Abstract

This study aims to determine the goals, motives, and discourses on the identity of the West Sumatra overseas student reunion participants in Pekanbaru. Reunions have become popular and seem to be a way of life in our society. Communicative Action Theory will be used to identify a reunion between a school in Pekanbaru. This study uses a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. The results showed that the meaning of reunion was divided into three, namely the meaning of the purpose of silaturrahmi, the The motives are divided into the Bacarito Lamak motive, the fierce motive, and the Kepo motive. Furthermore, in the context of motifs consisting of motifs while diving, drinking water motives and motives provide greater benefits in the form of discussion motives and social motives. Identity discourse consists of appearance, self-actualisation, and connectivity rather than a show-off.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the prospects for the food and beverages business during the Covid-19 pandemic, through observation of the food and beverages business marketing communication strategy, in this case, the restaurant. The Covid-19 pandemic has devastated the restaurant business. The loss of restaurant entrepreneurs in 2020 is estimated at more than IDR 1 trillion. The research was conducted using marketing communication theory, including publications and advertising for company promotion. Several previous studies have highlighted the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the restaurant business in Indonesia. Among them are Niko Al-Hakim (2021) and Liliyana (2020). However, this research is different because the object of observation is a restaurant business that was only opened during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research was conducted using descriptive qualitative methods with a case study approach. As a result, the use of marketing communication promotion tools, in the form of publications and advertisements with a specific target audience, is very effective for company promotion during a pandemic because it can convey marketing messages with a budget that is not too expensive.

Abstract

This article examines the Batang Pungkut river ban hole in Mandailing Natal district, an ethnic Mandailing tradition that contains local wisdom in managing the environment. The urgency of this phenomenon is researched because environmental problems are a common (global) problem and are seen as a threat to collective survival. The research question consists of four questions: how is the communication strategy of preservation, opening of the Lubuk Larangan, and communication barriers in preservation and opening, and what impact do residents feel due to the Lubuk Larangan? The research approach used is qualitative with a qualitative descriptive method. The theory used is Robert Cox's environmental communication strategy, with relevant supporting theories, and reviewed through the perspective of Islamic communication. The results concluded that the communication strategies used were persuasive, educative, and coercive. The communication strategy used refers to the value of local wisdom poda na lima (five wise advice), dalihan na tolu (kinship system), and the value of Islamic communication values, namely communicating clearly (qaulan matsuran) and in delivering messages in communication and being gentle (qaulan balighan). Lubuk larangan is managed in stages, starting from identification, planning, production, and evaluation, and is relevant to Robert Cox's environmental communication strategy. The obstacles faced are unlicensed mining, fish theft, environmentally unfriendly fishing gear, internal organizational dynamics, and community awareness. The novelty of the research lies in the presence of transcedental (divine) aspects in the communication strategy applied, and serves as a guideline to maintain their hope. The impacts residents feel are ecological, socio-cultural, economic, and religious. In addition to providing local impacts, this tradition simultaneously impacts the global community.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses mediamorfosis majalah edisi cetak menjadi edisi digital. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori mediamorfosis Fidler (2003). Menurut Fidler, ada 6 prinsip dasar mediamorfosis, yakni koevolusi dan koeksistensi, metamorphosis, pewarisan, kemampuan bertahan, peluang dan kebutuhan, serta pengadopsian yang tertunda. Riset dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif dengan paradigma konstruktivis. Sebagai unit analisis dalam penelitian ini adalah Majalah Sunday, majalah gratis bulanan khusus untuk pelajar Sekolah Menengah Atas. Hasilnya, Majalah Sunday memenuhi prinsip mediamorfosis Fidler (2013), karena telah melakukan koevolusi dan koeksistensi, metamorphosis, pewarisan, kemampuan bertahan, peluang dan kebutuhan, serta pengadopsian yang tertunda. Mediamorfosis ini harus dilakukan, karena Majalah Sunday ingin tetap eksis pada saat pandemic Covid-19 melanda Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pola komunikasi organisasi di Paguyuban Abang Mpok Kabupaten Bekasi, Jawa Barat dan apa saja yang menjadi faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam prosesnya. Dalam sebuah organisasi tidak terlepas dari komunikasi. Banyak fenomena yang terjadi dalam sebuah organisasi, salah satunya adalah mengalami masalah dalam penyampaian informasi. Fakta dalam proses pola komunikasi organisasi di Paguyuban Abang Mpok Kabupaten Bekasi, terdapat berbagai macam pola dan opini di dalam organisasi. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif, yang bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran dari data yang diperoleh dari lapangan. Paguyuban Abang Mpok Kabupaten Bekasi menggunakan pola komunikasi sirkular ketika melakukan rapat koordinasi untuk mencapai tujuan organisasi yang telah disepakati bersama sehingga pekerjaan dapat diselesaikan tanpa adanya kesalahan. Solusi yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan mengadakan rapat koordinasi setiap minggunya dan sesekali mengadakan penyuluhan dan silaturahmi kepada seluruh anggota dan pengurus. This research aims to determine the organizational communication pattern in Paguyuban Abang Mpok Bekasi Regency, West Java, and the supporting and inhibiting factors in the process. In an organization, communication is inseparable from communication. Many phenomena occur in an organization, one of which is experiencing problems conveying information. In the process of organizational communication patterns in the Bekasi Regency Abang Mpok Association, there are various organizational patterns and opinions. The research was conducted using a qualitative method to provide an overview of the data obtained from the field. The Bekasi Regency Abang Mpok Association uses circular communication patterns when conducting coordination meetings to achieve organizational goals that have been mutually agreed upon so that work can be completed without errors. The solution that can be done is to hold coordination meetings every week and occasionally hold counseling and friendship with all members and administrators.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses komunikasi interpersonal untuk meningkatkan kinerja karyawan pada saat pandemic Covid-19. Penelitian dilakukan di PT Bumindo Ganesha Lalolo Jakarta. Permasalahannya, komunikasi secara langsung jarang terjadi, perintah kerja sering disampaikan melalui pesan Whatsapp dan memo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara mendalam dan teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil survei menunjukkan proses komunikasi interpersonal di PT Bumindo Ganesha Lalolo Jakarta guna meningkatkan kinerja karyawan dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan komunikasi dua arah dan pemimpin menampung aspirasi karyawan. Kendala yang dihadapi adalah kurangnya waktu untuk menyampaikan aspirasi atau berkomunikasi dengan pimpinan disebabkan oleh kesibukan administrasi. Upaya yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut dengan mengatur waktu berdialog atau berdiskusi dengan pimpinan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami strategi komunikasi pemasaran digital yang digunakan oleh Mixue Rawamangun di Jakarta Timur untuk meningkatkan penjualannya. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa Mixue Rawamangun menggunakan berbagai taktik pemasaran digital untuk meningkatkan penjualan, termasuk meningkatkan aksesibilitas pelanggan melalui Instagram, terlibat dalam interaksi aktif dengan pelanggan untuk menumbuhkan kepercayaan dan loyalitas merek, dan secara konsisten berbagi konten dan promosi menarik untuk mendorong penjualan. Strategi tersebut berkontribusi dalam menjaga kredibilitas merek, memitigasi umpan balik negatif, dan memperluas jangkauan dan efektivitas merek melalui platform media sosial. Meningkatkan kemampuan beradaptasi terhadap teknologi digital dan menerapkan praktik pemasaran digital juga dilakukan untuk meningkatkan daya saing dan memimpin pasar. This research aims to understand the digital marketing communication strategies used by Mixue Rawamangun in East Jakarta to increase its sales. The research methodology employed is qualitative descriptive analysis. Findings show that Mixue Rawamangun uses a variety of digital marketing tactics to improve sales, including increasing customer accessibility via Instagram, engaging in active interactions with customers to foster brand trust and loyalty, and consistently sharing engaging content and promotions to drive sales. The strategy contributes to maintaining brand credibility, mitigating negative feedback, and expanding brand reach and effectiveness through social media platforms. Improving the ability to adapt to digital technology and implementing digital marketing practices is also carried out to increase competitiveness and lead the market.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi komunikasi yang diterapkan oleh customer service PT Sarana Berkah Niaga untuk meningkatkan pelayanan prima kepada mitra Sabana Fried Chicken. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk untuk menemukan fenomena pernyataan negatif tentang kinerja layanan pelanggan yang kurang responsif di beberapa postingan Instagram @Sabanaku. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi wawancara, observasi partisipan, tinjauan pustaka, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi komunikasi yang diterapkan oleh bagian pelayanan pelanggan PT Sarana Berkah Niaga mengutamakan kebutuhan mitra dan bertujuan untuk memaksimalkan berbagai aspek. Strategi ini berfokus pada membangun hubungan yang kuat dengan mitra dengan bersikap terbuka dalam memberi dan menerima informasi, menunjukkan empati, memberikan dukungan baik verbal maupun non-verbal, menjaga sikap positif, dan menawarkan layanan yang setara. Selan itu, ada beberapa aspek lain yang diperhatikan, yaitu fasilitas fisik, daya tanggap, dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang masih perlu ditingkatkan lagi. This research aims to determine the communication strategies implemented by PT Sarana Berkah Niaga's customer service to improve excellent service to Sabana Fried Chicken partners. This research was conducted to find the phenomenon of negative statements about less responsive customer service performance in several @Sabanaku Instagram posts. Data collection techniques used in this research include interviews, participant observation, literature review, and documentation. The research results show that the communication strategy implemented by the customer service department of PT Sarana Berkah Niaga prioritizes partner needs and aims to maximize various aspects. This strategy focuses on building solid relationships with partners by being open in giving and receiving information, showing empathy, providing verbal and non-verbal support, maintaining a positive attitude, and offering equal service. Apart from that, there are several other aspects to pay attention to, namely physical facilities, responsiveness and problem-solving abilities that still need to be improved.

Abstract

Persaingan pasar industri otomotif di Indonesia sangat kompetitif dengan banyaknya kompetitor, sehingga Hyundai harus berjuang keras untuk memenangkan pangsa pasar di tengah persaingan ketat. Salah satu strategi yang digunakan adalah mengoptimalkan peran public relations. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran public relations dalam mengembangkan PT Hyundai Mobil Indonesia. Fokus utama penelitian adalah menganalisis strategi public relations yang digunakan oleh PT Hyundai Mobil Indonesia dalam meningkatkan citra perusahaan, membangun hubungan dengan berbagai pemangku kepentingan, dan mendukung pertumbuhan bisnis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, di mana data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan staf public relations, manajemen, serta tinjauan dokumen perusahaan dan media. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa public relations memainkan peran vital dalam mengkomunikasikan nilai-nilai dan visi perusahaan kepada publik. Strategi public relations yang efektif, seperti kampanye media, kegiatan corporate social responsibility, dan manajemen krisis, telah berhasil memperkuat citra positif PT Hyundai Mobil Indonesia di mata konsumen dan masyarakat luas.

Abstract

Social media is now an important aspect of individuals' daily activities, especially among generations Y and Z, who use it to express themselves and build their identities. The @Yuskyaudah account uses TikTok to build its existence and has been successful on FYP several times. The purpose of this study is to determine the content strategy of TikTok creator @Yuskyaudah as a form of self-existence through a study of Regina Luttrell's Circular Model of Some theory. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study examines the content production process, interactions with audiences, and strategies used by Yusky to construct his existence on the platform. Using a qualitative approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews and content observations and then validated using method triangulation techniques. The results of the study show that Titok @Yuskiyauda's content applies the concept of share, optimize, manage and engage to developself-existence.
