Abstract

This community service project aims to assist and encourage Adijaya Village Seedling Garden in developing digital marketing strategies and conducting business feasibility studies. Adijaya Village Seedling Garden (VSG), Pekalongan, East Lampung, is an example of how digital marketing is not commonly employed, especially in areas and villages. Another issue is that partners lack the necessary skills to write Business Feasibility Study Reports. Partners require the creation of a Firm Feasibility Study Report in order to reduce the danger of loss by determining whether or not a business can be run continually. This service activity's execution technique includes training and guidance in order to lay the groundwork for online marketing in Adijaya village and business feasibility studies. This service activity went off without a hitch, and the participants were enthusiastic in their participation. The training participants should be able to understand and implement marketing strategies as well as conduct business feasibility studies as a result of this activity.

Abstract

As a developing country, foreign investment plays an important role in developing the economy in Indonesia. It can increase economic growth, create jobs, and open up pathways for the transfer of technology and knowledge from abroad. This study aims to examine the factors that can affect the realization of foreign investment in Indonesia. The variables that will be used in the analysis of this study consist of foreign investment realization, economic growth rate, natural resources, labor force and real exchange rate. This research will use the Error Correction Model method as a research analysis tool. According to the results of short-term analysis, natural resources can affect the realization of foreign investment into Indonesia positively and significantly. In addition, real exchange rate depreciation can also encourage an increase in realized foreign investment in Indonesia. According to the results of long-term analysis, economic growth rate, natural resources, labor force and real exchange rate are known to have a significant positive influence on the realization of foreign investment in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research endeavors to scrutinize the influence of institutional quality and macroeconomic factors on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). The institutional quality dimensions analyzed include political stability and corruption, while the macroeconomic variables encompass Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and exchange rates. The study's sample comprises developing Asian nations over the period from 2012 to 2019. Employing a quantitative methodology, the study leverages panel data analysis to derive its findings. The results indicate that political stability and exchange rates do not exert a statistically significant effect on FDI. In contrast, corruption is found to have a negative and significant association with FDI, whereas GDP shows a positive and significant correlation. Based on these outcomes, it is advised that developing countries in Asia should prioritize the enhancement of institutional quality, particularly by mitigating corruption, as it poses a substantial impediment to FDI inflows. Future research is encouraged to refine the model by incorporating additional variables and employing dynamic panel data analysis to facilitate a more comprehensive exploration of the evolving interrelations among variables over time.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of government expenditure and interest rates on inflation in Asia from 2018 to 2023. Using panel data from 31 Asian countries, the research employs quantitative methods with descriptive analysis. The study finds that government expenditure has a statistically significant negative effect on inflation, meaning that higher government spending reduces inflation, while reduced spending increases it, mainly due to fiscal deficits. On the other hand, interest rates have a positive effect on inflation, with higher interest rates leading to increased inflation, largely influenced by the post-COVID-19 economic recovery and the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Additionally, the study shows that both government expenditure and interest rates jointly influence inflation, with a confidence level of 95%. The results highlight the importance of effective fiscal policy and clear communication from central banks regarding interest rate adjustments. The study recommends that governments prioritize efficient spending, while central banks should enhance transparency in their monetary policy decisions. The paper also suggests that future research should expand the analysis period and sample size to gain deeper insights into the relationship between fiscal and monetary policies and inflation in Asia.

Abstract

This research investigates the impact of macroprudential and microprudential policies on the stability of banks in Indonesia during the post-COVID-19 recovery period. The study applies an Error Correction Model (ECM) to panel data collected quarterly from the first quarter of 2020 to the fourth quarter of 2022, focusing on ten banks categorized as BUKU IV banks in Indonesia. The findings reveal that, in the long run, the macroprudential intermediation ratio significantly and positively influences the non-performing loan (NPL) ratio. Conversely, return on assets (ROA) and the loan-to-deposit ratio (LDR) exhibit a significant negative relationship with NPL. Meanwhile, the macroprudential liquidity buffer demonstrates a positive but statistically insignificant effect on NPL, whereas the capital adequacy ratio (CAR) shows a negative yet statistically insignificant relationship with NPL. In the short term, the results indicate that the macroprudential intermediation ratio retains its positive and significant influence on NPL. Similarly, ROA and CAR are found to have a significant negative impact on NPL, suggesting their importance in mitigating loan defaults. However, the macroprudential liquidity buffer continues to display a positive but statistically insignificant effect on NPL, while LDR demonstrates a negative but also statistically insignificant relationship with NPL. These findings underscore the complex dynamics between prudential policies and banking stability, emphasizing the varying impacts of key financial indicators over different time horizons.
