Abstract

The development of automotive technology to date is very fast. In the city, it is almost rare to find conventional cars. Most are already using modern technology. The hallmark of modern cars is that they are not fully mechanical. Already combined with several electric and pneumatic tools. Until now the development in the field of chassis is endless. Its initial development began with the discovery of ABS (Anti Lock Brake System) brakes. Basically, ABS is followed by supporting components such as EBD, ESP, and so on.All of this is actually inseparable from the main function of braking. Namely so that the car can run well,, deceleration and stop as desired appropriately. The parts of the brakes that are most influential are the brake shoes and discs and the compressed air from the brakes. Also the most influential accuracy is the distance of the brake shroud. Therefore, in this study the aims of 1. To find the effect of pressure and brake shroud distance. 2. What is the minimum air pressure and brake shroud for the brakes to work properly (grip). This research uses experimental design method. The data is processed with the Minitab program. Data processing shows that: 1. The braking speed is influenced by the amount of compressed air pressure. Partially the distance of the brake shroud does not affect the braking speed. But the interaction of pressure and shroud distance has an effect on braking speed. 2. Air pressure that can be used as a fast ABS braking process is 3.75 – 4.25 (bar) with a shroud distance of 5 (mm). Keywords: Compressor Air Pressure, Braking Accuracy, Antilock Braking System

Abstract

There are various methods to improve vehicle performance, including by blending fuels. In addition to bioethanol that can increase octane rating, there is the use of additives in vehicle fuels that are known to increase octane rating. With the addition of additives such as octane boosters and bioethanol, it is expected to increase the degree of ignition, reduce knocking, achieve more complete combustion, and automatically increase vehicle power.This study aims to analyze the power and torque of a four-stroke motorcycle by considering the addition of bioethanol and octane boosters to Pertamax fuel. Experimental method was used with variation of bioethanol concentration and octane booster in fuel as test parameters. This study provides insight into the potential for power improvement in the use of Pertamax fuel on four-stroke motorcycles through the addition of bioethanol and octane booster. The implications of these findings can serve as a basis for the development of more efficient and sustainable fuels for four-stroke motorcycles.

Abstract

Fuel plays an important role in vehicle performance, and octane rating is one of the main factors. One innovation is to blend the fuel with additives such as bioethanol that can increase octane and reduce emissions of pollutants such as CO, CO2, HC, and NOx. This study examines the use of an affordable and readily available blend of bioethanol and camphor as an alternative fuel. In addition, this study also aims to determine the most effective blend variation to reduce exhaust emissions. This study uses an experimental method by manipulating one or more independent variables and measuring their effect on the dependent variable. The independent variables in this study are 10%, 15%, and 20% bioethanol mixture and camphor 5 grams, 10 grams, and 15 grams in Pertamax. As for the dependent variable is the exhaust gas content with variations in engine speed of 1500, 3000, and 4500 rpm. The study data were then presented in tabular form and analyzed using the two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA Two Way) method along with the data graph. The results showed a decrease in CO levels by 19.51% at 1500 RPM and 84.13% at 3000 RPM and a decrease in HC by 37.44% at 1500 RPM and 48.68% at 4500 RPM.

Abstract

High concentrations of pollutants from incomplete combustion of motor vehicles have an impact on the surrounding environment and the health of living things. Incomplete combustion as a result of the design of the combustion chamber and the type of fuel used that does not correspond to its compression ratio. To improve the octane value of the fuel can be mixed bioethanol, because this alternative fuel is environmentally friendly. The purpose of knowing how much the change in the emission values of CO, HC, O2 and CO2 when using 92 octane fuel, and 95. additionally determines the change when using 92 octane fuel mixed with bioethanol 5, 15, 25%. The method of mixing fuel with bioethanol using splash blending method and exhaust emission testing based on dynamic method when the engine speed of 1250 to 9000rpm to obtain data. Furthermore, the test data processed by ANOVA. The result is a change in emissions of 0.07% CO, 16ppm HC, 2.3% CO2 and 0.2% oxygen at Octane 92, the change in emissions was 0.32 CO, 54ppm HC, 1.54% CO2 and 0.44% O2 when using BE25% fuel mixed with 95octane

Abstract

Pembangunan infrastruktur di desa memiliki peran peran penting dalam mempercepat dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan penduduk. Dengan infrastruktur yang berkualitas, beragam sektor penting seperti kesehatan, pendidikan, pertanian, dan pariwisata dapat didukung dengan baik, sehingga akan menghasilkan dampak positif. Desa Jombor merupakan salah satu desa di Kecamatan Jumo Kabupaten Temanggung. Pembangunan infrastruktur desa di Desa Jombor saat ini berjalan dengan baik, beberapa pembangunan baik fasilitas sosial maupun fasilitas umum sudah hampir merata ke penjuru Desa dengan dukungan dana pemerintah maupun swadaya. Permasalahan yang terjadi saat ini akan dibangun jalan dan talud pada ruas jalan kampung, dengan melihat kondisi lapangan diperlukan pendampingan perencanaan untuk pekerjaan tersebut agar jalan dan jembatan dapat dibangun sesuai dengan standar teknis, keamanan, kekuatan serta keefektifan. Dibutuhkan desain yang sesuai dengan kondisi nyata dilapangan dengan memerhatikan standar teknis, keamanan, kekuatan, keefektifan serta pemanfaatannya. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah mendampingi masyarakat dalam merencanakan perencanaan pembangunan jalan dan talud untuk memastikan tercapainya kualitas hasil pembangunan infrastruktur yang sesuai dengan standar teknis dan fungsinya. Solusi permasalahan yang diberikan pada kegiatan ini adalah Penerapan IPTEK dilakukan dalam beberapa tahap, yaitu pengumpuan data dan survei wawancara, survei lapangan/ observasi lapangan. Selanjutnya setelah mengetahui kebutuhan pada wilayah kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat, disusun dokumen perencanaan Pendampingan Perencanaan Pekerjaan Jalan dan Talud, kemudian dilakukan Sosialisasi Pelatihan dan Pendampingan Perencanaan Infrastruktur sehingga masyarakat dapat menyusun perencanaan sesuai dengan standar teknis, keamanan, kekuatan, keefektifan serta pemanfaatannya .

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh yang signifikan dengan dilakukannya kalibrasi atau remapping ECU standar pabrikan terhadap daya dan torsi pada motor bensin 4 silinder 2000 cc. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode desain eksperimental. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah remapping sudut pengapian dan durasi injeksi. Variabel terkontrol pada penelitian ini adalah putaran mesin 2000, 2500, 3000, 3500, 4000, 4500, 5000, 5500, dan 6000 yang diterapkan pada saat pengujian daya dan torsi. Sedangkan variabel terikat pada penelitian ini adalah Daya dan Torsi. Hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai data daya tertinggi sebesar 124,56 HP dicapai pada rpm 5500 saat menggunakan ECU standar, sedangkan daya tertinggi setelah remapping ECU adalah 128,76 HP dicapai pada rpm 5500, artinya terdapat peningkatan daya sebesar 4,2 HP. Untuk nilai data torsi tertinggi saat menggunakan ECU standar sebesar 173,79 Nm dicapai pada rpm 4000, sedangkan ECU remapping menghasilkan torsi sebesar 178,35 Nm dicapai pada rpm 4000, artinya terdapat peningkatan torsi sebesar 4,56 Nm.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh pengunaan minyak nabati yang dicampur dengan cairan pengental oil sebagai pengisi terhadap kecepatan getaran shock absorber. Pengujian dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat uji beban jatuh seberat 50 kg dari ketinggian 20 cm, 25 cm, 30 cm, dan kecepatan getaran di ukur menggunakan alat vibration meter yang menempel pada shock absorber kemudian untuk mengukur viskositas fluida menggunakan viskometer kinematik. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen. Dimana untuk mengetahui hasilnya dilakukan pengumpulan data dan analisis data secara langsung dengan mengatur ketinggian beban dan jenis minyak nabati yang telah dicampur dengan cairan pengental untuk digunakan sebagai pengisi shock absorber. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah adanya pengaruh terhadap kecepatan getaran pada shock absorber dengan perbedaan nilai vikositas dari masing-masing jenis minyak nabati yang digunakan serta variasi ketinggian beban jatuh.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi di bidang otomotif mendorong masyarakat untuk menciptakan berbagai inovasi salah satunya alat transportasi yaitu kendaraan Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV). Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh yang signifikan dengan dilakukannya kalibrasi atau  remapping ECU standar pabrikan terhadap torsi pada motor bensin 4 silinder 2000 cm3.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode desain eksperimental. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah remapping sudut pengapian (std, std +2˚, std +4˚) dan durasi injeksi (std, std +2 Ms, std +4 Ms). Hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai sudut pengapian std +2˚ dan durasi injeksi std +2 Ms merupakan variasi yang menghasilkan torsi paling optimal yaitu sebesar 176 Nm. Pada sudut pengapian std +4˚ dan durasi injeksi std +2 Ms; sudut pengapian std +2˚ dan durasi injeksi std +4Ms; sudut pengapian std +4˚ dan durasi injeksi std +4 Ms, nilai torsi yang dihasilkan cenderung menurun.

Abstract

UKM Citara is developing a seaweed processing business and cultivating catfish in bioflock ponds together with community members as a food security effort due to the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic at the beginning of 2020. Several government/private agencies have visited UKM to learn about seaweed processing and bioflock catfish cultivation, including vocational school students/internship students.  The problem is that the cultivation area of ​​± 2,000 m has not been utilized optimally and SMEs do not yet have an educational tourism concept for their visitors. The aim of the activity is to optimize land use and design a pilot concept for bioflock fish cultivation tourism. The hope is that the cultivated land will be utilized optimally and there will be educational facilities for other parties who come to UKM. The activity method is creating a tourism edu pilot concept in the form of learning tutorials and exploring places at UKM Citara, creating visual images of tourism edu pilots, installing smart ponds, gazebos, gates and irrigation channels in the UKM Citara bioflock fish farming area. The result of this community service activity is the realization of the concept and realization of a tourism edu pilot for seaweed processing and bioflock fish cultivation at UKM Citara which can improve the functionality of ± 2,000 m of empty land which was originally only used for bioflock fish cultivation, then developed into a tourism edu pilot area. which is useful. Visitors can receive education in the form of tutorials on processing seaweed products and cultivating bioflock fish and can explore seaweed processing and bioflock fish cultivation sites. This activity has increased the use of empty land and realized a pioneering educational tourism concept that needs further development.

Abstract

Heat Treament process has experiencing progress driven by improvements in science and technology. The heat treatment process has the aim to form the properties of metals with different work to be achieved in accordance with the objectives being made, heat treatment can also be used to change certain useful properties or for specific purposes for manufacture, such as: escalating machine ability characteristic, restoring the elasticity after cold work operations. The Purpose of the study to determine the effect of carbon equivalent and viscosity of cooling oil on the microstructure and hardness of steel in the hardening process. The method of the study is by doing a hardening process on the specimen with the temperature according to the thickness and composition of specimen. Then the cooling process is done using SAE 10 oil, SAE 40 oil, and SAE 90 oil. Then micro photo testing and hardness test are done with Vickers. The results of the study are, the carbon equivalent equivalent to violence results in a carbon equivalent value that has a significant effect on response because the P-value is smaller than alpha (P-value <α). On the influence of the cool oil viscosity to the hardness, the oil viscosity results have a significant effect on the response because the P-value is smaller than alpha (P-value <α). Whereas the interaction between variations in carbon equivalent and the viscosity of the coolant oil does not significantly influence the response because the P-value is greater than alpha (P-value> α). For the highest average hardness value on VCN 150 using SAE 10 oil at 486.5 HV and the lowest using SAE 40 oil at 450.7 HV, while on S45C steel the highest hardness using SAE 10 oil at 276.5 HV and the lowest hardness using SAE 40 oil is 249.7 HV. In the analysis of micro carbon equivalent structure and oil viscosity which has the highest average hardness value because it has a dominant martensitic structure. Whereas specimens that have ferrite structure still dominate compared to martensite which have the lowest mean hardness value.
