Abstract

Orangutan (Pongo pygmaeus wurmbii) are protected from Indonesian rule whose existence is increasingly threatened with extinction, some of the main threats faced of orangutan (Pongo pygmaeus wurmbii) is lost habitat, illegal logging, forest fires, poaching and trade. Village Forest Blok Pematang Gadung is an area of ​​potential place for animals to live in it but on the other hand gold mining unlicensed also take advantage of the place. In defending the life of orangutan in the place needed information about the characteristics and density of orangutan nests to be used as reference for the development, management, protection and conservation as well as information the planning or monitoring, in order to take appropriate actions in the preservation of orangutan (Pongo pygmaeus wurmbii). Orangutan nests density is influenced by the distribution of orangutan which depend on the condition of orangutan  feeding, habitat conditions and access to females (reproduction), orangutan will build a nest in accordance to the weight of body and adjusting the structure of the forest, the most frequently encountered of orangutan nests class is class C while a position which is often used to make orangutan nests are positions 1 and 2, which is a very safe position because it is located in the branching tree and protected by tree crowns so orangutan can be protected from hot weather, wind or rain. Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi dan sistem informasi semakin cepat dan canggih serta tidak dapat dihindari, hal ini didasari oleh kebutuhan manusia akan teknologi dan sistem informasi yang cepat dan akurat. Untuk itu, Gor Bulu Tangkis sebagai salah satu sarana olahraga harus dapat memberikan pelayanan yang maksimal kepada penyewa, dan membernya. Tujuan penelitian adalah Untuk merancang dan membangun sistem pengelolaan sewa lapangan bulu tangkis berbasis java yang akan digunakan oleh pihak Gor Bulu Tangkis Gumilang untuk mempermudah pekerjaan dalam mengelola data dengan efektif dan efisien. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam membuat aplikasi sistem pengolahan data penyewaan mobil ini adalah metode R&D (Research and Development) yaitu metode yang digunakan untuk menghasilkan produk tertentu, dan menguji keefektifan produk. Dengan dibuatnya aplikasi atau sistem pengelolaan sewa lapangan, diharapkan dapat membantu pekerjaan dan mencegah kesalahan yang akan terjadi.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah (UMKM) memiliki peranan yang penting dalam perekonomian di Indonesia. Hal tersebut dikarenakan dengan adanya UMKM lapangan pekerjaan, pengentasan kemiskinan, kontribusi pada inovasi dan produk domestik bruto Negara Indonesia dapat tercipta. KKN-PPM UNWAHA melakukan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk pelaku UMKM meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan branding, meningkatkan kemampuan sumber daya dalam Label Produk, dapat memperluas jangkauan pasar dan dapat mengurangi ketergantungan pada metode promosi tradisional. Untuk itu sebagai mahasiswa KKN membantu dengan meberikan solusi dengan mengadakan pengabdian masyarakat dengan sosialisasi dan pelatihan branding dan promosi produk UMKM dalam menunjang kemantapan usaha dan menjangkau pasar yang makin luas, metode pelaksanaan dilaksankan secara offline yang dihadiri oleh pelaku usaha UMKM 45 orang. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat diperoleh bahwa peserta pelaku usaha UMKM merasa puas dengan materi yang disampaikan serta meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya menggunakan branding produk sebagai ujung tombak atas produk yang dihasilkan agar dapat menarik sesuai dengan keiinginan sehingga mampu menciptakan loyalitas konsumen terhadap produk yang dihasilkan, serta dengan sosialisasi promosi  produk melalui Instagram, dan Whatsapp  Business agar dapat menjangkau pasar yang luas.

Abstract

The cover of magazines plays a crucial role in conveying messages and influencing public opinion, particularly through cartoon illustrations. This research focuses on Tempo magazine, known as one of Indonesia's critical media outlets, especially during the New Order regime. With the upcoming 2024 presidential election, Anies Baswedan has emerged as a presidential candidate supported by the Coalition for Change. The study titled "The Interpretation of Anies Baswedan's Figure on Tempo Magazine Covers Related to the 2024 Presidential Candidate Discourse" employs a qualitative approach using semiotic analysis to understand how caricature images on the magazine covers reflect political dynamics and public opinion. The analysis is conducted on editions of Tempo magazine published on June 25, 2022, November 6, 2022, and January 29, 2023. The primary focus is to identify signs within the illustrations using Charles Sanders Peirce's triangle of meaning, which includes icons, indexes, and symbols. The results indicate that the caricatures on the magazine covers not only represent the main news but also reflect the complex political situation, including the uncertainties surrounding Anies Baswedan's candidacy in the 2024 elections. The conclusions of this research emphasize that Tempo magazine's use of caricatures is effective in shaping opinions and capturing readers' attention, with each edition providing different meanings related to the presidential candidate discourse and political dynamics in Indonesia

Abstract

Keberadaan manusia silver di jalanan merupakan fenomena baru di Indonesia dan menuai pro dan kontra. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Dramaturgi Erving Goffman untuk menganalisis bagaimana presentasi diri manusia silver di jalanan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis interaktif. Data divalidasi dengan menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber. Hasil dalam penelitian ini merujuk pada panggung depan informan yang terjadi ketika manusia silver menampilkan dirinya di jalanan untuk mengelola kesan sedemikian rupa untuk meminta sumbangan. Sedangkan panggung belakang dalam penelitian ini adalah panggung yang sangat berbeda, yang ditunjukkan oleh informan melalui pemaknaan diri yang cenderung negatif dan laman instagram mereka yang menyembunyikan karya dan bagaimana mereka berjuang melawan kemiskinan. Hal ini juga berkaitan dengan stigma di masyarakat yang memandang manusia silver sebagai pekerjaan yang merugikan diri sendiri dan harapan informan untuk mendapatkan pekerjaan lain. Penelitian selanjutnya dapat menganalisis dari sisi komunikan yaitu masyarakat, misalnya penerimaan masyarakat terhadap fenomena manusia silver.   The existence of Silver Men on the streets is a new phenomenon in Indonesia and has drawn pros and cons. This study uses Erving Goffman's Dramaturgy theory to analyse how The Silver Men 's self-presentation on the streets. This research is a qualitative research with case study method. The sampling technique was taken using purposive sampling technique and the data was analysed using interactive analysis. Data were validated using source triangulation techniques. The results in this study refer to the informant's front stage which occurs when The Silver Men presents himself on the streets to manage the impression in such a way as to ask for donations. While the back stage in this study is a very different stage, which is shown by informants through self-interpretation that tends to be negative and their instagram pages that hide their work and how they struggling with poverty. This is also related to the stigma in society that views The Silver Men as a self-harming job and the informant's hope to get another job. Further research can analyze from a communicant perspective, namely society, for example society's acceptance of The Silver Men  phenomenon.

Abstract

​​Physical fitness is an essential factor in maintaining health and enhancing students' productivity. Nutritional status and physical activity play a significant role in determining an individual's level of physical fitness. This study aims to analyze the relationship between nutritional status and physical activity with physical fitness among students at Universitas Awal Bros. This research employs a cross-sectional design with a quantitative approach. The sample consists of students from Universitas Awal Bros selected using the purposive sampling method. Nutritional status was measured using the Body Mass Index (BMI), physical activity was assessed through a physical activity questionnaire, and physical fitness was evaluated using the Indonesian Physical Fitness Test (TKJI). Data analysis was conducted using statistical correlation tests to determine the relationships between the study variables.mThe results showed a significant relationship between nutritional status and physical activity with students' physical fitness levels (p < 0.05). Students with normal nutritional status and higher physical activity levels exhibited better physical fitness compared to those who were less active or had non-ideal nutritional status. Therefore, maintaining a balanced diet and engaging in regular physical activity is crucial for improving students' physical fitness.

Abstract

Evaluating slope stability in tropical open-pit mining environments remains a technical challenge due to the complex geological formations and the influence of dynamic climatic conditions, particularly intense rainfall and high humidity. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of integrating the Rock Mass Rating (RMR) system and the Geological Strength Index (GSI) for classifying rock mass quality and predicting slope stability in such settings. Field data were collected from interbedded claystone and sandstone formations through systematic mapping of RMR parameters, including Rock Quality Designation (RQD), spacing and condition of discontinuities, groundwater presence, and uniaxial compressive strength. Complementary evaluations using GSI focused on block structure, joint surface conditions, and weathering characteristics. The RMR analysis classified the rock mass as Class III (Fair Rock), indicating moderate stability. However, the system’s static framework and limited responsiveness to rapid hydrogeological changes posed constraints in capturing the actual slope behavior. In contrast, GSI, with values ranging between 40 and 50, offered enhanced interpretive depth by incorporating qualitative assessments of lithological heterogeneity and structural anisotropy. The adaptability of GSI proved critical in environments where visual and textural indicators of degradation fluctuate spatially and temporally. The combined application of RMR and GSI enabled a more accurate, context-sensitive geotechnical evaluation, bridging the gap between empirical rigidity and field-based complexity. This integrated methodology supports more reliable engineering decisions and enhances the predictive capacity for slope failures in tropical geological settings, emphasizing the necessity for multidimensional classification tools in geotechnical practice.

Abstract

This study examines the motives and audience satisfaction with the Lapor Pak! program in Tanra Tuo Village, Pinrang Regency, focusing on the dimensions of information, personal identity, social integration, and entertainment. This phenomenon arose due to the high popularity of Lapor Pak! which combines comedy, satirical humor, and social issues, and its influence on rural communities that have not been affected by similar programs. The main objective of this study is to understand the factors that encourage viewers to watch Lapor Pak! and the level of satisfaction they feel related to these dimensions. The research method used was a quantitative approach with a survey design, where data was collected using a questionnaire measured on a 1-5 Likert scale. Validity and reliability tests were conducted to ensure that the instrument used could provide accurate and consistent results, with the validity test results showing all items were valid and reliability was very high (Cronbach's Alpha 0.9). The findings of the study show that entertainment motives dominate viewer motivation (average 4.275), followed by information motives (4.043), personal identity (3.687), and social integration (3.542). The level of audience satisfaction is also highest in the entertainment dimension (4.197), followed by information (3.965), personal identity (3.629), and social integration (3.588). The significance of this finding lies in Lapor Pak!‘s ability to fulfill viewers’ emotional and informational needs, although its function in identity formation and social integration is more supportive. The findings have merit in providing insights into how entertainment programs on television can serve as tools to reduce stress, provide social insights, and strengthen personal values among rural audiences, as well as contributing to the study of Uses and Gratification theory in the context of local communities

Abstract

Fokus penelitian ini adalah pemosisian aktor dalam kasus dana bantuan oleh pemerintah dengan strategi wacana eksklusi pada surat kabar Padang Ekspres menggunakan bentuk pasivasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis teks dan bahasa, yakni analisis isi (content analysis). Analisis isi adalah teknik penelitian untuk membuat inferensi-inferensi yang dapat ditiru (replicable) dan sahih data dengan memperhatikan konteksnya. Metode ini menekankan pada peneliti untuk melihat isi kebenaran isi teks secara kualitatif,  bagaimana peneliti memaknai isi teks dan memaknai isi interaksi simbolis yang terjadi dalam teks tersebut. Berdasarkan penganalisisan dan pembahasan dari berita bantuan dana Covid-19 terkait dengan pemerintah  pada Padang Ekspres, ditemukan  pelaku pemerintah dapat dikeluarkan dari teks. Pengeluaran (eksklusi) dilakukan dengan strategi pasivasi, Dari hasil penelitian, ada tiga tujuan redaksi menggunakan perhatian eksklusi dari pemberitaan tersebut. Pertama, untuk menyembunyikan atau menghilangkan pelaku dari pemberitaan. Kedua, untuk meringankan kesalahan pelaku dengan pemasifan kalimat. Ketiga, penggantian subjek dengan pemakaian anak kalimat untuk memberikan keterangan.Kata kunci: pemosisian aktor, eksklusi pasivasi Padang Ekspres  AbstractThe focus of this research is the positioning of actors in the case of government grants with an exclusion discourse strategy in Padang Ekspres newspaper using a form of passivity. This study uses text and language analysis methods, namely content analysis. Content analysis is a research technique for making replicable inferences and validating data with due regard to the context. This method emphasizes the researcher to see the truth of the text qualitatively, how the researcher interprets the content of the text and interprets the content of the symbolic interactions that occur in the text. Based on the analysis and discussion of the news of Covid-19 funding related to the government in Padang Ekspres, it was found that government actors could be excluded from the text. Expenditures (exclusion) were carried out with a passivation strategy. From the results of the study, It was found that there were there purposes using exclusionary attention from the news First, to hide or eliminate the perpetrator from the news. Second, to alleviate the offender’s mistakes by inserting sentences. Abstract

Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan menginterpretasi proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring, efektivitas penggunaan Aplikasi Komunikasi Google Meet pada pembelajaran daring, dan kelebihan serta kekurangan penggunaan aplikasi komunikasi Google Meet pada pembelajaran daring. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian kualitatif. Pengambilan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisisnya menggunakan teori Miles dan Huberman dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, pengambilan keputusan, dan triangulasi. Hasilnya pembelajaran menggunakan google meet menjadikan proses pembelajaran di SMK Harapan Lamasi menjadi lebih variatif. Proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring menggunakan google meet dilakukan dengan sistem tanya jawab, diskusi, penugasan, problem solving, blended learning, dan metode ceramah. Pembelajaran daring menggunakan aplikasi komunikasi google meet dapat dikatakan efektif untuk digunakan selama pandemi covid-19 ini mengingat dari hasil pelaksanaan pembelajarannya telah terjadi interaksi yang intensif, adanya tanya jawab, ada respon, ada penugasan, ada quiz. Adapun kelebihan dari aplikasi komunikasi google meet antara lain : mudah digunakan, durasi penggunaannya bisa lama, hemat kuota, jaringan stabil, dan fitur-fitur di google meet menarik dan dapat melakukan share screen. Sementara kekurangannya antara lain : suara yang sering noise, kualitas video yang tidak jernih, suara yang tidak stabil, siswa pasif, dan lingkungan belajar tidak kondusif.
