Abstract

Terdapat keterbatasan sumber belajar siswa dan sarana pembelajaran yang terdapat di SMP Negeri 1 Kendal. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut, dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui apakah media pembelajaran matematika SMP berbasis android berorientasi UoS pada materi lingkaran dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif. Penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan pertimbangan nilai pretest terendah yaitu kelas VIII G sebanyak 30 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran Matematika SMP berbasis android berorientasi UoS dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran interaktif matematika berbasis unity of sciences dengan bot API Telegram pada materi barisan dan deret geometri yang valid, praktis, dan efektif di SMK Negeri 4 Kendal. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4D, yaitu Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan lembar validasi, angket, wawancara, dan tes. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah kelas X RPL 2 sebanyak 35 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media dinyatakan layak pasca melalui validasi ahli dengan rerata skor 3,73 berkriteria sangat valid. Dalam hal kepraktisan, diperoleh rerata skor 3,43 dengan kriteria sangat praktis. Berdasarkan hasil uji keefektifan menggunakan uji t—berkolerasi (related) dengan dk = 35—2 = 33 dan taraf signifikansi 5% diperoleh thitung = 2,694 > ttabel = 1,967. Begitupun, dari uji N-Gain diperoleh skor 0,3107 berkriteria sedang. Hal ini menunjukkan media pembelajaran interaktif matematika berbasis unity of sciences dengan bot API Telegram pada materi barisan dan deret geometri efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh fakta bahwa siswa cenderung kesulitan dalam memberikan beragam jawaban dan cara dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan Matematika. Kemampuan tersebut merupakan bagian dari kemampuan berpikir kreatif yang dipengaruhi gaya berpikir siswa. Oleh karena itu, peneliti melakukan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis kemampuan berpikir kreatif Guilford berdasarkan gaya berpikir siswa. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 8 siswa kelas XI MIPA 2 di SMA Negeri  Kendal dengan rincian 2 siswa pada masing-masing gaya berpikir. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu angket, tes, dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan gaya berpikir sekuensial konkret masuk dalam kategori berpikir kreatif tingkat 3 yaitu kreatif. Hal itu karena mereka memenuhi 3 dari 4 indikator kemampuan berpikir kreatif Guilford. Siswa dengan gaya berpikir sekuensial abstrak, accak konkret, dan acak abstrak masuk dalam kategori berpikir kreatif tingkat 2 yaitu cukup kreatif. Hal itu karena mereka mampu memenuhi 2 dari 4 indikator kemampuan berpikir kreatif Guilford.Kata Kunci: gaya berpikir, kemampuan berpikir kreatif Guilford, hasil belajar.

Abstract

The learning process in eighth-grade classes at SMPN 2 Sewon does not adequately support students' development of mathematical reflective thinking abilities. Consequently, students continue to rely heavily on memorization of formulas, leading to persistent challenges in problem-solving. This study aims to investigate the potential impact of the WEE (Wondering, Exploring, and Explaining) learning model on the mathematical reflective thinking abilities of eighth-grade students at SMP N 2 Sewon. This research follows a quantitative approach, employing experimental methods and adopting a posttest-only control design. The study's population consists of eighth-grade students at SMP N 2 Sewon, and a sample of 32 students from class VIII C and 32 students from class VIII D was selected using a cluster random sampling technique. The findings indicate that students who were exposed to the WEE learning model demonstrated superior mathematical reflective thinking abilities compared to those who did not experience this instructional approach. In conclusion, the WEE learning model significantly influences students' mathematical reflective thinking abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to identify how the process of critical thinking of prospective teachers in solving mathematical problems in the Department of Mathematics Education, Faculty of Science and Technology, Walisongo State Islamic University, is viewed from a qualitative learning style. The purposive sampling method was used to determine six prospective teachers as research subjects. Each visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning style is represented by 2 subjects. The auxiliary instruments in this study consisted of a learning style questionnaire, a critical thinking ability test, and an interview guide. Critical thinking indicators were developed through consideration of the main elements of FRISCO, the level of cognitive thinking according to Bloom and the Steps of Problem Solving According to John Dewey. Data processing through the stages of data collection, data reduction, and data verification with the triangulation method. The results of the study show that auditory and kinesthetic learning styles have lower critical thinking process characteristics than visual learning styles in solving math problems. From the interview process it was revealed that the ability to argue based on valid and logical facts, all types of learning styles is still quite low. However, all three have strong potential to develop critical thinking skills through stimulation from educators.

Abstract

Mathematical communication skills are the basic ability to formulate initial concepts in solving mathematical problems. The level of mathematical communication skills can be influenced by various factors, one of which is gender. This study used a qualitative method through a descriptive approach, with the aim of describing the mathematical communication skills of class VIII-G students at SMPN 23 Semarang based on gender. Data were obtained through tests, questionnaires, and interviews. The results showed that students in the masculine, feminine, and androgynous categories mastered mathematical communication skills. Students with masculine and androgynous genders had the same understanding of all mathematical communication skill indicators used, while students with feminine genders failed to master any of the mathematical communication skill indicators used. The difference in mastery of mathematical communication skill indicators between masculine and androgynous students and feminine students lies in forming mathematical models through pictorial illustrations.
