Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

The Qur'an as the main source of law in Islam rules various kinds of criminal offenses and their punishments called Jarīmah. This is relevant to the purpose of God's laws implemented for the benefit and happiness of human beings. This article aims to present the discourse of Islamic criminal law in the Indonesian context. Furthermore, there are four kinds of relations in the punishment, namely; 1) principal punishment, 2) substitute punishment, 3) additional punishment, and 4) complementary punishment. Abstract

The history of the Jewish nation is a complex topic, encompassing various historical, theological, and moral dimensions, one of which is outlined in the Qur'an. The narration of the Jews in the Qur'an, scattered throughout various surahs and verses, often highlights their behavior—both exemplary and avoidable—as a lesson for humanity. This research aims to analyze in depth the Jewish nation as mentioned in the Qur'an. The research method used is qualitative, with data collection techniques through documentation. After the data are collected, the analysis is carried out by reducing the data, presenting the data, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the narration of the Jewish people in the Qur'an includes praise of them as descendants glorified by God and illustrates the various extraordinary gifts given to the Jewish people. These verses were revealed to provide lessons and warnings to the Prophet Muhammad and Muslims to face challenges patiently and believe that the truth will ultimately prevail. In addition, the Qur'an also explains that the Jews made mistakes that led to God's wrath, offering a warning about the consequences of iniquity.

Abstract

Women have always been an interesting topic to discuss, and the discussion of women gets a sizable portion in the Qur'an. But unfortunately, there are still some narrow views in patriarchal culture that discriminate against women. This paper aims to highlight and analyze in depth the virtues and privileges of women in the Qur'an, which so far are still considered as subordinates. The method used in this study is a library research method with a semantic approach, this approach is used to examine the verses of the Qur'an related to the privileges of women and who the women mentioned in the Qur'an are. The results showed several women mentioned in the Qur'an Maryam, Fatât Madyan, Imara'atu Fir'ûn, Malika Saba', Imra'atu Imran, Maryam bint Imran and Khaulah bint Tha'labah. Their stories in the Koran confirm that women have excelled in both spiritual and professional careers, and that their strengths aren't domination by one gender. This argument gives a different perspective that women also have equal opportunities to achieve, do good, and enter the political, leadership, social and economic spheres.

Abstract

The article overviewed the Qur’anic textual authority in practices and the concept of living in Qur’anic behaviours for Monotheism and Sufism, a council of study in Aceh province. As it is known for a board of study existence, Majelis Pengkajian Tauhid Tasawuf Indonesia (MPTTI) is growing more controversial regarding religious harmony in Islamic group society and its particular Sufism teaching. Nevertheless, despite these controversial phenomena, the council retains its teaching principles. The board exclusively refers to its teaching on Qur’an scriptures and verses as countermeasures of marginality and oppression. The committee believed in the authority of Sufism teaching, which was baselined on the Qur’an. The article projected how the council employs the scripture to formulate Sufism with a phenomenology approach to the engagement of living hadith in practice. Later, the board exploits the scripture as the source to establish critique for disavowing acceptance behaviours in society. The council intends to restore the communal into the proper stream of Islamic tradition. Parallel to these intriguing findings, the commission proclaims the Al Qur’an as an appropriate establishment of primary character reference. Eventually, the fascinating texts employed by the council also drive to strengthen the validity of council identity on national and even international coverage, which overlaps other boards in the region.
