Abstract

Abstract - Since the Law No.21 of 2008 concerning Islamic Banking, there are only 4 Islamic business unit that have conducted spin-off which are BRI Sharia, BNI Sharia, Bukopin Sharia and BJB Sharia. The number of study regarding spin-off efficiency is still quite small. The study uses input-oriented VRS DEA model with intermediation approach to measure efficiency. Since the results show non-parametric data, Mann-Whitney test is used for hypothesis testing to examine the significant level of the efficiencies before and after conducting spin-off. The average efficiency of BRI Sharia, BNI Sharia, and BJB Sharia has improved after conducting spin-off. In the contrary, average efficiency of Bukopin Sharia has decreased after conducting spin-off. Looking at the trend-line, those four Islamic Banks possess better movement post spin-off than pre spin-off. There is no significant difference of BRI Sharia and BNI Sharia for both before and after conducting spin-off based on Mann-Whitney test. A significant difference occurs in Bukopin Sharia and BJB Sharia. Conventional commercial bank which has an Islamic business unit can learn about efficiency of pre and post-spin-off performances of 4 Islamic Commercial Banks that have performed spin-off to prepare adequate insight before actually conducting spin-off.Keywords: Data Envelopment Analysis, efficiency, intermediation approach, Islamic banks, spin-off

The research method used in this study is Sociological Juridical, which is research that explains the phenomenon of money politics practice in the 2023 Sumberejo village head election with primary data and secondary data, namely primary data through interviews and secondary data through literature studies. The results of this study explain that the process of the phenomenon of money politics practice occurs during the candidacy or registration stage and during the campaign or election stage. Where at the registration or candidacy stage, it was found that money was given in the amount of Rp. 50,000 and at the campaign or election stage, it was found that the money giver was approximately in the range of Rp. 150,000 – Rp 200,000.  Of the three candidates who registered, there were 2 candidates who practiced money politics. The factors that affect the cause of the practice of money politics are due to the educational factor, namely the lack of public understanding of the meaning of the village head election. In addition to education, there is also an economic factor because the average economy of the people of Sumberejo Village is lower class, where the election of the village head is used as a momentum to receive money from the village head candidate and there is also a cultural tradition or habit factor where the culture of money politics has become a habit and has been rooted since the time the village head election arrived.

Abstract

Digital transformation in higher education requires administrative staff to have sufficient digital competence to enhance efficiency, productivity, and service quality. This study examines the effect of digital training on staff performance, both directly and through digital competence as a mediating variable. A quantitative method was employed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Squares (PLS). Results indicate that digital training positively and significantly affects staff performance. Digital competence also mediates the relationship between digital training and performance. The outer model confirms all indicators are valid and reliable, while the inner model shows strong variable relationships. These findings support previous research on the importance of digital competence in improving performance. The study emphasizes the need for continuous, needs-based digital training to support digital transformation and strengthen the effectiveness and competitiveness of administrative staff in higher education.
