Abstract

Educational issues were essential in efforts to improve the quality of human resources. It’s based on the mandate in the preamble of the 1945 Constitution. That’s why equal distibution of education in all areas was a right for citizens, including at the border of Indonesia, especially the Nunukan area, North Kalimantan. The article was to reveal information or data related to the challenges and orientation of Islamic education in Nunukan Regency. The method used field research in the form of qualitative-descriptive method. The location of this research was at MTs Al-Ikhlas Nunukan. The subjects of this study were students, educators, and Madrasah administrators at MTs Al-Ikhlas Nunukan. The results showed that to overcome various madrasah problems, formulations were needed, namely: integrating Islamic values ??in science and social learning, maximizing religious practices, applying good exemplary and habituation models, as well as reward and punishment related to student morals. Abstract

Education is a must for a nation because education is a way to educate the nation's life. The education process does not only take place formally but can also be obtained through organizations in schools. Organizationally in the school environment, there is a religious extracurricular, Rohis, which provides positive student activities. However, the right strategy is needed so that students are motivated to participate in a series of activities in religious extracurricular activities. So the problem formulation is how the education unit strategy to increase student interest in participating in Rohis religious extracurricular activities at school. This research was conducted at SMP N 9 Metro and using qualitative methodology: data were obtained through interviews with the education unit and extracurricular school administrators, observation, and documentation. The results of this study explain that convincing students of things according to their needs by using the advice method and providing guidance by encouraging students to understand and practice the teachings of Islam correctly by using the technique of exemplary, habituation, punishment, reward, and attention, encouraging students to understand and practice Iman, Islam, and Ihsan with actualization and application in daily life using the method of habituation, exemplary, and attention. Abstract

The Tijaniyah Order is a way for a salik to get closer to Allah SWT, by carrying out all spiritual forms to be carried out at a station sequentially. The beginning of the emergence of the Tijaniyah Order was in West Java, precisely in Cirebon. The development of the Tijaniyah Order continues to follow the times so that this Order has reached other countries such as Tawau, Malaysia. In this study, the author discusses how the development or internal dynamics of the Tijaniyah Muslim community in Nunukan Regency. The result is that the development of the Tijaniyah Order in Nunukan Regency has been very slow but sure. So that the number of adherents of the Tijaniyah Order in Nunukan Regency is still very small. Because the Tijaniyah Order does not just accept and pay allegiance to someone who still has doubts in his heart. His heart could not yet accept the practices and teachings of the Tijaniyah Order. The practice of dhikr in the Tijaniyah Order educates its members to always be close to Allah both physically and spiritually, so that what is written in the heart and what is said orally, namely dhikr, goes hand in hand continuously and is reflexive. It is meant to resist every ugly scratch in the mind. So as to produce a clear mind, clean from scratches other than Allah. The practice of remembrance is basically the basics of practice that must be developed by members to organize maqamat until they reach the degree of sainthood.

Abstract

The Quran as the holy book of Muslims contains deep meaning in every verse that contains all aspects of life, including family relations. to be able to understand its meaning, the tafsir method is needed and one of the tafsir methods that has contributed to the development of the meaning of the Quranic verse is Tafsir Maqashidi, because this tafsir emphasizes understanding the intent and purpose contained in each verse of the Quran. The purpose of this study is to examine and investigate the contribution of maqashidi interpretation in the development of the meaning of the verse of the Quran especially in the verse that discusses family relations in tafsir al- azhar by hamka. This research uses a qualitative approach that is normative in nature. the data source used is the type of secondary data related to the research topic. The results of this study indicate that the contribution of Tafsir Maqashidi in developing the meaning of family relations verses is to provide a deeper understanding of family relationships and encourage awareness of the family values desired by Allah SWT. Through the approach of Tafsir Maqashidi, Hamka is able to relate the messages of the Quran to the context of life today and can convey important values, such as love, mutual respect, deliberation and responsibility in family relationships. Thus, the contribution of Tafsir Maqashidi in Tafsir Al-Azhar not only provides an understanding of religious knowledge, but also provides direction for creating good family relationships in accordance with Islamic teachings.

Abstract

This article addresses the issue of the epistemological dynamics and methods in the development of Qur'anic interpretation from the era of Prophet Muhammad to the modern era. The study aims to analyze the transformation of interpretive methods, the validity of traditional and modern epistemologies, and their integration with contemporary scientific philosophy. The research employs a qualitative-descriptive approach with historical, epistemological, and contextual analysis. The findings reveal that interpretive methods have evolved from literal, tradition-based approaches (bi al-ma'tsur) to the use of hermeneutics, scientific philosophy, and contextual approaches to address the challenges of modernity. In the Nusantara context, local interpretations such as the works of Abdurrauf Singkel and Quraish Shihab demonstrate the relevance of Qur'anic interpretation in responding to socio-cultural issues. The study concludes by emphasizing the need for integrating traditional epistemology with modern approaches to produce holistic and contextually relevant interpretations while adhering to the authority of divine revelation.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran madrasah yang ada di Kabupaten Nunukan dalam upaya menginternalisasikan Islam berwawasan kebangsaaan untuk meneguhkan moderasi beragama terhadap siswanya. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel pada beberapa madrasah yang ada di Kabupaten Nunukan, di mana madrasah yang dijadikan sampel dianggap telah mengaplikasikan nilai kebangsaan yang berorientasi pada sikap moderat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Penggalian data menggunakan pengamatan langsung (observasi), wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini yakni: Pertama, cara atau metode yang digunakan oleh madrasah beragam dalam mengaplikasikan Islam berwawasan kebangsaan yang meneguhkan sikap moderasi beragama; MA Al-Anshari Nunukan yang merupakan sekolah di bawah naungan Yayasan Pondok Pesantren sedari awal telah menanamkan sikap hubb al-wathan min al-īman (mencintai tanah air bagian dari iman) kepada siswanya, sehingga antara agama dan kecintaan kepada bangsa dan negara merupakan satu kesatuan, sementara pada MA YIIPS Sebatik Timur para guru tidak hanya mengajarkan nilai agama kepada para siswa, namun mereka juga aktif melibatkan para siswa dalam kegiatan hari besar nasional untuk mengenang jasa para pendahulu bangsa, sehingga lahir siswa yang memiliki jiwa nasionalisme. Pembelajaran yang berkaitan dengan kebangsaan, seperti PKn juga dimanfaatkan untuk menanamkan nilai Islam berwawasan kebangsaan kepada siswa sebagaimana yang dilakukan di MI Roudhatut Tarbiyah Nunukan. Kedua, urgensi wawasan kebangsaan di madrasah yakni: dapat menjadi alat yang efektif dalam mencegah radikalisme, memperkuat identitas nasional, dan dapat menumbuhkan sikap aktif untuk dapat saling bertoleransi. The aim of this research is to determine the role of madrasah in Nunukan Regency in efforts to internalize Islam with a national perspective to enforce religious moderation for their students. This research uses samples from several madrasah in Nunukan Regency, where the madrasah used as samples are considered to have applied national values ​​that are oriented towards a moderate attitude. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection uses direct observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research are: First, the methods or methods used by madrasas are varied in applying Islam with a national perspective which reinforces an attitude of religious moderation; MA Al-Anshari Nunukan, which is a school under the auspices of the Islamic Boarding School Foundation, has from the start instilled the attitude of hubb al-wathan min al-īman (loving the homeland is part of faith) in its students, so that religion and love of the nation and state are one unit. , while at MA YIIPS Sebatik Timur the teachers not only teach religious values ​​to students, but they also actively involve students in national holiday activities to commemorate the services of the nation's predecessors, so that students are born who have a spirit of nationalism. Learning related to nationality, such as Civics, is also used to instill Islamic values ​​with a national perspective in students as is done at MI Roudhatut Tarbiyah Nunukan. Second, the urgency of national insight in madrasas is that: it can be an effective tool in preventing radicalism, strengthening national identity, and can foster an active attitude towards mutual tolerance

Abstract

This research aims to examine the model of religious humanistic education values applied in Madrasah Aliyah in Nunukan Regency, by conducting mapping involving three Madrasah Aliyah, namely Madrasah Aliyah Al-Anshari Nunukan, Madrasah Aliyah Ma’arif NU 01 Nunukan Selatan, and Madrasah Aliyah Al-Khairaat Nunukan. There are five main reasons underlying the research on the model of religious humanistic education values in these Madrasah Aliyah. First, the socio-cultural diversity in Nunukan that requires value education to build social harmony. Second, the influence of globalization that threatens the morals of teenagers, necessitating strengthening character based on religious humanistic values. Third, the strategic role of madrasah in shaping noble character and reinforcing Islamic identity. Fourth, the local context of Nunukan as a border area facing the influence of foreign cultures. Fifth, the crisis of values among teenagers, such as low tolerance, responsibility, and social concern. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with the Headmaster and teachers of the three Madrasah Aliyah in Nunukan Regency. The main focus of this research is to understand how the model of religious humanist education is implemented in Madrasah Aliyah in Nunukan Regency, to analyze educational strategies for internalizing religious humanist values in Madrasah Aliyah in Nunukan Regency, and to determine the implications of implementing the model of religious humanist education in Madrasah Aliyah in Nunukan Regency.
