skills.

Abstract

The use of cooking oil for too long and repeatedly will cause changes in color, odor, and physical and chemical properties of the cooking oil itself. However, the public generally lacks knowledge and awareness about the quality of good cooking oil to use. As an alternative, research has been conducted on testing the quality of cooking oil based on changes in the angle of polarization of light using a polarimeter. The cooking oil to be tested was previously heated to a temperature of 100 degrees Celsius with a variation of five heating times. The results of the polarization angle change test showed that the cooking oil without heating had the smallest polarization angle of 0.2 degrees, then with five heating times the polarization angle increased to 10.9 degrees. This indicates a change in the physical properties of cooking oil that has not been heated with cooking oil that has been heated repeatedly.
