Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of the phonics method applied for the beginning reading abilities of children aged 4-6 years at the Khalifah Islamic School Kindergarten. This research was carried out through classroom action research, which was carried out on children aged 4-6 years consisting of 2 classes. For each class a sample of 19 students was taken. This research method uses an ex post facto method using a quantitative approach with data analysis techniques using a difference test with α = 0.05 and dk = n1. With an average final score (X) of 64.39, Median 8.5, Mode 17.5, Variance 92.88, Standard Deviation 9.63, Highest Value 76, and Lowest Value 45, while the result (Y) score final average 11.92, Median 14.7, Mode 15.7, Variance 9.59, Standard Deviation 3.09, Highest value 16, and Lowest value 7. After conducting research and processing the data using the mean difference test The average (t), obtained at 27.47 with the criterion α = 0.05, obtained at 2.04, thus it can be concluded that tcount > ttable, namely 27.47 > 2.04. This means that the hypothesis used is rejection of Ho, and acceptance of H1. After the author analyzed the data at a significant level of α=0.05, it can be concluded that there is effectiveness of the phonics method in reading early English for children aged 4-6 years at the Khalifah Islamic School Kebayoran Baru Kindergarten, South Jakarta.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan untuk orang tua di lingkungan RA Nurusssa’adah RT 007 RW 005 Tanjung Barat, Jagakarsa, Jakarta Selatan. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan sosialisasi tentang pendampingan kepada orang tua dalam upaya mendampingi anak belajar di rumah di masa pandemi Covid-19. Hasil yang diperoleh bahwa orang tua menjalankan dua peran sekaligus di rumah, yang pertama menjadi orang tua dan kedua menjadi guru; menyediakan sarana dan juga prasarana kepada anak; memberikan semangat dan motivasi kepada anak. Kesulitan yang dihadapi orang tua dalam pembelajaran daring di RA Nurusssa’adah RT 007 RW 005 Tanjung Barat, Jagakarsa, Jakarta Selatan yaitu latar belakang Pendidikan orang tua mempengaruhi tingkat kemudahan orang tua dalam mendidik anak; tingkat ekonomi orang tua mempengaruhi proses pembelajaran secara daring terutama dalam memfasilitasi pembelajaran daring anak; kesulitan membagi waktu antara anak dan pekerjaan; jumlah anggota keluarga juga mempengaruhi orang tua dalam memberikan bimbingan kepada anak dalam belajar di rumah.

Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah memberikan wawasan tambahan dalam pembelajaran kosakata Bahasa Inggris melalui penggunaan lagu berbahasa Inggris sebagai media. Langkah ini merupakan upaya guru untuk membantu peserta didik mengembangkan kosakata mereka secara maksimal. Pembelajaran yang dilakukan dengan cara menyenangkan akan membantu siswa lebih mudah memahami materi yang diajarkan oleh guru. Salah satu contohnya adalah pengenalan dan pengembangan kosakata Bahasa Inggris dengan memanfaatkan lagu sebagai media pembelajaran. Tim Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat juga memberikan pelatihan kepada guru terkait strategi pengembangan kosakata Bahasa Inggris bagi siswa. Pihak sekolah memberikan tanggapan positif dan siap menjalin kemitraan dalam program ini.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out about technological progress in the film that explains and represents technological progress in the movie Dejavu, namely the development in the scheme and story containing the Theory of Relativity previously proposed by Albert Einstein. This is in several explanations and interpretations of logic, namely the proof of the representation of space and time with electromagnetic wave tools, which are widely available in our environment, although sometimes less realized, for example, an instrument that occurs every time we travel either on foot or by using a vehicle, then the acceleration produced will also be different in space and time. That is an example of an instrument that will be explained through a film work. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative method and uses the Theory of Relativity consisting of Acceleration Relativity, Time Expansion, Lorentz Contraction, and Mass and Energy Relativity. Based on the results of this Dejavu movie research, it can explain in detail how an object can move from one place to another, with a percentage connecting the Theory of Relativity with this Dejavu movie, it is concluded that Acceleration Relativity has 8 scenes (65%), Time Expansion has 3 scenes (15%), Lorentz Contraction has 2 scenes (10%), and Mass and Energy Relativity has 1 scene (5%). Acceleration relativity is present in certain accelerations although from science there are still some things that are still under development, in addition to technological advances based on CGI (Common Gateway Interface) which is a benchmark for combining technology in a film so that the understanding that is done can be conveyed clearly and realistically.
