Abstract

Digital technology continues to develop until now such as in Industry 4.0. In the industry, many still use conventional systems such as Induction Motor Starters using the Direct on Line (DOL) System. This study aims to build a system to be able to upgrade conventional systems to digital-based systems. The method used is testing by making a design and then comparing the data obtained to see the response time. From the results of the study, the system can work well. Both testing on conventional systems and online systems. In conventional systems, the system works faster with an average response time of less than 1 second, while with an online system, the response depends on the internet network used so that an average of 1.6 seconds is obtained. In addition, the results of testing using internet of things software show that the system is integrated between conventional systems and digital systems where when the induction motor is ON, a current reading of around 60A will be obtained on the IoT software display and when the motor is OFF, the current reading will drop to close to 0 Ampere.

Abstract

Vertical roller mill is a combination of the system on millstone and rocker arm, in the process the millstone is driven by a motor so that it can rotate, the material enters through the middle of the millstone, with the centrifugal force the material above the millstone is ground by a roller which is pressured by a hydraulic cylinder. Tyre I experienced the largest wear rate with a total wear rate of 46,79 gr/hour, Tyre II experienced a wear rate of 38,58 gr/hour, Tyre III experienced a wear rate of 31,74 gr/hour, and the smallest Tyre IV experienced a wear rate of 24,90 gr /hour. And maintenance is done on the main components of the vertical mill so that the raw mix material can be processed properly.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat bagaimana pengaruh besarnya bukaan slice terhadap kecepatan alir stock dan bagaimana pengaruhnya terhadap formasi kertas, sehingga kualitas kertas yang dihasilkan tetap terjaga memenuhi kriteria konsumen. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan persamaan bernoulli dengan azas kontinuitas fluida. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa  kecepatan kecepatan alir stock dengan bukaan slice kecil dengan bukaan 7 mm adalah sebesar 17,33 m/s dan kecepatan alir stock dengan bukaan slice besar dengan bukaan 8,4 mm adalah sebesar 12,02 m/s. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa bukaan slice yang besar pada headbox mengakibatkan kecepatan alirnya akan lambat dan kualitas pembentukan formasi kertas tidak akan sesuai standar dan pada bukaan slice yang kecil pada headbox mengakibatkan kecepatan alirnya semakin cepat dan kualitas yang dihasilkan akan sesuai dengan standar yang telah ditentukan.

Abstract

Fluid circulation system is a process that is often carried out in wastewater treatment, chemical industry processes or feed water for boilers. Controlling and monitoring the flow and level of fluid in the circulation system is very vital in a process, especially in the chemical industry process. The Internet of things using the ESP8266 device can be utilized for the effectiveness and efficiency of control and monitoring. In this study, flow sensors and level sensors are combined into a flow and level control model in a fluid circulation system with circulation between 2 tanks. The accuracy of tank level measurement is 97.05% when compared between actual measurements and measurements on wirelessly connected devices. The actuator response in the circulation system is the main part that will be modeled and built on wireless applications and a fairly reliable response is obtained even though there is an average response delay of 1.28 seconds. From the results of the research that was developed, it has been able to become a level and flow control and monitoring system using the ESP 8266 device as part of the control and monitoring system developed in the industrial 4.0 scheme.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of holding time variations on the structure, electrical and magnetic properties of ZnO doped with Ni. The fabrication of the samples used the solid state reaction method with a high speed shaker mill and continued with sintering at temperature of 900oC with variable holding time of 2, 4 and 8 hours. Samples doped with Ni have a hexagonal wurtzite polycrystalline structure. The holding time treatment causes a shift in the diffraction peak in the Ni-doped ZnO. This indicates a change in crystal parameters such as lattice parameters and crystal size. The crystal size of Zn0.97Ni0.03O increased with increasing holding time. The longer the holding time, the longer the diffusion that occurs from the heat effect, so that the small grains have sufficient time to combine (agglomerate) into large grains. The resistivity of Zn0.97Ni0.03O samples with holding time of 2, 4 and 8 hours was obtained increasing which caused a decrease in the conductivity value of Zn0.97Ni0.03O.
