Abstract

TPE has been renewed and changed. One of the reason is the change of the instruction of liturgy text translation from its original Latin Misal text. Comme Le Prevoit (1969) favored sense translation. And Liturgiam Authenticam (2001) instead changed for literal translation. For the example that will be explained in this writing is the changed of Greeting translation, notably the people’s answer. The former translation is “Dan sertamu juga”, based on Insctruction Comme le Prevoit. The new translation is “Dan bersama rohmu”, based on the principal instruction of Liturgiam Authenticam. We need to explain the reason of the renewal translation, the biblical context and the interpretation of the text.

Abstract

There are various forms and dynamics of mission and power relationship in the early development of Christianity. By reading the history of Western colonialism of the East, will give clearly description that the mission was presented in conjunction with the colonial. In the Archipelago, the Catholic mission represented along the Portuguese colonization (1543-1666).2 Thus, VOC in 1606-1800 amputated this Catholic mission. And then, the mission reanimated in Nederland Hindia by King Louise Napoleon, the French Catholic of Dutch master in the 1800s. Nevertheless, power relationship of mission and the Dutch colonial government was in suffering situation. Dutch colonial government had a political interest in the presence of the Catholic mission. Conversely, the mission itself took advantages from its proximity of the Dutch colonialism. In fact, there was a kind of symbiotic mutualism between the mission and the Dutch colonial government. It brought the postcolonial impact to the life of Catholic mission during that time, and for the development of Indonesian local Catholic Church in future.

Abstract

Manusia sekaligus merupakan homo religious dan homo consumer. Secara material, tubuh manusia yang satu dan sama sekaligus merupakan tubuh religius dan tubuh konsumen. Kini, dalam masyarakat konsumen dengan budaya konsumsi muncul problem dalam pemaknaan seorang makhluk religius terhadap tubuhnya. Umumnya, peningkatan religiositas seseorang dalam agama, salah satu upayanya adalah dengan pengontrolan, pengaturan dan pengendalian hasrat kebertubuhan umatnya. Sementara itu, budaya konsumsi yang menggiurkan mengedepankan eksploitasi berbagai sumber kenikmatan dan kepuasan konsumsi. Ada ambiguitas dalam pemaknaan dan pengalaman kebertubuhan seseorang sebagai insan religious dan manusia konsumen “zaman now”.

Abstract

Pandemic Covid-19 pada era disrupsi2 teknologi komunikasi dan informasi digital menjadi kondisi yang melahirkan praktek ritual “baru” dalam Gereja Katolik, yakni perayaan ekaristi atau misa online. Misa dirayakan di gereja-gereja lalu disiarkan secara langsung melalui media sosial, seperti Facebook dan Youtube. Sementara itu, umat mengikutinya dari tempatnya berada, entah dari rumah atau tempat lainnya. Hal ini melahirkan suatu pengalaman religious “baru”, yakni pengalaman akan kehadiran Allah yang semakin cair, tidak murni, campuran, sinkretik, penuh degradasi, terkikis, ambigu, ambivalen dan kabur oleh budaya masyarakat konsumen dan budaya media.
