Abstract

Halal is an important concept that enables and simplifies the consuming process of food and beverage products, especially for Muslim consumers. The study believes that the development of Halal is a communally obligatory (fardhu kifayah) for that SMEs and a personally obligatory (fardhu ain) for the Muslim consumer. The Government of Malaysia has already recognized the importance of SMEs, implemented various policies; action plans, and also introduced Halal related programs to assist the SMEs. The objectives of the study are to identify the awareness and perception towards Halal certification among SMEs in Sabah. 42 SMEs were participated in the study; the results indicated that they are aware of the role of Halal certification, and how Halal will make them competitive in the market. Majority of them are keen to become Halal certified company however the SMEs responded that to be Halal certified company the process is expensive and complicated. This paper is hoped to contribute to a better understanding of the current situation of how Halal certification can help SMEs to grow their businesses. Further study on this matter is suggested in order to gain more accurate, interesting and detailed information on the issue.

Abstract

The history of the Indonesian constitution has implemented Parliamentary and Presidential systems at different times. However, in practice it creates ambiguity in system implementation. The presidential system currently implemented is experiencing a dilemma due to regulation and separation of powers which tends to still have a parliamentary nuance. This research is library research that examines and explores regulatory documents, books, journals and other scientific works that are relevant to the topic of discussion. The results of data collection were analyzed in depth and then presented descriptively analytically. This article aims to provide ideas for building a concrete government system based on the shift in power functions that has occurred. This article concludes the need to issue a Law on the Presidential Institution which contains concrete limits on the powers of the President and the DPR. The President's capacity as head of government is limited by the party coalition in parliament. Therefore, it is necessary to redefine the roles and relationships between the President, DPR and political parties, clarify the checks and balances mechanism, and support the effectiveness of concrete and proportional government.

Abstract

Abstract

This research examines the use of geochemical approaches for early detection of heavy metals in groundwater, a crucial issue in water resources management and environmental protection. Using qualitative research methods with a literature study approach, this research analyzes various secondary data sources to understand the effectiveness, challenges and opportunities for developing geochemical methods in monitoring groundwater quality. The research results show that the geochemical approach has significant advantages in detecting subtle changes in the chemical composition of groundwater, which can be an early indicator of heavy metal contamination. Geochemical parameters such as pH, electrical conductivity, and total dissolved solids (TDS) have proven to be effective as indicators of the presence of heavy metals. Additionally, stable isotope analysis allows identification of pollution sources, opening up opportunities for more targeted mitigation strategies. This research also reveals the importance of integrating geochemical methods with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for spatial pollution risk mapping. However, gaps were found in the applicability of this method in various geological conditions, indicating the need for the development of more adaptive models. In conclusion, geochemical approaches offer a promising solution for early detection of heavy metals in groundwater, but require further research to overcome implementation challenges, especially in developing countries. This research makes an important contribution to efforts to protect groundwater resources and supports the achievement of sustainable development goals related to clean water and sanitation.

Abstract

Environmental problems are a very important topic and an interesting issue to discuss both in Indonesia and abroad. Technological developments, in the industrial world and population growth have an important role in influencing environmental problems. Improvements in technology and industry have played a significant role in the implementation of development, as a consequence the amount of raw materials and industrial waste has increased. This has an impact on pollution and environmental damage. The important role of environmental chemistry in maintaining the sustainability of natural resources and the environment. Environmental chemistry plays a significant role in understanding, preventing, and addressing environmental problems faced by humans.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to conduct structural geological analysis to evaluate the potential for earthquakes in certain areas. The methods used include field surveys, geological modeling, structural analysis, and mapping of earthquake potential zones. The results of this study will provide better insight into the potential earthquake risk in the region and can be used in disaster mitigation planning. In addition, the study also applied modern seismic monitoring technologies, including the use of seismometers and seismic data processing to monitor current earthquake activity. The collected seismic data has helped in a deeper understanding of the behavior of potential earthquake zones, including the frequency, magnitude, and energy released by previous earthquakes. The results of this monitoring provide valuable insights in mitigating earthquake risk by improving early warning and emergency response planning. By combining structural geological analysis and seismic monitoring, the study makes a significant contribution in understanding and managing earthquake potential in the region holistically.
