Abstract

Adversity Quotient (AQ) is about how your respond to life, especially through the tough times. Adolescence is a transition phase of individuals from childhood to adulthood. Adolescents are challenged by many things in life, from everyday hassles to the big adversities of life. Family support often play major role for adolescent as model, as well as genetically transferred such traits to be able to confront their life issues. Sometimes family doesn’t provide the support needed by adolescent.The purpose of this study was to examine the AQ differences of adolescents from a whole family and adolescents from broken family. The population in this study are students of SMPN 1 Lekok, Pasuruan. The sample used are 60 students, taken by random sampling technique. Data collection using AQ scalewith validity coefficient between 0.312 – 0.597 and reliability coefficient equal to 0.644379. Identitiy form are used to seek students’ family background. The results of this research using intergroup t-tes shows thit is -0.10494 smaller than ttab 5% is 2.000, thus non-significant. There is no difference in AQ of adolescents from whole family and adolescents from broken family.

Abstract

This research is to examine the relationship between action genre cartoons with student aggressivity. The subjects of this research are students of grade V and VI elementary school. Participative observation with aggressivity checklist was used to measure student aggressivity. Likert scale was used to measure the independent variable by using action cartoon scale. Pearson‘s product moment was used to analysis the results, found a high significance of correlation between action genre cartoon with student aggressivity.

Abstract

Mental retardation refers to significantly subaverage general intellectual functioning existing concurrently with deficits in adaptive behavior, and manifested during the developmental period. Each developmental period has developmental task, which an individual needs to achieved. Therefore, this article is made to explain the achievement on  developmental task of school-aged children with mental retardation. Method used to analyze data is qualitative, explanatory case study. Purposive sampling technique found two (2) school-aged children with moderate mental retardation, as research subjects. Data gathered by using observation, interview, and psychological test (Stanford-Binet and VSMS). The result of this study is that the two subjects both able to achieved the school-aged developmental tasks, with limitations. Developmental tasks related with social interaction and gross motor are relatively achieved, than tasks related with intellectual functioning.

Abstract

The diagnosis of mental retardation with ADHD in children, statistically record 8% - 39%. Children with mental retardation, requires certain ways to maximize their potential and quality of life. The condition ADHD are likely brought certain challenges to the handling of these children. This article presents the description of mentally retarded children with ADHD in their natural setting, school and home. It’s a qualitative research, descriptive case study, with holistic multi-case design. Purposive sampling technique found two (2) children as research subjects. Pattern matching technique is used for data analysis. The result of this study shows challenges for school teacher while working with mentally retarded with ADHD children. Accommodate their ADHD in positive and productive activities, are likely helps the handling of their mental retardation condition

Abstract

Behaviors that show failure to manage a relationship and interact with the environment and failure to manage and control emotions more often in youth, such as rudeness, abuse of others, even self-injury. One factor that affects the emotional intelligence of a youth is the family environment especially a parent, the teen's perception of a parent's closeness that affects attitudes, views, assessments, and the quality of relationships that grow. This closeness is made by parents and youth essential to shaping emotional intelligence, as parental experience becomes the basis of emotional learning to internalize life. The purpose of this study is to determine if there is a connection between a child's perception of parental closeness and the emotional intelligence of a teen. The population used was 475 high school students, sampling taken with sampling techniques of 21% a total of 100 students. Coefficient validity of the scale of a youth's emotional intelligence is acquired between 0.3307 to 0.6120 and some of its religious coefficiencies. 7391. The child's perception of a parent's closeness scale is between 0.3726 and 0.5912 and the religious coefficiencies of 0.8307. The correlation test shows rxy = 0.4007 with are table 1% = 0.256 and freg = 18,7464 with table 1% = 6.63, the more positive the child's perception of parent proximity, the higher the emotional intelligence.

Abstract

Being an athlete is not easy, to achieve maximum results requires readiness starting from physical, technical, tactical readiness as well as mental readiness. The main factor that must be prepared by athletes is mental readiness. Mental readiness itself mainly includes anxiety, where anxiety can trigger an athlete's psychology. This study aims to determine whether there is an effect between injury on the anxiety of martial art satria agung athletes. The hypothesis in this study is that the higher / heavier an athlete has experienced, the higher the anxiety felt by an athlete, and vice versa, the lower or less severe the injury experienced by an athlete, the lower the anxiety felt by an athlete. The subjects of this study were 75 athletes. The collection was done by distributing two scales, namely the scale of anxiety and also the scale of injury. Based on the validity calculation, 28 valid items and 12 invalid items with a reliability correlation of 0.978 are obtained. In the injury scale, 29 valid items and 11 invalid items were obtained with a reliability correlation of 0.718. From the calculation results obtained Fcount 163.495 stated as significant because f count> from f table 1% is 5.29, It can be concluded that the hypothesis in this study is accepted.

Abstract

In various countries, including Indonesia, there are frequent phenomena of premarital sexual behavior. These phenomena do not only occur in big cities even this phenomenon in the village also often happens. Many teenagers who are dating often engage in sexual behavior, so that leaves a lot of unwed, pregnat women. The pourpose of this study to find out if there is a relationship between a parents communication model and premarital sex tendencies. The hypothesis in this study is There is a parental communication model with preeten sexual behavior tendencies. In this study, researchers used a quantitative approach in an effort to test the hypotheses that have been compiled. While the subjects in this study were teenagers in Mojotengah Village, Sukorejo District, Pasuruan Regency. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Retrieval of data in this study using a scale model of parent-child communication and the scale of the tendency of premarital sex behavior. Data analysis was calculated by using one predictor regression analysis, and obtained F of 11.971 with p = 0.001. Thus the results of this calculation indicate that there is a significant relationship between communication between the child's parents and premarital sexual behavior.

Abstract

Pre-adolescent development tasks occur in children aged 6-12 years, through social interactions driven by the support and praise of the nearest person children will develop a sense of pride about abilities, eradicate Creativity, train skills, have responsibilities and build a sense of competence. The phenomenon that happens is the role of father and mother that is invisible in the task of pre-adolescent development on the subject. In addition, the subject's behavior is like saying harsh, bullying and feeling ruled by the possibility is a form of compensation for the subject's failures in the development stage. This phenomenon shows that this is important to watch. This research is aimed at finding out the role of pre-adolescent development underpinned by the role of father and mother. This research was carried out in the Market Capital area, the subject of the research was two brothers who lived with her ears. This study uses interview and observation methods, to verify data inactivity using triangular methods. Research shows that on informant 1 (NE) the pre-adolescent development task currently passed by the subject still needs intensity and commitment in a support and command from the nearest. While research on informant 2 (AL) shows that the pre-adolescent development task that the subject is currently undergoing is going well enough even though there is no father and mother role in the subject.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid 19 membawa perubahan dalam kehidupan, bahkan hingga di masa new normal. Hal ini tentu menambah tantangan bagi remaja dalam menghadapi krisis psikososial di fase ini. Metode kualitatif fenomenologi dipilih dalam penelitian ini, dengan tujuan memberikan gambaran mengenai proses perkembangan psikososial remaja serta faktor yang mempengaruhi. Pengambilan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, dilakukan terhadap tiga subjek beserta significant other. Subjek 1 dan subjek 2, berusia 15 tahun, pelajar SMP kelas 7, masih berusaha mengelola emosinya. Subjek 1 belum mampu mengekspresikan perasaaan maupun pemikirannya, belum merasa menjadi bagian dari kelompok teman sebaya, kurang minat mengeksplorasi diri, dan tidak ada orang dewasa yang bisa menjadi tempat berkeluh kesah ataupun memberi bimbingan. Subjek 2 memiliki memiliki beberapa teman dekat, menemukan minatnya dengan tetap mengeksplorasi dirinya, komunikasi terbuka dengan keluarga. Subjek 3, pelajar SMA kelas 11, sudah mampu mengelola emosi, berpikir secara logis untuk menyelesaikan masalah, dan memiliki teman-teman dekat di sekolah maupun di lingkungan rumah, serta dekat dengan Ibunya. Kemampuan keluarga dalam memberi dukungan dan memberi ruang gerak untuk remaja mengeksplorasi diri, tampaknya membantu remaja dalam menghadapi krisis psikososial di fase ini.

Abstract

Students working on a thesis can experience boredom, lack enthusiasm, and even lack motivation, which can be an obstacle to the completion of the thesis. Researchers distributed grit questionnaires aimed at students working on their theses at Yudharta Pasuruan University and found that most students needed more consistency of interest and higher resilience in trying. Therefore, students who are working on their thesis need to exercise self-control in order to complete it. Self-control is a belief that individuals have in acting and behaving and the ability of individuals to control these behaviors. Students need to have a high level of grit in order to be able to commit to their choices, even though it will be difficult and tedious. This study aimed to determine the effect of self-control on grit in students working on a thesis. The research method used is quantitative, with a sample of 234 8th-semester students working on their thesis. Based on the calculation, the r value is 0.776, which means the correlation between the self-control variable and grit is strong. The r2 value is 0.602, meaning self-control influences 60.2% of student grit. It is known that the sig. The value is 0.000, which is 0.000 <0.05; it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between self-control and grit in students working on their thesis.
