Abstract

The Ujung Gading-Simpang Empat road section has the highest number of accidents in West Pasaman Regency. Accidents that occur at a location range from minor injuries to death. This research aims to determine the main factors influencing accidents, accident characteristics, and black spots and find solutions to minimize accidents. Research method, the method used is a quantitative descriptive method. Driver factors are the biggest factor causing accidents with 330 cases in 2018-2022. Apart from driver factors, vehicle factors also influence traffic accidents with 75 cases in the 2018-2022 period. Analysis of the Highest Accident Rate using the Accident Equivalent Number (AEK) method, and to calculate the number of accidents and the Upper Control Limit (UCL) method to determine accident-prone locations. The data used is the 2018-2022 West Pasaman Traffic Police traffic accident report data which is grouped based on characteristics. Based on the calculation results, the Ujung Gading-Sungai Aur road section has an AEK value of 1081 and UCL 1,036, Sungai Aur-Simpang Tiga Alin with an AEK value of 697 and UCL 884m26, and Simpang Tiga Alin-Simpang Empat with an AEK value of 690 and UCL 840.77. So these three roads are declared as accident-prone areas (black spots). To minimize the number of accidents, efforts are made by law enforcement (Enforcement), education (Education), and engineering (Engineering).

Abstract

The Kelok 9 Bridge is uniquely designed and supported by a beautiful natural panorama. On one of these 9 curves, a rest area has been provided for road traffic users to rest, or for urgent needs when driving on the road, but because of its strategic location and very beautiful shape, it is often used as a tourist destination by most people. who travel to or from West Sumatra. This raises a new problem, this is because the local community sells by building buildings on the shoulder of the 9th bend. So the purpose of this study is to determine the effect of side friction on the performance of the 9th road section based on the level of service. This research examined the data and then analyzed using the Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines. So on Sunday from 16.00-17.00 the h, the highest traffic volume value is obtained, with a traffic volume of 2.2221 Skr/hour and has area of Saturation of 0.613, indicating that the traffic conditions are heavy. Because the Degree of Saturation value is 0.613, the level of service for Jalan Kelok 9 C can be concluded that the flow is stable but the speed of vehicle movement is controlled.

Abstract

Abstract

Natural phenomena that occur often cause disasters and losses for the community and cause some losses both from social, financial, education and so on. Therefore advances in the world of construction and technology in the scope of water here play a very important role in analyzing a disaster that occurs, one of which is flooding. Based on the method used in this research is descriptive quantitative where the analysis is carried out by modeling the cross-sectional capacity of the watershed using the help of HEC-RAS software with a case study of river capacity analysis for rainfall in the watershed in Nagari Kampuang Galapuang Ulakan with a river stem length of 19 km and an area of river 115 km² the analysis interview process was carried out directly to the local community affected by the incident and resulted in a conclusion explaining that the Batang Ulakan Watershed can reach its maximum discharge in just 2 hours 6 minutes 25 seconds. To achieve a peak discharge of 9.51 m³/s from its normal discharge. And during the 25 to 50 year planned rainfall return period, the cross-sectional capacity data found that the geological conditions which have elevations that are not much different between the river sections and residents' settlements have little difference, resulting in the Batang Ulakan Watershed section, Nagari, Galapuang Village, on average, overflowing as high as 0.447 m in each of the Batang Ulakan Region Watershed in the Galapuang Village
