Abstract

The level of purse seine business income is determined by the efficient allocation of resources for alternative capture fisheries activities. If resources are not used efficiently, there will be unexploited potential to increase income and create surpluses. Conversely, if resources are allocated efficiently, additional capture fisheries can be obtained through growth-oriented development efforts. Therefore, it is important to identify the efficient use of resources to determine the existence of purse seine fisheries. The results show that the estimated technical efficiency of the catch with SPF (Stochastic Production Frontier) analysis for purse seine fisheries in Central Maluku Regency and Ambon was influenced by the length and width of fishing gear, number of fishermen, amount of investment value and time of capture operations. The minimum value of catch technical efficiency is 0.10 and the maximum is 0.99 with an average 0.48. Factors influencing the technical inefficiency of fishing are the experience of captain and the education level of fishermen. Purse seine fishery business in Central Maluku Regency and Ambon City is feasible to be developed, showing by NPV value Rp. 30,514,684 / year, IRR 23.97% and B / C ratio 5.85. The average return on investment (PP) based on the analysis is 2.16 years, with BEP price Rp. 6,606 and BEP production 3,765 kgs. The main priorities of purse seine fisheries development policy strategy in Central Maluku Regency and Ambon are the development of assistance to fishing groups, the development of appropriate technology to handle catches, increase fisheries production, and infrastructures development.

Abstract

One of the objectives of pricing is to achieve stable prices that do not easily rise and fall. With fixed and stable prices, we can avoid potential price wars. This price war can occur when there is a decrease in demand. Product prices are forced down in order to attract buyers. Pricing is influenced by Internal Factors and External Factors. Internal factors include the company's marketing objectives, costs, marketing mix strategies, and pricing methods. Meanwhile, external factors include the nature of the market and demand, competition, and other environmental elements. Selling price is an important thing that is of concern to producers in smoked fish marketing because it will determine the profits obtained for business continuity (Tjiptono, 2015). To achieve a profit desired by producers, one of the ways that needs to be done to attract consumer interest is to determine the selling price of the product appropriately (Waryanto and Nasrulloh, 2014). This is because the price level set will affect the quantity of products sold, because from the consumer's point of view the price is an indicator of the benefits obtained. Fish is one of the fishery products that is easily rotten and requires extra tight handling, so that the quality of the product can be maintained and the price to be offered can be adjusted to existing conditions. Fresh fish is fish that has characteristics including prominent eyes, red gills, complete scales, chewy meat, fresh aroma, and solid tail.

Abstract

The dependence of fisher households on fisheries resources is highly affected by climate change, therefore fishermen must be adaptive to all changes. Adaptation to climate change generally varies according to the potential owned and the ability of fishermen and the government. This study aims to determine the adaptation activities carried out by fishermen households in Negeri Hulaliu and Negeri Aboru of Central Maluku Regency due to climate change in the economic aspect. Primary data was obtained from interviews with 17 fishing households of Hulaliu Village and 14 fishing households of Aboru Village. Secondary data were obtained from various related agencies and scientific literature related to this research. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive qualitative analysis to determine the types of adaptation activities carried out and quantitative analysis to analyse the amount of income earned. The results showed that adaptation efforts to climate change made by fishermen to continue to earn income when they cannot carry out fishing activities are by utilising agricultural potential. entrepreneurship and cattle. Income from fishing is known in Hulaliu Village at IDR 5.333.733/month and Aboru Village at IDR 4.454.466/month, while income from farming is IDR 925.000/month, entrepreneurship is IDR 500.000/month, and farming is IDR 800.000/month in Hulaliu Village, in Aboru Village it is known that farming is IDR 1.100.000/month, entrepreneurship is IDR 700.000/month, and farming is IDR 200.000/month.
