Abstract

This study analysed persuasive messages by cyberprotest group on Twitter, especially in the case of Jaringan Masyarakat Peduli Pegunungan Kendeng (JMPPK) Rembang. Persuasive messages on Twitter were identified based on argument type, interaction type, and messages format. This study used elaboration likelihood model and quantitative content analysis method. The result of the study indicated that Twitter could be used as a persuasive communication space for protest groups. Central and peripheral route were facilitated by the features provided by Twitter.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to understanding the strategy of self-disclosure conducted by companion of Yayasan Kakak Surakarta to children’s sexual abuse victim. Self-disclosure by companion to children’s sexual abuse victim be used to resolve case of children’s sexual abuse and rehabilitations process of victim. The type of research is descriptive and qualitative with determine the informant use purpossive sampling. The technique data collection use indepth-interview and observation. Data validity using data triangulation. The results of this research is companion from Kakak Foundation Surakarta has different strategy at each area self-disclosure. Open area, companion use strategy that collaboration with another affairs and sharing tasks between companions from Kakak Foundation based on victim data. Hidden area companion use empathy to rising up the confidence and give pleasent feel for victim to reveal the sexual abuse incident. Blind area companion use strategy give powerfull respons to children’ sexual abuse victim in order to tell the information that in point of fact they don’t know about. Meanwhile in unknown area constitute area that can not be reveal because that is about the victim destiny in the future after the case resolved.

Abstract

Informasi bukan milik media massa dan wartawan saja. Sejak berkembangnya internet, informasi bukan menjadi hal yang sulit didapatkan. Peran masyarakat sebagai khalayak aktif dalam penyebaran informasi melalui dunia maya ini perlu diimbangi dengan kemampuan penulisan website. Salah satu organisasi kepemudaaan, Forum Silaturahmi Antarmasjid (FORSAM) Klaten Selatan merespon baik kebutuhan informasi dalam era digital dengan membuat wadah resmi yaitu website FORSAMklaten.com. Website memiliki peran penting dalam organisasi melalui. Pertama, sisi internal, yaitu sebagai wadah anggota untuk menyalurkan potensi di budang tulis menulis. Kedua, sisi eksternal, website menjadi media resmi yang menyampaikan informasi, jadwal kegiatan dan agenda FORSAM beserta jaringannya. Kehadiran website ini kemudian perlu diimbangi dengan peningkatan kemampuan penulisan website anggota sehingga dilaksanakan pelatihan penulisan website ini. Metode pelatihan dilakukan dengan tiga cara yaitu ceramah, praktik penulisan kemudian evaluasi dan pendampingan penulisan. Sesi ceramah menekankan penjelasan awal tentang prinsip-prinsip jurnalistik secara umum sementara praktik penulisan dan evaluasi lebih menekankan pada partisipasi peserta workshop. Kegiatan ini juga beberapa rekomendasi untuk keerlanjutan pengelolaan website yaitu pembuatan struktur untuk pengurus website, rubrikasi yang lebih spesifik, pembuatan jadwal piket dan penambahan fitur website terkait dengan link jaringan FORSAM Klaten Selatan. Melalui pelatihan ini diharapkan adanya peningkatan kompetensi anggota FORSAM Klaten Selatan di bidang tulis menulis sehingga mampu mengelola website mereka secara optimal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penyebab terjadinya communication apprehension di kalangan mahasiswa Fakultas Hukum pada peradilan semu di Fakultas Hukum Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. Teori yang digunakan adalah Comunication Apprehension. Metodenya adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Fakultas Hukum Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta angkatan 2016 yang mengambil Mata Kuliah Penanganan Perkara Konstitusi. Mahasiswa dipilih menggunakan teknik snowball.. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menujukkan, jenis communication apprehension yang muncul adalah trait apprehension, context, audience, situational. Communication apprehension terjadi karena dua factor, yaitu faktor internal yang mencakup kurangnya kepercayaan diri mahasiswa, dan faktor eksternal yang meliputi mahasiswa merasa sedang dievaluasi, tekanan dan waktu.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana narasi hukuman mati disajikan di media massa online. Narasi hukuman mati dalam penelitian ini merujuk pada isu yang berkembang saat kasus korupsi bantuan sosial terungkap KPK tahun 2020. Narasi hukuman mati yang dibingkai media online dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis framing konsep milik Robert N Entman. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian diambil dari pemberitaan media Kompas.com dan Tempo.co antara bulan Desember 2020 hingga Maret 2021. Hasil dan pembahasan penelitian melalui analisis empat unsur framing menunjukkan bahwa, pertama, Kompas.com dan Tempo.co menunjukan dukungannya dengan adanya keselarasan narasi hukuman mati untuk para koruptor bansos. Kedua, media tersebut tidak memberikan ruang untuk pihak Juliari Batubara untuk membela haknya. Walaupun terdapat kesamaan yaitu mendukung narasi hukuman mati tersebut, terdapat perbedaan dalam pengambilan data yang dilakukan oleh Kompas.com dan Tempo.co yaitu dari elemen dan latar belakang narasumber.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan bagaimana pesan persuasif kampanye pencegahan stunting di Puskesmas Colomadu 2 melakukan pencegahan, penanganan, serta penyuluhan mengenai stunting. Teori yang digunakan adalah Elaboration Likelihood Model yang dikembangkan oleh Richrad Petty dan John Cacioppo. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriftif kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara dan observasi. Paradigma penelitiannya adalah konstruktivistik. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah triangulasi dengan uji validitas triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukan central route menggunakan riset melalui aplikasi EPPGBN dijadikan sebagai landasan penyusunan materi sosialisasi stunting di Puskesmas Colomadu 2. Selanjutnya, upaya Puskesmas Colomadu 2 melalui sosialisasi kampanye dalam pencegahan stunting yang dapat membentuk ikatan warga melalui diskusi dan partisipasi aktif masyarakat. Peripheral route menggunakan spanduk sebagai sarana penyampaian pesan melalui media visual dan memberi informasi kepada masyarakat luas tentang sadar pencegahan stunting. Kemudian dalam spanduk berisi gambar kartun, warna dominan biru dan putih pada spanduk, dan pesan persuasif mengenai definisi stunting serta pencegahan stunting yang bersifat padat. Selanjutnya kegiatan masak makanan bergizi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan masyarakat dalam pencegahan stunting. Pada jalur peripheral route juga mengenai kredibilitas dari komunikator yang memiliki keahlian pada bidangnya untuk menumbuhkan kepercayaan audiens dan agar lebih didengar olehh masyarakat.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how self-presentations are made by users of K-Pop Idol roleplay accounts on Twitter. Roleplay is the activity of someone who assumes himself as another person or in a certain role. This research was conducted concerning the dramaturgical theory of Erving Goffman. This research is a type of descriptive qualitative research. In this study, data were obtained through observation and interviews which were then analyzed using interactive data analysis techniques. The results obtained in this study indicate that the resource person's roleplay account is the front stage which contains settings, appearance, and manner. Meanwhile, the back stage of the informant is the original life of the resource person which then becomes a place of preparation to form self-concept or impressions in the world of roleplay. Self-presentation can be seen from the appearance of the speakers on the front stage. While the preparation in the back stage includes the concept of identity, reference and motivation. Apart from that, in the back stage, the informant tends to hide the fact that he is a roleplayer

Abstract

Purpose: The aim of this research is to find out how detik.com and tempo.co frame the Papua KKB terrorism case and the reputation of the security forces. This study uses Robert N. Entman's Framing theory to find out a reality highlighted by the media and image restoration theory to see the reputation of security forces in media coverage. Methodology: The research method uses qualitative approach with framing analysis using four segments, namely defining problem, diagnosing cause, making moral judgment, and treatment recommendation. Results : The results of the study found that Detik.com and Tempo.co had differences in the framing of the Papua KKB news, where Detik.com highlighted acts of violence and terrorism while Tempo.co showed the actions of the security forces in forming a safe image for residents around the crime scene.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to find out how the self-disclosure of first account and second account users on Instagram uses the Johari Window theory. Students who use Instagram not only have one account but have many accounts. Methodology: This type of research is qualitative research with the determination of informants using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques using semi-structured interviews. Data validity uses data. Results: The results of this study are that in the self-disclosure process of Communication studies for students who use multiple accounts on Instagram, self-disclosure by students varies in each area. In the open area, students carry out self-disclosure including facial identity, happy feelings, and sharing daily life with their friends as students on the first account. In the hidden area, students hide their identity, name, profile photo, and private account to prevent others from finding the second account they have. In the blind area, students do not know other people's responses when they use a second account. while the unknown area is an area where the use of a second account is known by other people. Applications/Originality/Value: The researcher describes the social phenomena that exist among students regarding the self-disclosure of users of first accounts and second accounts on Instagram. This research has differences with other studies which lie in the research object, the social media use.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to determine how BPJPH's digital branding on social media. Methodology: This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive case study. The data collection in this study was done by interviewing the Sub Coordinator of Information Systems and Public Relations and the BPJPH's Public Relations Team, as well as making observations on BPJPH's social media. Researchers use the theory of Branding according to Kotler. Results: The results of the study found that branding was implemented through several elements, namely brand positioning, brand personality, brand identity, and brand awareness on BPJPH's social media. In its implementation, this element is carried out by the BPJPH's public relations team. Applications/Originality/Value: The object of this research is BPJPH, because BPJPH is an institution that has an important role in halal certification and is also a new institution that requires a study.
